Post music, not from an /m/ property but still /m/ as shit
iM@S has a few number of songs that could easily be mistaken for /m/usic.
Like Trancing Pulse sounds close to Ace Attacker.

Goes well with SRW Battle sequence even!

There was the jewish music that sounded like a 80s mecha anime theme song.

This?
I had an idea. What if Super Sentai/Power Rangers went the meta route and actually made a season where the theme was toys?
Can I get some thoughts on this?
They already did.

I always had the idea of Element Sentai, no other themes just elements
Red - Fire
Blue (female) - Water/Ice
Yellow - Lightening
Green - Earth/Leaf
White - Wind
6th Black - Space
The gimmick would be they can mix and match their elemental attacks like Green and Red mix to do a lava attack.
>>14204430
That's an awesome idea which most Sentai fail to do. What would the mecha be?
For me it was Sentinel.
Read some seed destiny porn, snowballed from there

Can we have an Iron Man armor thread? Post your favorites.
The Mark 46 is a sexy piece of engineering. All that red, all those lights, all those ANGRY EYE LINES.
Current Top 5 (MCU)
1. Mk 46 Civil War
2. Mk 45 Age of Ultron
3. Hulkbuster Age of Ultron
4. Starboost Iron Man 3
5. Mk 1 Iron Man 1
>>14201535
Not a fan of that crotch armor looking like a diaper though.
>>14201561
it's unfortunate, but i wouldn't know what else it could look like
This is still my favorite.
Post manly hot-blooded pilots.
>>14201263
haven't seeing that in a while, no wonder they ran out of budget, that looks pretty good in comparison to IBO or squiggly-line battles
>>14201263
Strange to recall that Shinji was on his way to a good place for a while, and then he got stuck in a dimensional trap.
I'm Han Solo
I'm Han Solo
I'm Han Solo
>Han Solo's origin story
What for? We all know he ends alone, miserable and failed at everything; killed by his own son.
Han Solo is barely a distinct character; he's Harrison Ford in space. That's the appeal. I don't want to see someone do a Ford impression in a cutesy story where you see how he met Chewbacca, how he got the Falcon, and how he found a set of clothes in Lando's old closet that just happen to be his iconic outfit.
>>14199983
I think that's the best and most interesting and fitting story for the character. I could never see him having a truly happy ending, being some well respected general or politician.
>>14199970
I like that actor, but really?
No fuckin way dos that look jive.
Everyone and their dog has an issue with ZZ, but what I wanna know is why is the eponymous mobile suit so god damn ugly? How did they go fromas magnificent as the Zeta to a fucking brick that transforms into another brick?
>implying
It's the colors.
That's all for right now since the other few aren't so finished yet. But the ZZ can look really good, so it isn't really the design. It just needs some work.
Can we get a /m/ug thread?
ITT: Your favorite "bad" /m/-related thing.
That show/game/whatever that you acknowledge has more flaws than strengths, but you still love anyways.
I'll start with my favorite worst-mecha-game, Front Mission Evolve. Yeah, yeah, I know it's a rushed, poorly produced, mediocre shooter that brings shame onto the Front Mission name. But I still find myself replaying it once a year, partially because of the nostalgia glasses I wear and partially because I think the game is genuinely good at making you feel like you're getting stronger as the game goes on. Comparing to what you're doing in the first level, you can get into some crazy shit by the end.
FLAG is a terrible anime.
But I think it's pointing in the right direction for where I hope mecha will go: A large emphasis on world building, an acknowledgement that mechs aren't god-machines, and a main character who isn't a mech driver
Robotech: Invasion because it's the closest I'll ever get to a Mospeada game.
How beefy of a Gundam would you need to take down a Vajra, assuming it hasn't adapted to UC weaponry yet?
You'll need a Newtype and a post Zeon suit.
>>14194563
Zeta or better, then? Yeah, I can see that working out.
Hard to say. Vajra armor has been shown to be ridiculously tough depending on the episode.
>>14194563
Would a Newtype even work against a Vajra? They don't really have emotions or thoughts so how would they react to their attacks?
Why was Showa Godzilla so bad after the original? Is it just the general rule of Showa toku being bad in general or did they just try to squeeze as much money out of the character as they could?
Pretty sure this is still considered good.
Went too kid-friendly. No, it doesn't have to be as dark as the original, but this is too far in the other direction.
>>14189216
Was popular, made money, audiences didn't want serious shit anymore, nor did the studio higher-ups. Then the movie industry went to absolute shit in general.
Gotta say, I really enjoy Ideon. It's a personal favorite of mine.
SOMEBODY LIKES SOMETHING

BRING IN THE SHITPOSTS
What did you like about it, OP?
Me personally, I liked how one of the series' signature designs is a freaking tripod. You don't see a lot of those outside War of the Worlds.
I still haven't watched it yet because I'm waiting for the BDs. They're not just lifting the Shin Getter subs for those, are they? After watching their subs for L-Gaim and seeing how incomprehensible it was in places, I'm considering them only a small step above crabsticks
Show me more realistic space ship depicted in movies, video games, tv shows or anime.
Protip: you can't
>>14185732
> realistic space ship depicted in movies
Pretty sure that I can, for pretty obvious reasons.
>>14185732
>he wants realism on the board about giant ass robots and literal magic
Now, this thread is pretty obviously bait, and if not (which is dreadfully unlikely) it's in shit taste and mindset, but if you'd wanted actual spaceships you want /g/, /tg/, and /egg/.
>realistic space ship
So you only want us to post Nasa's and USSR's shuttles?
This mech triggers me.
It has a completely indestructible forcefield and the fucking retarded martians decide to weigh it down with more armor than any other mech on the show.
When something can literally walk through buildings because of its bullshit magical forcefield, IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW MUCH ARMOR IT HAS.
Also, since they can obviously shape the field, why didn't they just install a few hundred pinhole cameras and armor *those*. Maybe make some of those IR cameras while you're at it so smoke doesn't completely cripple your supermech.
This thing should be built like a cheetah. Its primary offensive capability should be just running through the enemy at high speeds. Argh the stupidity hurts my brain.

>mech
I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're refering to as a Mech, is in fact, メカニカル, or as I've recently taken to calling it, Mecha. Mecha is not a genre unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning concept made manifest by the existence of vehicles, military equipment and of course, robots, comprising a full concept as defined by MAHQ.
Many posters use a modified definition of the メカニカル term every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of メカニカル which is widely used today is often called Mech, and many of its posters are not aware that it is basically the Robotech term, developed by Harmony Gold.
So unless discussing Robotech or Battletech, please refer to giant robots as "Mecha" and remember to lurk before posting to get used to board culture and knowledge on the subject that is unknown to you.
>>14183045
and thats how you trigger people.
