When I was but a wee chantard/ED fag, I used to use gayness as an insult all the time - the rationale was that it was more insulting to homophobes (and their close cousins in the Christian right and neocon political family) than it was to other people, so I was especially keen to use it on them. That's not to say this is a good modus operandi - it's absolutely trollish. But so is literally any tattoo depicting oral sex.
