In the future radar and signal processing will improve to the extent that electronic warfare will be the (best/only) defence. 'Stealth' as we know it today will be short lived.
Fighter aircraft may stop being:
1. Small manoeuvrable aircraft
2. Manned
We will probably see aircraft the size of an F111 or maybe B1, full with radar, offensive / defensive ECM and computing power. They will launch manoeuvrable weapons or even drones to do the fighting for them.
Autonomous drones will take over much of the work from modern fighter aircraft and aerial attrition battles based on production / cost effectiveness will come to the fore.
Is this a fair assessment?

in the future the op will always be a faggot

Funny and original

Is it just me or should i have expected more from ISIS.
Whats your take guys?
Pic unrelated.
>>29761493
Always wondered what caused that explosion.
Salted rounds?
>>29761524
Gun thought it was an AR-15
What do you expect? They're burning through recruits at a rate of hundreds a month.
I like katanas. They're pretty sweet. A history of men using them more than just to kill, they harbored a warrior's soul within, the ability to use one could determine your social status within the entire world, and to tarnish your weapon was to insult yourself.
Claymores are up there. Long, hard, unwieldy, only the strongest of men were able to properly bring out the full potential of one.
The AR-15 is the modern sword. warrior class blah blah defending honor blah blah
>>29761308
The Gladius was the most effective sword in the world. Stupid simple and versatile enough for any situation a normal man would encounter.
>>29761371
It was nice, but looks too much like a dagger.
Scimitars on the other hand, now there's a cool ass looking sword.
What's a good innawoods gun for solo camping trips? I have a few paramaters I'm looking for...
>powerful enough to bring down a moose, black bear, and other large, potentially dangerous animals.
>compact and lightweight
>cheap, no more than $500
>readily available ammunition, if it's a rifle then soft point ammo should be available at average outdoor/gun stores
>preferably can be used to bag small game with a change of ammo, but if I have to I could make do with a slingshot for small critters
>non-restricted status in Canada

Where in NY are you located? because clearly its near Water Safari
>just had an auction for a Sig P229 end on gunbroker
>the guy who won is from new jersery
is there any weird laws I should be aware of? I am not trying to send this thing there only to be fucked by some strange ATF sting.
>>29761158
>is there any weird laws I should be aware of?
Not selling your guns to cucks especially when they live in cuckstates.
Tell him in an email to get fucked and give it to the second runner up.
>>29761158
You ship it to an FFL, beyond that there is nothing you have to worry about. Christ, this is why the liberals always win. They trick free people into thinking that they're doing something wrong so much so that you are afraid to mail a hunk of metal to a licensed metal hunk dealer. Your transaction is with the FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSE holder, if you didn't know.
>>29761158
M8 just consider NJ, NY, CA, and IL a lost cause.
Their gunlaws are too confusing, opressive, and set up to fuck you that you shouldn't even bother.
I have a problem with the bayonet on my mosin. It won't fit on the end and I don't have a dremel. So I was wondering If I could use WD-40?
>>29761088
HOLY SHIT
Are you people retarded? You'll respond to my autistic shitpostings instantaneously but when I ask a decent question everybody suddenly becomes a crippled retard. And fuck this "no files over 14gb" rule, and these shitty soundless webms, does this site perpetually live in 2012?
>>29761185
You fucked yourswlf by posting an image thats more important than your question dumbass. You should have posted a picture of the WD-40 or a bayonet.
Seeking to buy a pack that can accommodate a 5 day camping/hike and then be stored as a B.O.B.
Been browsing through forums and websites,
Any particular favorites /k/ can recommend?
Currently looking at military surplus ALICE, MOLLE, and then a few on amazon.
My budget is $125 and I need a bag that can take a beating and not shit the bed in hard conditions.
REI packs? Some have been recommended but most I've seen look wussy and overpriced.
Ive been using a Molle II rifleman pack with the Sustainment pouches, waist pack and sleep system carrier. I paid $90 for it. It's held up through years of good hard use. You can't go wrong at that price

A little more expensive now but worth it
Former nogunz poorfag here, inherited my grandfather's hunting rifles/shotguns a few months ago and had some shitty luck with one of them. Apparently Remington's 597 .17HMR has been factory recalled for the past 7 years, but I guess my grandpa never found out and just kept it for pest control. Last week I figured I'd give the .17 a chance and shot it with my friends, and the magazine ended up exploding near my friend's sister's face and shot powder 5 or so yards out the chamber. Nobody was injured, but I have no desire to fire this piece of shit again or buy a new mag to replace the dead one.
Looks like I've got a few options with the gun; return it to Remington and receive a $200 voucher that can only be used to buy another Remington gun (grandfather paid $350 for it new), send it in to be re-barreled in .22lr (I've already got a 10/22 that works just fine), or keep it in anticipation of it becoming some sort of collector's item in the future.
Any ideas /k/?
THIS IS AN SPQR THREAD

stumpie pls go
>>29761051
Why are there so few good movies about aviation compared to ground and naval warfare /k/?
>>29760971
Because aircraft are really expensive to fly. And for any movie to be a movie about aviation rather than a movie that has planes in it, you'd need a lot of flight time, and/or a shitload of CGI. As a result, you'd have to be attached to a pretty big name. And big names are generally more interested in what's going to sell well, rather than producing something that would be widely considered a "good" movie.
>>29761908
There's also the unfortunate fact that most moviegoers these days don't give half a shit about pilots and aviation in general, compared to le sneaky secret squirrel operators or yet another WW2 movie.
>>29761936
Eh, fuck the pilots. I just want to see a movie that's 70% intense fighter combat, 20% plot/exposition and 10% tits.
I want an Ace Combat movie is what I'm basically saying.
So, looking at the MDR, X95, AUG, and various HK abominations- is polymer really here to stay?
What are the benefits over aluminum or steel?
>>29760929
Weight reduction bro
>>29760929
>lighter
>costs less
>>29761062
Ah, just like how all the guns in OP are extremely affordable right? Basically any 'modern' poly gun costs an absolute ass load of money.
Or is this because the market is oversaturated with 'older' designs made out of steel and aluminum?
Tbh the Aug and Tavor are both reasonably heavy to boot.
What nations do you sell to? What weapons do you sell? Do you operate within the boundaries of the law, or outside them?
Yes
>>29760919
All of them.
I'm a business not a fucking charity.
>>29760919
>What nations do you sell to?
ISIS, Saudi Arabia and Turkey :)
Are 100 year old krags safe to shoot regularly?
>>29760916
As long as you're not using hot ammo. The thing only has one locking lug.
Just don't use higher pressure ammo and you should be fine.
I don't own a Krag, but my dad shoots his all the time.
>>29760932
>>29760938
How can I tell if the ammo is safe to shoot?
is this the correct way to hold a gun?
Yeah
It's pointed in a safe direction, he has full control of the gun and it's muzzle, his finger isn't on the trigger.
>>29760703
yeah I guess. It looks comfortable when he lays it like that ontop of his stomach carrier
>>29760768
thats hot
How are tanks supposed to survive in a world where Infantry AT weapons nearly out-range them?
>>29760531
They can't. Airplanes have to kill everything on the ground before tanks can enter a zone.
>>29760531
i am more concerned how /k/ going to survive this amount of bait every day
>>29760531
the little tank on the right got scared and blew its load early
/k/ how do I get an RK 95?
>>29760272

You don't. You live the rest of your life touting it as the best ak variant in the whole entire world without ever shooting let alone holding one because it was in your favorite Chinese cartoon.

Go to Finland and steal one.
