If Germany had developed the stg44 before they started the war , could they have won?
Just fucking stop.
>>28023184
no, slight tactical advantage means jack shit in a war
also everyone else would have switched to assault rifles too within a year or two
>>28023184
Germany had become too vilified by even the beginning of the war to win due to breaking all treaties and offers of peace by continued annexations. They could've 'won' or atleast persisted if they fought against solely communism as America would likely support them but by no means European domination even with better conventional tech. The only viable tech that would've made a major difference in outcome would be nuclear weapons.
Also not a historian, correct me If I'm mistaken
Hello /k/, random eurofag here,
I want to buy a handgun for recreational purposes (I'd like to ride down to a shooting range and fire some rounds just for keks).
What would be a good handgun to start with?
I'm currently drawn towards the iconic 1911-style and the Walther PP style pistols.
Or should I go for a revolver because they're supposed to be easier and more "reliable"?
Also any advice?
PS. I never shot a gun before. I'm currently enrolled in the necessary procedures.
see if any ranges rent guns out, also i would go with someone who has experience with guns as well or take a class or something
Get whatever is appealing for you
If it's just for fun, do it for fun
Try to test a few guns is you can first
What country ?
>>28023075
I have an ex-military bud.
He'd teach me a few things but I'll take an initiation workshop first.
I'm pretty sure "renting" weapons is not allowed over here.
>>28023093
Belgium
Is there much difference in caliber size? Obviously I would take something popular but does it pay off the buy (for example) a .22 design for cheaper cartridges?
I went to test fit my new rounds I reloaded and after cycling 2 rounds through the gun I noticed one of the rounds had a very, very light primer strike. Is this just a primer seating issue, or a 1911 specific issue?
Did it fire though?
>>28022975
I think he means the primers got dinged just from being chambered.
factory ammo, handload, or factory reload?
and have you dicked with the gun at all?
Does anyone here carry a bushcraft/wild camping bag when they go shooting innawoods? I've been putting together a kit that I plan on using tac ties to strap it to a chest rig. Being pretty new to the gun world I don't really know where to start with rigs.
Wanna rate my gear?
Ive taken it on a couple overnights, but I want input to what I could adjust to make my pack a bit better. A few things I am going to add from the experience I had on the over nights.
-even though I live in FL I still need some kind of insulation in my hammock. I'm thinking an under quilt or some type of blanket. I'd rather just bring my picnic blanket cause it's one side fleece and the other is waterproof.
-Yo-Yo mechanical fishers and speedhooks.
-Gaiters.
-Maybe a Firebox but I'm still on the fence on this one.
Not pictured:
Rothco Waterbottle Carrier
Stanley Headlamp 3xaaa
I'm not going to list this kit in any particular order:
- IFAK (R.A.T. Maxpedition Wallet)
- Tool Kit (Ferrorod-Lighter-Lighting-Whistle-Riteinrain-Watch-Boker Oilpen-Sharpie-Compass-DC4-Thermometer)
- Tarp in Drybag
- Maxpedition Rollypolly Extreme Backpack
- Gtg Fatboy (Once I break camp I like to go light when I'm hunting/fishing)
- Woolrich Safari hat
- GSI SS cup
- Merino gloves
- 3 emergency ration rice packs
- Blue Desert Hydration system for SS Guyot Nalgene
- Nalgene Guyot SS 38oz.
- Guyot SS 32 oz.
- Frogg Toggs Light Poncho wrapped in Bungicord
- Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock
- Rope
- Two Point Sling
- Bahco Folding Saw
- Bk16 in leather pocket sheath
- Bk14 & Flashlight in leather pocket sheath
I plan on buying a Ruger GP100 in .357 and a Ruger 77/357 for woods use. This is in February. At the same time I'm going to buy a Vepr in 7.62x54r but this will be too heavy for anything more than 3 day trips.
There's a patch of molle webbing where I can slap this thing on a chest rig, in case anyone was wondering how I would do that.
>>28022708
II want to get some slav gear for both airshit and innawoods. Should I get a 6b45 like pic or a korund? Also a 6b47 helmet or maybe something else?
You may want to add some packages of electrolyte replacement like CeraSport to your list.
Also add a 2'x2' or 4'x'4' section of cheesecloth for pre-screening water before it goes in your filter hose. You can fold it over and put it over the inlet for your filter and it keeps the larger flotsam and jetsam from fouling it.
Extra good quality socks and footpowder are always important even if you "think" you are only going out for a day or two.
Always bring a carabiner rated for more than 600 lbs if you bring rope. You can wrap a length of rope around a tree but and then hook a carabiner to it allowing you a frictionless (well.. reduced friction) surface to run another rope through for heaving, hauling or whatever.
