What do you use to remove pork chop, /k/?
Do you smoke the meat, turn it into sausages, or leave it for the scavengers?
Any specific baits/techniques?
Nugget w/ bayonet fixed.
leave it for the scavangers

>What do you use to remove pork chop, /k/?
Its pretty hard to go wrong. Most all intermediate rifle cartridges do the trick, and anything bigger than that of course is plenty adequate.
>Do you smoke the meat, turn it into sausages, or leave it for the scavengers?
I couldn't possibly haul back every hog I kill during a shoot, most people couldn't either. They may not stand tall, but the bastards are made of lots of dense muscle. Its heavy and takes up a lot of space. For the sake of pest eradication a huge portion of kills are left where they drop unless they're in a farmer's field and need to be hauled out of it.
Though if you want really good pig meat take the chops to a butcher and have them turn em into cube steak, complete with all the trimmed fat. Season with some Lawry's and fry in a pan. Its out of this world.
>Any specific baits/techniques?
I think every hunter who has been at it long enough has his own "special bait" or has heard of one from someone else. As far as I can tell pigs just like things that smell. The creatures will eat just about anything so they clearly aren't picky. Put something new in their environment with a strong smell and they'll come check it out.
How does /k/ feel about women in the military?
>>28024335
HNNNNNNNNG
Most of enlisted I meet were worthless. In it for 3-6 years. So they could get college money and find something to marry.
Most of the officers were ROTC/OCS babies that had a degree, debt, and no clue what to do next. So they'll put up with sitting at a desk in the military for 6-20 years. Equally as worthless as the enlisted or downright dangerous if in command.
The few female warrants I meet were alright. They actually wanted to be there and could do their job and soldiering too.

id rather have some dumb woman die than a actual good male soldier

its not inadequate, its just retardedly expensive.

Between the U.S. military's standard issue service knives, which one makes a better thrusting weapon?
The 7 inch long, 4.19mm thick Ka-Bar
Os the 7 inch long, 6mm thick Ontario M9?
>>28024069
Honestly, no appreciable difference.
>>28024076
Dead is dead, eh?
Ka-Bar doesn't have serrations and is slightly smaller, so I would assume it would be better.
Since there isn't one already, and I would like some opinions on something.
My CFSC is tomorrow. Should I expect a challenge, or a walk in the park?
>>28023967
So has Trudeau fucked us over yet or does that come after he brings in a shitton of "refugee's"
>>28024344
Yeah he knows it will be easier after he's done with that mess. And as soon as one of said refugees does something involving a gun in Ottawa, that'll be it.
>>28023967
I just took the CFSC today.
Walk in the park.
The questions on the test are extremely straightforward, although you do need to pay attention because there are a few that are relatively obscure.
The practical portion of the test was basically don't do anything overtly dangerous, know how to identify the difference between rimfire, centrefire, shot and slug ammo, know how to match ammo to guns, and know how to run through ACTS and PROVE.

Why does the Omega version of the 75B sell for so much less?
Well i posted a while back about fingerprint mags for sidearms but i came accross this and it really got me wondering if its practical

>>28023786
So it's a 10x more expensive version of pic related that mounts to LOLRAIL permanently.
I wouldn't buy it, but it doesn't look AWFUL.
Hopefully it defaults to fail-deadly and opens when it loses battery power. I'd also prefer RFID on a cellphone, keychain, or ring instead of a stupid fucking finger reader that's unreliable enough at the best of times.

if the battery dies, it stays locked until you open it up and put in a new battery.
They could at least build a light and a laser into it.

So how much ammo do you homos have?
I purchased 1,000 rounds yesterday $50 at dicks.
I'm just realizing how many photos of this gun I actually have.
The m16 you see towards the bottom is the Umarex .22 Clone.
When it works, it works pretty damn good.
Bumping with an image I stole from someone.

Have skirmishes been fault during hurricanes or tornado heavy weather?
Can shitty weather be used for a tactical advantage? Are there any examples in history that don't involved snow/dust storms?
>>28023518
>Are there any examples in history that don't involved snow/dust storms?
Battle of Fornovo fought in 1495 had some pretty bad rains which soaked the French and Italian cannons gunpowder making them all but useless. Also the Italians, who arrived several days before the French to the battlefield, thought up a brilliant plan of starting on one side of the river, fording in four places, and attacking the French on the other side. It didn't work that well.
The typhoons of 1274 and 1281 which prevented the Mongolians fleet from invading Japan, giving rise to the term kamikaze or divine wind, is another example.
look into gang violence during katrina
Using the seasonal winds to burn your enemy out was pretty common in Asian warfare. I doubt setting forests on fire level of collateral damage is acceptable in the modern warfare.
Mongols one time wait until a monsoon in India to wage a siege. The rain comes and the river swell. They re-routed a river to flood a citadel.
Looking at getting my first ever gun tomorrow. Will most likely be going with a revolver, specifically the Ruger GP 100 6". Curious what /k/ thinks of my choice.

>What are the factory sights on a SLR104UR set for?
I know a "Military" AKS74u has the sights calibrated for a 300m Zero and 4-500m Zero. However I was out shooting mine today for the first time since I SBRd it and I had to shoot around 18-28 inches high to hit my target at 100m. This is the exact opposite of what I was expecting, which is I would have to aim low. I wasnt sure if it was calibrated for the standard 16inch barrel on the SLR104ur or if it is calibrated for the correct for 8 inches.
>>28023264
How did it shoot before?
I couldn't tell you velocity difference for 5.45 off the top of my head, and can't be assed to google it ATM, but there's no way it's going to be dropping 30" (I am assuming you mean you're holding over 28-30" right?)
Did someone perhaps somehow fuck up the FSB of something? Not that that should happen considering the work to SBR requires cutting the barrel, not moving the gas block/fsb
Can you get a taller post?
>>28023318
I literally only shot it maybe 15 times before the SBR because it was so ungodly overgassed. And yes, I was holding over by at least 18 inches, which if anything I would think I would have had to shoot low 18 inches.
>>28023264
Mine is pretty close to right on at 100
