Are there any great books with a mentally unstable main protagonist/narrator? I'm not talking about Raskolnikov or Meursault-type of emotionally detached/conflicted characters, I'm thinking about audio-visual hallucinations, being batshit insane, that type of stuff.

This is the new /lit/.
Blacktext.
It is sincere. It is complete.
Blacktext isn't writing words on a screen, words which aren't greentext. Blacktext is the pathos of /lit/.
>
Writing between these symbols is blacktext.
>
The literary significance of blacktext is sincerity. Each word that is blacktexted is devoid of literary deceit. It is a Truth.
This is the way forward for /lit/. Blacktext.
I will not reach to describe every aspect of Blacktext, I want /lit/ to find its true meaning through its use.
Blacktext is the new /lit/.
Bump for Blacktext.
Gay
/lit/ needs Blacktext

What does /lit/ think of Toni Morrison?
not much
inb4 "She can only write racially centered novels, is not very talented or original ultimately, and largely received the Nobel Prize because of affirmative action"
inb4
"Really good, just read her."
inb4
arguments about the Bell Curve Theory, Tah Nehisi Coates' useage of the phrase "black bodies," details of the Trayvon Martin shooting, unironic and unselfware blatant neo nazism, well-meaning and carelessly arranged critiques of racism, etc.
I liked the Bluest Eye. Nice use of beautiful imagery while dealing with uncomfortable topics.
>Tolkien can say that Aragorn became king and reigned for a hundred years, and he was wise and good. But Tolkien doesn’t ask the question: What were Aragorn’s bowel movements like?
Why didn't they just send eagles to wipe his ass?

Hello. Abuse me. I can't care for it anymore. I've decided to write a book and publish it anonymously.
This idea struck me while browsing a thread that discussed writing processes.
I took away only one thing from that thread: none of you are writers. You're aspiring authors. Abuse more, commence now. I care not.
I will begin writing tonight and complete the only draft within two weeks. I will write nearly 200 pages.
Then I will mail it to publishing houses.
I seek nothing out of this exercise except the right to call myself an author. Irregardless of me being published or not, I will come out of this a better man.
I realise that my first draft of a novel I haven't yet decided on will probably not make for a decent read. But then, neither does Rupi. Wish me luck.
P.s.:- This isn't copy pasta.