Spare batteries for your primary light source.
Bug spray is always recommended especially in mosquito prone states.
OTC painkillers that work for you.
Consider carrying one or two quick lighting fuel pellets. There is nothing worse than being caught in the torrential rain with all the wood soaked and you are cold, miserable and trying to start a fire the old fashioned way. Quick lighting and save your life.

I.O. Inc AK owner here, I fucked up, I know. Help me identify whether or not I got a total piece of shit, I'm a new AK owner so I don't know what to look for here. It has performed well and has given me no jams after 300 rounds.
>>28022630
Show us the gas-port on your barrel if you can. I.O. Inc. is notorious for drilling them too large, which leads to over-gassing.
>>28022630
check the rivets and their consistency. check to see if the barrell is bent
The whole thing is a fuck up. Made with cast Korean parts mixed with other European parts, rivets are probably fucked up as well as headspace, they use the barrel as a bucking bar, improper heat treating, the list goes on.
Glock will grow larger.
The New Zealand military will replace their SIG 226s with Glocks.
http://www.radionz.co.nz/news/bites/290828/nz-defence-force-to-buy-new-generation-glock-pistols
>>28022390
Wow, Glock just sold 15 more pistols to some ozzies, I'm sure they are thrilled
>Replacing AuSteyr with AR
>Replacing DPM with embarrassing ACU knockoff
>Replacing Sigs with Glocks
>Still no literally air force
>Still woefully undersized navy
Nice priorities there, pham.
>>28022408
Where can I buy these?
>>28022353
Pet store or a specific breeder
Check your local animal shelter
>>28022353
They are $79.99
Try here anon: https://www.rayallen.com/product/Rex-Specs-K9-Eyewear/Canine-Protection
also pic related.
Arg what a waste they will confiscate them and I hope they don't turn into cannon fodder for a liberal gun control agenda for La.
>>28022338
Where did he get the receivers for the part kits. How can you make a full-auto tube for either of those guns?
>>28022338
Source?
>that birdcage on a Ruger
We starwars now.
ok /k/ra/k/ers,
talk me out of buying this
>>28021832
What's the price tag?
>>28021842
haven't even started looking at prices yet. I'm expecting to pay 2500-3000
>>28021992
You'd better be expecting to pay a lot more than that, kiddo. It's not the Counterstrike buy menu out here IRL.
Can I get and opinion from /k about the CF-105 Arrow. A lot of Cucanadians think that this would have been an awesome plane. However Ig et the impression it would have been at best an above average interceptor.
Remember, that other nations were coming out with planes in the next few years after the Arrow program cancellation such as the. Mirage, F-4 and F-8 fighters.
>>28021792
Mostly Canadians are butthurt about it because it was basically the end of the Canadian aeronautic industry.
>>28021874
This. Imagine the F-35 but actually functioning, xboxhueg price tag and questionable application included.
>>28021874
Because amerifats didn't like that canada had a faster plane than them.
This came with a Mosin Nagant parts set with a cleaning kit, oil bottle, and ammo pouches that I bought online. I have no idea what it is, I know it isn't a Mosin Nagant part. What is it, /k/?
>>28021596
Middle part looks like a 12ga/20ga choke tool
It's an auto sear for a Mosin Nagant
R8 my purchase /k/
>>28021452
>inb4 glock/1911/hk/S&W fags show up
>>28021452
Preddy good.
>>28021452
looks great. Be sure to make at least one blog thread a day after you take it to the range to tell us all about your buyers remorse.
Best first 1911?
I'm looking to own a 1911 as a range toy, nothing more. What's the top models to get that are under $1000?
Pic related?
>>28021437
If it's under 1K, get the loaded model from Springfield.
Colt obviously
I think I paid $699 for my Ruger SR1911.
Great gun for what the value.
Look /k/,
i normally don´t browse this board, but i am very interested in weapons lately. And i´m sorry i have to ask this.
I bet these kind of threads are annoying as fuck to you and get posted everytime, but i always come here and look at the catalouge and i don´t find them.
My question is what is the best assault rifle? When i look for lists on the internet i always see shit like ak47 or m16. Which makes absolulutly no sense. I mean sure it´s important historically, but it´s obviosuly not the best in terms of performance.
I just want to know, if you were a crazy motherfucker and went to fight isis with your bros right now. What rifle would you take?
>>28021391
assault rifles are almost impossible to get, retard
>>28021407
It's a hypothetical question you turburglar.
And OP, I'd take something I could get ammo for in the sandbox, most likely an AMD65
>>28021439
thanks, but i mean if you had all the ammo you need?
