What are some books with themes about alienation?

FUCK, i made a self-portrait similar to this and thought it was somewhat original.
There's like, Brave New World, and there's like, Kafka's book, like the Metamorphosis, or, like, The Castle, and you also have like lots of existential writers, like Camus, in The Stranger, which is like very existential and about alienation.
What are some good books that take place partially or entirely within dreams?

Sorry that I don't have any recommendations, but have you watched Waking life?
I think I've seen it 4 or 5 times, incredible movie.

What does /lit/ think of Invisible Man? I loved it.
>>8693876
I had the original idea for an xbox gamertag using this same play on the invisible i's by placing spaces in their place "Inv s ble when I was younger. It was taken. So I suppose not entirely original. Heh. . .
when i was a kid i went to blockbuster with my dad to get a movie. i came across this movie called "the invisible kid" and showed it to my dad. for some reason i started lying my ass off and making stuff up about the movie that even i believed as i said it, saying it was a prequel to the famous "invisible man" story and so on. "this is the story of him when he was a kid," i said. i hadnt even read the back of the box, i was just pulling this from nowhere. so he got it for me and that night i watched it in the den alone while he was upstairs in the computer room working. turns out that even though the movie was rated pg there was quite a lot of nudity in it, including a scene where the invisible kid, who was a high-school kid, infiltrates the girls' locker room where the girls are all standing around topless. i was in a tough spot. i could easily just not tell my dad that the movie contained nudity, but if he ever found out, he'd think i knew about the nudity all along and tricked him. so what i did was i rewinded the movie and watched the locker room scene a few times, then i stopped the movie and went upstairs. i went to the computer room, where my dad was, and told him that the movie had nudity in it and i stopped watching it and came up here to tell him. he said thanks for telling me, and that's my story.
It's good. Very good for American lit. It's a shame stuff like To Kill a Mockingbird is taught in schools over something like this
or the brain and writing ability of your favorite author
what is your choice?
I'm quite enjoying developing my own style, thanks. What would be the point in taking short-cuts? You'd only be accused of ripping off the author you've taken the writing ability of.
Besides which, if you "have" their brain then you'd cease to be you and their personality would take your place. You'd essentially be dead.
Easy, I'll take the brain and ability of Joyce.
I'd rather be myself, thank you very much. In fact, I don't thank you for proposing such a ridiculous thing as magically becoming someone else.
I won't even mention any authors that I admire because of your bizarre thread formulation.
can a person who does not have any morals be morally corrupt?
Morals are absolute, so yes. At most a person can be nescient of the right things to do, but she'll still be subject to the power of morality, aka God's law, or, in the vague, grotesque terms of eastern mysticism, Karma. It's why robbers always get robbed eventually, and why good religious people go into heaven eventually.
Depends what you mean by morally corrupt
define morals.
that said, yes because he can engage in behavior that is defined as immoral by his community. so, he will be punished, excluded or isolated. his subjective experience per se is irrelevant in the intersubjective world. not only his' but everyones, it all boils down to behavior.

Currently alone in the dark here.
Alright my mates,
We are planning a lit podcast given the relative lack of them and the demand presented. We have two hosts so far, myself and another memer, and we are looking for other folks. Feel free to join and talk with us.

If literature is meant to express the human condition, could you point me to the books that:
1. Talk about what it's like to be an unattractive male in an age where women have shitloads of tinder matches with Chads and it's impossible for unattractive males to get casual sex or relationships?
2. Ostracised due to either ugliness or lack of normieness

My Twisted World by Elliot O.R. Rodger
At some point I thought that HE would sellout to the main-stream, but he surprised me a great deal by staying true to the number one rule of Witchcraft, which is to never reveal your secrets for monetary gains.
>>8693194
No he's just an edgy retard.
Lost Girls was kinda good though.
better watch out for nick land

>No he's just an edgy retard.
I don't think so, DC was pressuring him and throwing millions at him to back-up that shit Watchmen movie he said fuck you and walked away because they removed all the occult symbolism and witchcraft from the film. That's when I knew that he wasn't doing it just for the money. He's the last true modern wizard that believe in the art of Black Magic.
So what collections of his should I buy?
none there all shit

all of them
Learn spanish, translations are waste time better spent on books you can read in their original language.
>analyzing poetry
>or any other form of art
what is wrong with people. might as well just open their stomachs after a meal to be sure it is digesting.
>Reading
>Doing anything ever
What is wrong with people. Might as well just not ever be born in the first place
It'd be more like analyzing your mouth and tongue as you're tasting the food.
And if you think gastronomes wouldn't love to be able to do that, then you really are just a stupid kid.

Are you 12? I'm just trying to figure out what age someone has to be to seriously think that they understand great poetry or art without any effort or research.
Any manly books that you would recommend anon? For example something like Conan, but it doesn't have to be only a fantasy/medieval set up.
