I was watching Trumps foreign policy speech, he said we need to be more secretive and unpredictable with our military since we have news conferences outling our every move. I thought this was a very simple and good idea not many people have brought up.
Thoughts?
>>29772394
our military did have a great deal of secrecy before Obama, then the nigger started to appologise for every fart the USA made but sadly like most shit trump says he has no idea what he is talking about and is simply spouting a bunch of crap he probably read on /pol/ which is probably why they like his dumbass so much. of course the real sad part is that trump is actually the best candidate in the race
>>29772394
I think you should fuck off to /pol/.

Anyone know of a place to get an fal kit? Preferably Rhodesian.
>>29772385
FAL files marketplace
>>29772385
Rhodesian FAL kits are pretty much dried up, you can still get random furniture, but the kits are gone. Just start browsing Gunbroker and hope you get lucky.
>>29772385
Not to be a NEED fag but what on earth are you going to do with 12 stens?
I leave for BMT in a week and a half. Can anyone give me some advice? I'm 24 and just graduated college. I joined cause I always wanted to join the air force and just felt like I need a change pace.
I just want some advice.
Another question is
My job will be Client Systems and I've heard that I get leave after I finish tech school but I want to know if I will go to tech school right after basic or wait around?
Why would you go enlisted if you've graduated college? Literally no reason to not commission instead.
>>29772314
This guy gets it. See about commissioning as soon as possible.
I double majored in chemistry and microbiology
My GPA isn't good enough I got a 2.6 and even at meps they told me I needed a 3.0
Does /k/ think this is a good deal?

Five full bandoleers of 30-06 made by the U.S.C.Co in 1918
I got a mosin two days ago, she's awesome. 1938 and shoots like a dream.
How would you rate the United States' military effectiveness during the 1920s?
>>29772265
They were still in the process of demobilizing from the first world war, and the economy was still flush with money, so the military was probably in pretty good shape.
It existed, so pretty effective.
what game is that OP?
I found this gem in my dads old shed but I can't tell what the nationality of the helmet is.
Any one care to lend hand?
what text is that on that blue bag?
>>29772274
It's Welsh
>>29772226
Looks like M1956 from that angle
Would IRL man-portable laser weapons development benefit from someone discovering a means to reduce the blinding capacity of a laser while retaining it's heat generation over the same distance?
My understanding is while we have the means, anti-personnel lasers are not practical because of the chance you will burn everybody's eyes out.
how about you put that in english for the rest of us, professor?

Do you excited for Russian Victory Day parade /k/?
>>29772128
I bet they're gonna parade straight into Kiev.

New /k/ fag here.
I just recently turned 21 and was looking into getting my Concealed Handgun License in Texas. Are there any handguns you would recommend or stay away from?
Pic related is a .22 Target Pistol I got from my grandfather.
>>29772076
It's... It's hideous. I'd recommend choosing an Obrez.
Unless you have a large frame stay away from fullsize and get a dedicated carry pistol to avoid printing.
>>29772143
Don't worry this wouldn't be my CH, it's just a fun gun to shoot. And an Obrez? I'll look into it.
Do snipers take the coriolis effect into consideration?
>>29771913
Depends on the range.
>>29771913
No. There are long-distance competitive shooters who say they only judge wind at 75 yards and go with that. Forget the coriolis effect.
wind variations over the range required for it to matter make a bigger difference than you can adjust for

Any tips from vets?
>>29771911
offer to suck the DI's dick
>>29771911
when you get to marksmanship phase, tell your DS you dont need any training, as you're an firearms expert already
>>29771911
Volunteer for everything and go out of your way to show the DI/DS/whatever that you're the best damn recruit there.
Alright fellas, I'm looking for input from the optics aficionados here. I've been on the lookout for a 3-9x with non-capped turrets. I'd feel comfortable spending between $300-$500 bucks. Any recommendations?
I'm only looking for variable's between the 2x-10x range, since I've been told that the higher you go with variable magnification, the worse/fragile/lower quality it might be, since a $300 scope that goes up to 14x might not be the nicest thing to put on a .308 slinger. Looking for input on this as well.
I've been looking around, checking what reviews I can find, but so far i've only found a few Nikons, a Vortex I think, and some Blackhawk scope.
Vortex PST 2.5-10x44 for about 600 is your best bet despite being slightly beyond your price range.
>>29771908
forgot to mention
Give Sightron scopes a look. They are sort of the "Vortex before Vortex was Vortex" as in, """""""American"""""" company that rebrands asian glass, but has good QC contracts, good features, and excellent warranty. It even used to be a cross counter warranty, not sure if it still is. One of my coworkers has one that he loves, and this is the kind of guy who buys Trijicon, Aimpoint, swaro, etc. along with everything from HK MR556 to Tikkas and Savage, usually gives pretty objective opinions imo
Loves his sightron
>>29771908
Yikes damn, yeah even 500 is pushing it for me, since I am also picking up a stock and sending my rifle in for some work. Thanks for the rec though.
>>29771981
Ill check em out for sure. Thanks.
What does /k/ think of the Progressive Knife?
>>29771686
I'd prefer a conservative one.

>Not having a libertarian knife
If we have a ground invasion against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, what kind of equipment would be used? Will it be the same shit that we use now, or is there new weapons that are yet to be announced? When will the next rifle come out for military?
>>29771344
If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Tfw the kebabs on shows like Homeland are super smart and organized and real life is fucking Abu Hajaar
>>29771364
>>29771383
Alright, I know this isn't k related, but realistically, how long would it take to wipe ISIS out? I mean, obviously that video shows that they aren't a effective conventional fighting force, would they do any better as insurgents though?
Hey /k/, I am planning to do a AR-15 in slav script and was wondering if anyone knows how to type "SAFE" "SEMI" AND "AUTO" in cyrillic.
Use жиpный for safe and пидopac for fire. Why bother with auto if it's not select fire anyway.
>>29771327
Yeah I second that.
>>29771327
Thanks
