Which Evangelion BD encode is the least edited from the original release? Seems like they're all filtered or color-corrected.
I have nothing against encoders trying to make shit look nicer, I'm just curious what the studio thought was good enough to put out.

ep 25 and 26 indicate that "good enough" is pretty bad

No, Google, it's not stage time.

I thought RX can withstand more than that, or is it just Biorider with that limit
Nope, it's Count Up Your Sins Time.

how back in time does one have to go to find a mecha anime with worst animation than IBO? Is a decade far enough? Do you have to go back to the original 0079?
Bonus question: how does Gargantia, a show where the robot gets used as a stove, get more robot action than a GUNDAMU show?

Age.
>>13885432
AGE is garbage, but it has pretty solid animation.

Gargantia isn't shit, unlike IBO

that would be incredible but its not true
Gainax has had some strange projects in the past, but I think this tops them all.
One of them was that Nagano had originally planned to direct a 30 minute FSS OVA (he was also music director), animated by Gainax and with "support" from Anno (maybe as a co-director?) in 1988. There would also be a running commentary on various FSS resin kits by Nagano as part of the bonus features. Whole thing was supposed to be sold for 9800 yen. But the project was aborted for unknown reasons.
This has got to go in the folder of greatest dead projects along with Oshii and Miyazaki's Anchor and Tomino's Dunbine movie.

Hacks like to stick together.
Next.
Its not all that surprising when you consider Nagano's wife is a VA on a lot of the older Gainax shows and OVAs.
Nagano and Anno collaboration though... throw in Ikuni and we would get something transcendental. Everyone from that 80s generation of Otaku creators is so closely connected.
>>13884435
>Its not all that surprising when you consider Nagano's wife is a VA on a lot of the older Gainax shows and OVAs.
Could've sworn it was just Gunbuster and a cameo in Eva. Hardly a strong connection.
If you could miraculously go back in time and change the production history or event of any /m/ related show, movie, game etc, what would you change?
>>13883953
Pic related.I would prevent any sort of sequel from existing.

Basicially this, it would save mecha as a whole, maybe make Zeta less shitty and leave Turn-A in existance.
The Geass is a rip-off of the Word of God from Preacher. Both allow the users victims to obey their words and their eye glows red and both main characters are out for revenge. Only the Geass is never used as memorably as the Word of God is. Jesse Custer told people to fuck themselves, count every grain of sand on the beach. The only time the Geass stood out was when he told that guy to never speak again. But all of that is for nothing as that guy dies literally half a minute later. What's the point of doing something like that if there are no repercussions, we never see how much their life sucks afterwards?
>>13883948
>Preacher invented magical brainwashing or hypnosis
That's just as bad as pretending Code Geass invented it.
>>13883948
What about that girl he told to mark that wall every day. Did he ever specify how long? Is she just going to spend the rest of her life frantically trying to sneak on to campus to mark that wall every day? Does she end up in a padded room?
People hated Climax UC for some reason, but i liked it. Its like improved encounters in space, but not only in space alone.
Progression mode was better than mission mode, because actually contained a well written story, not just simple missions.
I love everything that place similar to Another Century's Episode, though.

I just finished OOO. This has to be the most underrated Rider series since Blade. Why is this not talked about more?
I will agree with the common thought that the second third of the show is pretty slow and repetitive but the last like 15 episodes are some of the best stuff modern Rider has put out. Especially the the last two episodes.Ankh doing the TAKA KUJAKU CONDOR and his goodbye to Eiji legit made me tear up.Also the supporting cast is GOAT.
I don't know why I didn't watch this when it was airing, but I can say it was a mistake to miss it
>>13883651
It's one of my favorite Rider series too, second only toAgito.
I think it comes down to how much the slow middle dragged down the show for you. I personally love the gimmick and the characters enough that I didn't mind the fact that the villains don't really provide an urgent threat until the purple medals show up.
Pretty sure Os is widely agreed by most of /m/ to be one of the best modern Riders. There was also a poll in a Japanese magazine about 2-3 years ago where it ended up being the top-rated Rider overall (or of all Heisei at the time) amongst all age groups.
I know for sure it's my favorite Rider.
I love how well it handles the messages and themes about desire. While it may not be the best Rider show out there purely from a writing standpoint, it's probably still my favorite.
Emo shit
