Ok i've got a moral dilemma.
First of all i live in commie Sweden so the gun laws here are... pretty draconic.
But i decided to try to get a license for a singleshot 22lr revolver, you can get those on a hunting license for killing trapped badgers and the like.

I just figured since i can get one i should get one but the only one they had at the store was a mint condition S&W M17 from the late 50s and they offered to weld 5 of the chambers shut so i'm allowed to buy it.
They wanted 900SEK for it, that's about 80USD

I've always loved the M17 and i really want it but i don't know if i could live with myself knowing that i've ruined it by having them destroy the cylinder.

help...

I can't urge you strongly enough to get out of Sweden. Things are only going to get worse.
>>
>>27968273
Jesus H. Christ.

Save the gun and get something else, OP. Your first impulse was correct. that's like only being able to buy an economy car, so you get a Maserati with all cylinders but one welded shut. Fuck.
>>
>>27968289

I'm looking in to just that to be honest.
This ship is going down,

Thinking about moving to Canada or the US but how in the fuck do i even go about bringing my guns with me since i'm pretty sure i can't just show up at the border with a sack full of rifles demanding politcal asylum ;)

My gf wanted to get a carry gun, and ive already taken her to stores and let her poke around. So far, she really wants a .380, preferably striker fired. But, almost all the ones shes tried are too small.
Are there any .380s out there that don't look like they came as a prize in a cereal box?
16 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>27968077
Maybe one of those bersas.
Try them. Honestly though, I thought the only reason that .380 was still a thing was because of being able to be in guns like that...
>>
>>27968077
glock 42 in all seriousness. Its slightly bigger then other .380s in its class and seems to fit the criteria. I don't think it was as bad as people complained about either

Beretta 84 or 85.
Best 380 there is. 84 is double stack with 13+1 and 85 is single stack 8+1. Expensive for a 380 but well worth it.

Is there any point to buying a bolt action in this day and age, other than children pretending to be elite snipers?
68 posts and 12 images submitted.
>>
>>27968033
They're more accurate, tend to come in bigger calibers, are stupid simple, and often times just plain fun.
Most surplus rifles are bolt action, meaning they're cheap too, which makes them good rifles to start with,

>>27968033
More accurate than semi for their price range.

Looking for someone who knows bows as well as guns around here. I know little about bows and want a hunting compound.

What would you say is the "Glock 19" of bows? Aka, it's not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but I won't regret buying it in 2 years.

I don't want the "hi point" or "SIG limited edition" of bows... Just something decent. What do?

Also bow general.

Before you take anything else in, stop and watch this video.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BEG-ly9tQGk

Much of the information regarding archery is hollywood myths and spun up falsehoods from archery "clubs" that purport to teach specific ancient styles. Lars has done the grunt work for the archery community in exposing these falsehoods and myths for what they are, scouring an enormous amount of ancient texts and illustrations, digging down to the core of true archery. It's important not to let yourself get swept up by people who claim to have proper techniques, when in reality they have no video evidence of their abilities, nor do they discuss where they actually learned from.

Lars is the real deal, his videos show his skill, and he's very open with where and how he learned, the proper way, seriously I know this sounds like a bunch of playing up but look at the view count and ratings, Lars has changed the archery community.

Compound bows serve no purpose and they will limit your skill and instill bad habits, get a recurve bow, start learning to carry your arrows in your off hand, learn from the techniques discovered and shown in his videos.

So how will you prepare for civil war when Hillary bans your "salt rifles?" What would you do? What gear would you buy? What preparations would you make? What guns do you bury?

So, my grandfather is gifting me one of these rifles, he told me to choose between a remington 700 and a steyr ssg 69

need advice,Which one is better?

Steyr blows Remington out of the water.
>>
>>27967377
Assuming it will be a new manufacture Remington, the Steyr is a better quality rifle (an a very cool action to boot). However, if aftermarket is important to you the Remington will be the rifle to have.

Once you learn your shit you can get a .45 or a smaller gun. You want a compromise between grip length and capacity. Slide length isn't as much of an issue because it isn't the part sticking of of the holster.

Military and Epilepsy

Can I join the military with epilepsy? I know the quick answer to anyone would be no. But I haven't had a seizure in 2 and a half years. Anyone care to chip in?

You really think a history of randomly blacking out for periods of time in your life will be allowed in the military lol? Unless there's world war 3 OP and millions die you may be accepted then in the draft.

Hello /k/, I might or might not be in serious trouble.

Greentext time

>see gunbroker auction for a handgun I want
>bid on it, and win
>contact the guy, he asks to have the info from the FFL I want it shipped to
>I go to my local FFL and they email their info out to him
>gun gets shipped out via USPS
>everything seems fine so far
>1 hour ago:
>get a call from my FFL
>they inform me that the gun arrived, but...
>the guy who shipped the gun was not an FFL, and did not use a 3rd party FFL to ship the gun
>this is 100% illegal for him to do via USPS. You have to be an FFL to ship handguns that way

>now the gun store says they've got to call the ATF and have them investigate this, and say they need all the info they can get on this guy
>we decide that I'll call the guy up and convince him to email a picture of his driver's license to them
>it was their idea, and I just want to cooperate
>I call the guy up, and act like it's a normal thing to send a pic of your driver's license to the FFL, and ask him why he didn't
>he doesn't seem to know very much about this, and apologizes, then says he'll do it before the end of the day
>I call the gun store to let them know that the guy agreed
>at this point neither them nor me think that I've broken the law, but we're not 100% sure
>just to clarify: I have not received the gun, nor did I know that this other guy was going to break the law at all
>I just called a criminal defense attorney, but he was at lunch, so I left a message with his secretary

Is there anything else I should do?
Anything more I should know?
Has anyone been in a similar situation before?

pls help

Why would you get fucked for someone else doing something illegal? All youre doing is picking up a gun from an FFL. How it got there is none of your business, and nothing you had control over.

God damn it /k/, it's happening again. They're trying to repeal stand your ground in Michigan. I know Michigan hasn't been the greatest in gun rights, but we had this!
