To be fair to that anon, at least, art direction has generally followed in DYRL's footsteps and with SDF being a more story based product, there are more story cues taken from it, over SDF.

Not that it matters since everything is and isn't canon at the same time, so who cares.

And even then, I remember a Zent farmer on Frontier that was not green in the slightest, and Temzin or whoever was still purple, so it's not like DYRL really changed the book in aesthetic designs that much for Zents in the grand scheme of things.

In the last like third of the series there's a few points where Gamlin, trying to take Basara's message to heart, tries to target just the wings of the enemy. Notably exactly what Mirage said last episode "The wings, if I can just hit the wings"

Messer seems to have Var syndrome.

Guess there will be an episode of Var affected Messer vs Hayate. Episode ends with them getting along better

Macross Delta develops the story very well. I was honestly skeptical on the first episode. Was afraid this was going to turn into another Macross 7. But now I'm happy that we can ignore Basara's existence, even thou he got mentioned on the culture legends review scene.

I've always wondered what the different model designations mean.

For example the VF-31J, VF-31C, VF-31E, VF-31F, VF-31S.

What do the J,C,E,F,S mean?

I know Ozma was using a VF-25S, and Roy Focker was also using a "S" type. So those probably are higher-tuned special setups or something.

I know Alto was also using a VF-25F, and messer us a VF-31F. But what does that "F" stand for>
