Why are Henry bigboys so much more expensive than their marlin 1894 counterpart? A Marlin seems to have just as good of quality as the Henry while also having a side loading gate and being over 2 pounds lighter.

Really thinking of buying a .44 or .357 levergat, and some people irl have pointed me towards henry over all else, i'm just finding it hard to justify the big boy price tag.

Any thoughts?

How are Rossis? Any experience with them? I really hate that crossbolt on the newer marlins. Also how to lookout for Remlins?

>some people irl have pointed me towards henry over all else

Those people are idiots. The lack of a loading gate is unacceptable for a levergun chambered for a anything larger than .22 rimfire.

If you only plink for fun at 200yrds or whatever, don't waste the money on it.

If you like to do more advanced/difficult shooting and/or stuff like 3-gun, then I'd highly recommend. I love mine.
>>
>>29758563
No. I am used to the heavy trigger and I am very accurate with said trigger.

You can shoot faster with a lighter trigger tho nigger
>>
>>29758563
are you building a lower from the ground up? or are you just buying a new trigger?

If I bought an F-86 Sabre and put pre NFA .50s back on it, would I be allowed to shoot shit on public land? Like in the middle of the Nevada desert.

What about on my own land?

I know it might sound a stupid question to you experts. But what is the general curriculum of an officer in training?

I mean, of course officers are tied to their specific duties and also to the type of force they work for (radar officer is not operative officer and is not a naval one).

But there must be some shared basis by all people who have to make both tactical and strategic choices.

What do you do in your West Point classes (or the foreign version of it)? Do you do maths? Do you study specific strategy books? Do you take history classes? Or is it more hand-on? Do you have to know by heart how to make a battle plan? How to choose targets? Who teaches you that? Are there habdbooks the layman can read and have access to?

Or is it more a hand-on thing? With your own unit etc.?

I can read English, French, Spanish and Italian.
So all sources are welcome.

In case my question is ill-stated, please ask me so we can narrow it down this topic. Or if I am saying something wrong, please highlight my mistake (or mistaken mindset).

Thanks.

You're right, my 8 years as an Active Duty Army Officer make me the last guy who would be able to answer your question. There are numerous courses which are a mix of field and classroom work that go into officer training

>>
>>29757665
quit bitching. there's only a single thread on F-35 and it's on a diff issue (radar).

anyway, highlights from the GAO report:

>Pilots, maintainers, and administrators at three of the five sites we visited are concerned about ALIS’s ability to deploy and function in forward locations. For example, users are concerned about the large server size and connectivity requirements, and whether the system’s infrastructure can maintain power and withstand a high-temperature environment.

>ALIS users at three of the five sites we visited are concerned that a failure in the system’s current infrastructure could degrade the system and ground the fleet. Currently, ALIS information, including data from all U.S. F-35 sites, flows from the Standard Operating Units (SOU) to a single national Central Point of Entry, and then to the lone Autonomic Logistics Operating Unit (ALOU).26 This data flow process has no back up system for continuity of operations if either of these servers were to fail.

>Maintainers and pilots at three of the five sites we visited were concerned that ALIS does not have much interoperability with legacy aircraft systems... The ability to share information between ALIS and these legacy systems is vital due to the way the services operate.

now k many people say it cant be done to have a 5000fps plus bullet they say barrel wear will be too excessive but what if you don't use steel what if you use something like tungsten or a tungsten alloy sure it will be heavy but still it should work in theory, case capacity is no restriction as we can easily neck down large cartridges and we have really fast burning propplents now so tell me k what is keeping me from having fun

Bought a Kidd barrel for my 10/22
18 inch bead blasted match

Still need a stock, on the fence about the trigger. I might just wait till a sale on primary arms for the trigger.
Because I went a spent twice as much as I wanted to on the barrel, going for a Kidd instead of a green mountain, im not looking to spend a lot on the stock. Are Houge stocks g2g? Amazon poorfag recommendations do not bode confidence

My 10/22's been stock for 3 years. I got a new weaver mount that hopefully won't rattle loose like the no name I had.

I'll stick with the barska scope for now, it's just a fucking .22, not looking to go crazy here.

>>
Wait, you got a match barrel before a better trigger? Are you even benching it? I would assume no, or at least not vise benched since you're using a bx25.

If you're on the fence about a trigger at least get a new hammer or something. The factory trigger of the 10/22 is fucking terrible.

Barska scopes are also terrible. I had one that would constantly lose zero, and the windage turrets just died. I tossed it and just got tech sights.

Yeah, Ranger Green is a desaturated green-gray base color used primarily for TA-50/OCIE/gear and such. It's popularity is probably due to its reputation as a 75th exclusive snowflake color. Despite this, it is an effective base color in regions where the color value is low (dark). Because of its neutral tone, it is often superior to Olive Drab in my opinion.

What about just straight up grey colors? For gear.
