Effective enough that they continued to be produced as attachment vessels for future Macross-class vessels until the introduction of the Battle-class, at least.

Depends on what constitutes frontline, anyways, the two ARMDs were holding their own against smaller vessels by kiting with reaction missiles until Britai's battleship stepped on the scene and shut them down through sheer volume of fire.

If the Master Files can be believed at all, there were at least 200+ ARMDs eventually constructed.

It depends on what they're wanting to rebel against and the principles of the new nation, but if I agree with them then sure. If there were giant robots involved I probably wouldn't be physically fit to pilot one anyway.

I'm still trying to get over the fact that Sengoku Era Japan had mecha technology. It's the ONE thing that still detracts my enjoyment of the show (it gnaws into my mind every episode), but I just imagine it that somehow our MC and Hime gundamjacked one of the invading demons. Hopefully they get into how they acquired the Kuromukuro in the first place, if only to give me peace of mind.

Overall, I actually like the characters a lot, especially the MC. He doesn't do crazy things just for the heck of it, and once he has truly grasped his reality, he settled down. Pretty much he's the idealized samurai archetype, which ironically is severely underrepresented in the anime world.

The one reaction that bothered me though was blond girl freaking out getting groped... if she really was that skilled, her training would've made her hold even tighter, possibly literally choking the MC to death.

Kamen Rider Kuuga is perhaps my favorite piece of media to ever exist. Everything from the cinematography, to the attention to detail enraptured me. There's just something about a man who's dedicated to protecting everyone's smiles that I find to be absolutely beautiful.

After Kamen Rider had been gone for 11 years, Godai Yusuke slapped on the Arcle and became the Kamen Rider of the modern age, facing things unlike most Riders have ever before, and doing so all alone. Even from the very first Kamen Rider, there has always been an ally Rider by the main Rider's side, but against the Gurongi Tribe, Kuuga fought all his battles alone.

And they were a fierce group of enemies, killing civilians left and right, thousands upon thousands dying in their games. And very horrible, graphic deaths at that.

But even with the odds stacked against him, Godai perseveres, at the risk of his very own soul as the thing that gives him power is also the thing that made his enemies into what they are.

Kuuga is a horror, a comedy, a slice of life and mystery all rolled into one with action tying it all together.

It is not just my favorite Kamen Rider, it's one of my favorite things ever.
