Do you guys shoot outside of designated gun ranges?
145 posts and 30 images submitted.
>>
Sometimes. In Oregon BLM land and state forests are open to shooting with a few provisions.
>>
I used to with my friend. But now it's ranges only.

To me going out onto a piece of land and just shooting how you like, mindful of safety of course, will always be how shooting is supposed to be done.

I am going to buy my first pistol soon, I will only be able to use it at the range or eventually at home, I won't be able to carry it since it is impossible to obtain a permit for it ( living in Belgium ).

I have selected these 5 guns because the price is reasonable, I guess ( I am no ready to pay for a 2k€ Sig P226 desu ).

It would be nice to have your opinions if you had the possibility to shoot with them or even if you have suggestions for other guns.

I've shot most of these and like the cz p-07 and 09 the most. I just find them better feeling.

I know that feel bro. Lurking..
I'm a European refugee immigrated to Glorious United States of America. The first year here I got my conceal carry permit and don't go anywhere without my carry gun. I wanted to serve too but they wouldn't take me because of past lung problems.. I love this country I wish i could vote though. Still waiting to get my citizenship this year then I'll maybe get it in time to vote against democrats.

Powered by an active Air force and missile systems, Pakistan military is always ready to tackle internal and external offenses. It is mostly relying on producing own crafts, tanks and missiles rather than relying on foreign powers. Nuclear capability makes the might more stronger and wets the Indian pants.
We have the most hard core army in the world.

Our soldiers fearless of death are known throughout the world of being the most brave. They can bear the heat of the sun to such an extent that no other army soldier can match. Pakistan army always donating thousands of troops to United nations and to fight terrorism.

Pakistan army is best because they do not fight for land they fight for Islam and for peace and there is nothing about who had best army its who have believe in peace
A peaceful, beautiful place to live. Its military has a lot of patriotism. A strong intention to work and protect there motherland. The military is very caring and helping.

With the size of country and armed forces, it has thwarted attacks by a much bigger country India and has also been able to break the strength of Soviet Union. Additionally, being constantly under the American radar and aggression from India, Pakistan has been able to deter attacks from them through proxy wars and its conventional armed forces.

Questions That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread.

Looking to get something to get me away from my AR fatigue, should I pull the trigger on a Wasr-10 or a 308 battle rifle while I have the cash?

>>
>>29477448
308 battle rifle fulfills a distinctly different role, probably the better choice overall.

Steel vs Polymer mags /k/

Why is polymer so popular now ? Is the plastic so fantastic now ? Are there any upsides to polymer mags besides weight ?

Enlighten me /k/

It's Cheap and Available.
>>
>>29477439
I found unissued surplus Colt steel mags for 11 bucks, would you say it's price competitive with similar quality polymer ones ?
>>
>>29477469

pmags are a great and plentiful standard. There are some very dubious aluminum mags on the market so people stay away from most of them. I have some steel HK AR mags that are quite literally almost twice the weight of a loaded pmag.

Other than weight, I like the plastic because it rattles less, doesn't make annoying noises when they scrape up against each other, and generally are more fun to toss around.

i am about to get my first shotty. Right now I am leaning towards a new maverick 88 or a used Winchester defender for $212. I really like the full tube and wood furniture on the defender but i want to know if that is a decent price? Looks like one in pick.

>>
>>29477212
any good condition pump going for < 300 bucks is worth it. I dig the look of that Winchester too, definitely worth grabbing, especially if the Maveric's just the pistol-gripped one.

You're a fucking moron if you don't get the defender.
and if you don't take good care of it, I'll find you and say mean things to you.

Has anyone here ever built themselves a 1911? I've fallen in love with the idea of building my own but looking for more input before I commit to it. I understand that fitting the parts to eachother is what it's all about. Any advice on the matter is appreciated.
11 posts and 2 images submitted.
>>
Parts can be loosely fit and the gun will still work, and it will actually be more reliable from the loose fit.

How many thousands of parts interchangeable 1911s were made to mil spec? I can't recall.

The fit was so loose the slide rattle was worse than most people within this generation will never know.

Do you think this is something an amateur with time and patience could handle?
>>
>>29477128
Maybe, if you go out and buy a gunsmiths file set, an anchored bench clamp and other gunsmithing tools. I looked into it once and the cost of the tools plus the parts to build made it cost as much as a les baer
