How many of you are in the NRA ?
Fudds who think their full auto collections are god given retirement accounts. I don't trust them. Also their commercials are cringe.
Cody Wilson and the DefCad community have done more for gun rights than the NRA has in my lifetime.

I seen on a hunting magazine they sell wine and collecting cigars. i then understood why they're called ATF.
Lifetime Member. The magazine is okay, but I really only got it for the insurance and discounts. Bretty decent.
I don't buy a lot of their idea of the past, but recently they've really been pushing the "no more gun laws" period thing, which at least seems to be holding the line. The trouble is getting them to want to go further.
http://fortune.com/2016/04/28/f-35-fails-testing-air-force/
>During a mock deployment at Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho, just one of the $100 million Lockheed Martin LMT -0.15% F-35s was able to boot its software successfully and get itself airborne during an exercise designed to test the readiness of the F-35, FlightGlobal reports. Nonetheless, the Air Force plans to declare its F-35s combat-ready later this year.
>“The Air Force attempted two alert launch procedures during the Mountain Home deployment, where multiple F-35A aircraft were preflighted and prepared for a rapid launch, but only one of the six aircraft was able to complete the alert launch sequence and successfully takeoff,” Gilmore wrote. “Problems during startup that required system or aircraft shutdowns and restarts – a symptom of immature systems and software–prevented the other alert launches from being completed.”
>It’s not the only recent example of “immature systems and software” stalling progress on the $400 billion F-35 program. Aside from reports of glitches affecting both the onboard and ground-based software that drive the F-35—including bugs in the F-35’s radar software that requires periodic in-air radar reboots and maintenance software problems that could potentially ground the entire fleet—Gilmore detailed another recent example in which F-35s had to abort their test mission due to software stability issues.

Hi Solomon, you are curiously selective with which articles you mention.

What does /k/ think about these VFG/lights? I may want one on my HD gun.
Nice meme. Fuck off.
>tacticool
>>29785016
I'm being serious. I don't know if I want to drill for another set of rails for a light, or simply use one of these, since I want a rail anyway.
>>29785048
Normally I'd agree.
Found a KelTec Sub 2000 Gen 2 in 9mm. Comes with a magpul 17 rounder for 429.00
Good deal? I really want one.
Pic clearly unrelated because I have too.
>>29784787
If it is new, then yes. If used, offer them a flat $400. I liked the sub2000 (mine was in .40 SW) but when somebody offered me $300 more than i paid for it, i couldn't say no.
Almost bought one with a 33round glock mag for 300
>>29784813
Its new, at the local Academy Sports. They've got two in stock.
Are there any weapon mods that actually improve the amount of damage dealt by a rifle? Like some sort of accelerator component on the end of the barrel that improves barrel velocity, or something that adds additional mass to the round to increase impact energy?
>>29784672
cut the barrel off it reduces the drag on the bullet because there is less metal to scrape against so it goes faster
Yeah, but you need to buy a season pass to unlock the DLC, so none of the cheapskates still playing vanilla Geneva Convention do it.
>>29784672
You're going to get called a retarted cod kiddie for this post, and rightfully so, but I'll humor you
>cartridge size (allows for more propellant)
>barrel length (more room for the pressure to speed up the projectile)
>type of projectile (ap, hp, incendiary, ect)
What happened to /k/?

I fugged yer mum kekekekek XD

What happened to the vodnik?
I've only ever seen the tigr used by the russians recently, the vodnik seems absent in the armed forces.
No idea man, but I wanna know.
>>29784466
It is irritating, I've read wikipedia and watched a few vidoes and it seems like a really interesting little fellow. It would fit excentlly into what they're doing with the armata. There must be a good reason behind it not being at the forefront of their parades and all.
>>29784487
From what I've read, apparently it was more expensive and less versatile. While the former makes senser, the latter doesn't. The intention of the vehicle was to adapt to situations needed.
rails for scope.
Also rails for laser sights and a grip.
stop

[Insert vague complaint regarding the hebrews]
What went wrong, /k/?
>>29784117
They spent their time on wunderwaffe instead of small arms and mass producing tanks like the PzIV.
poor leadership
they spent too much time killing the j00s in germany and not enough time killing the j00s in america
What can /k/ tell me about the English Electric Lightning? Was it based, or shit?
>>29784074
It was a good point defense interceptor.
But PD interceptors were quickly obsolete.
I give her a 7/10, would be fast as balls with again.
>>29784272
Is it true that it probably had the best climb rate of any jet?
>>29784379
The only NATO jet that ever managed to intercept Concorde.
Hey /k/ I just picked up this old shotgun from a local shop for $125. I probably overpaid but I was looking for a project gun to have some fun with and try to fix up. I read online that this thing is probably from around the turn of the century, its a "Chicago Long Range Wonder". Does anyone know what ammo is safe to shoot out of this thing? I've seen here several times that it isn't safe to shoot modern shotgun ammo out of older shotguns like this one. Also the stock is damaged, someone down the line taped it up to hold it together, I removed the tape and intend to repair it using wood glue and brass pins. More pics coming
Also general recent acquisitions thread.
Here's the damage pre tape removal
>>29784065
Even if it is a little beat up, that gun has some good ol' rustic charm.
>>29784065
>Chicago Long Range Wonder was a trade name used on shotguns made for Sears, Roebuck and Company of Chicago, IL and made by Andrew Fyrberg and Sons in the period 1899-1905.
>These shotgun s had Damascus or Twist Steel barrels which are not considered safe to use with modern ammunition.

It *might* be okay with low base loads. Quiz your local gunsmith.
Hey all, got out of Ranger school around a month ago and figured it would make for a good thread. A lot of advice and stuff that helped me out there I found online beforehand, looking to answer any questions about any type of train up, workouts, mentality, gear, or even just any military questions.
please no debates over different branches, other nonse

How does it feel to be as well trained as an 0311 now?
>>29784031
Why do you even feel its necessary to post this garbage.
What were the other candidates like?
What are you like?
Was it all shitty braggarts or were y'all older people?

I had a grandpa who was a LRRP team leader. He doesnt talk in detail about any of his missions, just tells some of the more general things like how they operated and slept, and what happened when they made contact. He got show during extraction which ended his military career.

Why did the US not invent guided bombs like Fritz-X? If the USN had B-17s dropping guided bombs, the Pacific would've been won before the war even started.
>>29783762
because the Japanese would then realized they they needed guided missiles and we would have lost more bombers in the long run
>>29783762
But they did
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azon
>>29783762
The technology and the drive to develop guided bombs wasn't there before WW2. Plus the US didn't mind bombing the shit out of cities full of women and children to make a point.
Guys, I think Obama has finally come up with a gun law /k/ can support.
http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/30/us/politics/obama-puts-his-weight-behind-smart-gun-technology.html
>Eventually, all federal agents would be mandated to use biometric smart guns in the line of duty to ensure that smart gun manufacturers have a steady customer base from which to develop the technology.
>>29783759
No. It will just come around to the civilian population.
>>29783768
>No. It will just come around to the civilian population.
This, of it works on a federal level then they will make it mandatory for civilians.
>>29783759
>feds leo guns get hacked by david fry tier hackers and overrun by hordes of pissed off militia after being turned into noguns
>obama and the rest of his suicidal antigunner supports are all lunched by an angry mob of both militia progunners and now pissed off and defected LEOs who just got gun controlled.
A bridge too far.
