My friend saw my M39 and said, "man that looks like a nugget had sex with a mauser and made a baby." What other weapons could be described in such a manner? IE: "That looks like a ___ had sex with a ___ and had a baby"
Pic related, it's my m39.
>>29472041
There's some gun that looks like a hybrid of a bolt action and a lever action. I can't remember what it's called.

It's another lonely night of Shitposting.

For those that don't know, Insight on SBS will be covering guns as the topic. Expect a shitshow with old eyebrows himself, David Shoebridge and some Port Arthur victims on the panel. Airs 8:30pm on Tuesday.
If any lurking no-guns need help understanding how to get a license, ask away and we'll help anyway we can.

Nobody gives a shit about fucking SBS cunt
I feel for our Aussie friends. If there is one country on Earth where firearms & weapons ownership and training should be paramount it is Australia. It's like every living thing on the continent lives by the motto: "Fuck off; we're full."
Oh and something that any faggots from WA should be made aware of if you're not already. Licensing is changing over to a new system coming into affect on the 29th of April, the switchover starts on the 18th and no licenses will be processed until the 29th. Get your additional applications in as soon as possible, I myself will be putting in a application for a 28" Synthetic Adler tommorrow.
If the Mosin Nagant was a girl what would she look like?

Or Trump's ex wife.
Like a stereotypical Russian babushka.

This again? Give it a rest, bub.
If all guns, including fully automatic were made legal, what would happen to guns like the AR 15 or modified AK?
They'd still be popular. Feeding and maintaining a full auto is a bitch on your wallet.
>>29471827
They would be modified to have full auto capabilities with terrifying speed.
man what is the point of a lower reciever that can only take one caliber? that's like the anti-caveat of ARs.
>>29471855
funny since you could get an echo trigger which is fast as is. anything more and you're replacing barrels.
Why don't we bring the M113s back into service?
They're literally perfect for multiple roles and are loads cheaper than any Striker variant. Not to mention that they are tracked and won't have as much issue with rough terrain.
>>29471741
because theyre 50 year old matinence nightmares that get raped by ww2 era shaped charge weapons
>>29471741
>>29471741
Tracks are good, but their maintenance is insane. Literally fucking insane.
Wheels were chosen for a reason for the Stryker. Also, road travel is way better with wheels.
the ar-15 is just a 22
The k98 is just a .32
the 1911 is just an 800fps
Obvious bait I'll explain for newfags. The AR-15 fires a .223. This means the bullet is for all intents and purposes a .22 size projectile.
OP is saying that because it is the size of .22 that it will only do the damage of a .22lr or similar small game round.
He's purposely ignoring the length of the case/amount of powder in the .223's load that cause such a spike in velocity compared to .22lr even though the bullet fired are practically identical it's just one is going much faster which it terms meets a threshold allowing the .223 to catastrophically, in most cases, fragment causing massive internal trauma to the target.
I hope you learned something.
Does anyone here carry a 1911? How does it stack up against other CC pistols? Since I'm a tall guy, I figure a shoulder holster should make it disappear, and I love the way they feel in my hand.
It's heavy as shit, but it's carries very slim. As long as you have a good holster, you're fine. If you carry IWB, make sure it's got two clips, as wide as you can get them.
>>29471450
I don't think IWB would be a great idea for me. I do a lot of sitting, which is why I use a Tok in a shoulder holster right now.
Fuck AR manufacturers, they all try way too fucking hard to be the ultimate COD/Tactical/Mall-ninja rifle. All but a few fail at being "the very best." They all pretty much ignore the innate weight and balance advantages of the AR-15 platform. There's basically no off-the-shelf AR's in older patterns. Despite there being 200+ companies, your choices are limited to low end M4 clones, or AR's with 50 rails, and absolutely no attention paid to balance or handling.
This is why I'm into AKs, at least there's some fucking variety. Ak's you can readily get a rifle that approximates every common pattern, AK-47/Milled, AKM, AK-74, Yugo, AK-100, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I love my BCM/DD AR-15's, but it'd be nice to have some options. All I want is a fucking simple handy AR-15 with some god-damned iron's, yet the market is fucking barren.
>waghh waghh waghh bitch piss moan waghh im stuck in the 80's waghhh fucking mall niggers waghhh muh carry handles

Anyone been through MEPS recently enough to remember it?
How closely do they look at your whole body? Doesn't the doc do a whole group of people at once for the duckwalk/balancing/junk, then only inspect individuals when it comes to private parts?
They look inside your asshole. And the group thing is only 5 at a time so they have plenty of time to watch everyone

I bought a box of Remington contract 54r from 1917 today. Anyone know how rare this stuff is? Never seen it, bought it because I thought it was cool and it fits my 1918 Remington M91 well.

Hype Generation Edition
I'm putting a thread up early to start attracting attention towards what might be the dankest meetup of the year. (totally objective opinion)
While discussing locations for the summer Cali meet with brzfag on Slack, I discovered that we might totally be able to take over an old ghost town for a weekend and go shooting nearby. This idea made my dick diamonds instantly. The town was abandoned in the 50s and consists of a 3-story hotel building that remains in great shape and several smaller cabins and buildings in various stages of disrepair, in addition to tons of old mining structures and equipment, and is known for 2spooky happenings and awesome hiking and offroad driving.
>What's the catch?
I have no idea whether it can happen or not, but it looks like the stars might just align in time for a meetup in June.
There are usually visitors, but not in the national park sense, the place is very loosely regulated but campers and the like stop by on the weekends.
A scouting meetup is planned for the 29th of April (Date may change) for the day to locate good shooting spots within 1/2 mile of the town and how many of the structures are suitable for stalker'ing.
>Where the fuck is this?
The middle of fucking nowhere in Norcal. Draw a triangle between Redding, Sac, and Reno and it falls in Plumas county. There's literally no major towns that I can point out nearby. I'll post a long-ass map link somewhere in this thread so folks can start planning carpool.
>So what's the plan?
The scouting meet on the 29th will find out if the site is suitable, and report back with pictures and maps, I will call up the local ranger rick and make sure everything we'll be doing is on the level, and then the final date, schedule, and information gets released along with what needs to get brought.
>How do I get involved?
We have a Slack channel that you can join by posting a burner email in this thread, and myself or someone else with admin auths will add you in.

Recent Acquisitons.
Picked up this Over Under at a local gun show today for about 150 with a bit of ammo. Pretty happy with it but it's a little stiff. Any way to loosen up the (what I assume) hinge?
To head off the inevitable other questions, what barrel length?

Doesn't look under 16.5 inches from the pictures. Good question, though... OP may have stumbled upon a wild ATF sting, although if he did I'm sure his ass would have already been grass.
