>ITT, the worst brands for /k/ stuff but also their one redeeming quality.
Cold Steel is the worst of the big knife brands
They are the cringiest company by far, everything about them, from their products to their marketing to their fanbase is pure ponytail-and-fedora tactical euphoria. Plus their shit is overpriced considering materials used and simplistic design/construction. I base this mainly on their pocket knives because that's what I know best, but I would assume it applies to everything else too.
BUT I appreciate the fact that they're trying different things. Many of their designs are fairly unique as far as name-brand knives go. IF I actually wanted something weird like an Espada or Kudu it's nice to know that there's something out there bridging the gap between the flea market and custom/artisan knives.
>>29771118
Kelly Tec and Taurus. Their products are generally shit quality, but they seem to be the only gun manufacturers brave enough to actually try to innovate instead of just churning out the same safe, boring designs forever and ever.
>>29771118
Yeah you're wrong though. They have plenty of meme katanas and marketing, but materials for the price and their durability is pretty unmatched. Benchmade and spyderco? Now that shit is overpriced

Any recommendations on goggles, preferably actual military or in their style, that can be worn over eyeglasses easily? Don't care about cost but the cheaper the better, as long as it does its job properly should an incident occur.
>>29771078
ESS Landops, with the adapter.
pic kinda related, the guy on the right has glasses-adapter on his slim eyepro, on which the ESS style goggles would go nicely.
Are Russian goggles cool? The 6b34 and the newer 6b50 have 6mm thick visor which is kind of interesting
>>29771078
>worn over eyeglasses easily
none.
ive had tons of jobs than i needed goggles, some gave us military stuff, some some specialized goggles, and ive bought some myself, all claiming to fit over RX glasses, not aa single one does.

I don't own guns myself, nor do I plan on owning any, but my son's pretty into it.
What MA-friendly, reasonably-priced guns would /k/ recommend? Also, what are the trials and tribulations of acquiring a gun license so I can go to the range with him and so he can get one too?
pic related, the gun he wants, a glock .22 caliber
MA bro here, getting the pistol license is the first trial. Oh and believe me, it ain't easy. May Issue faggotry and such. Then, you need a high capacity permit because "Muh AWB". And there is a really nice range out in Sharon, down on Belcher street. Also Braintree and Wrentham if you can't handle the Jews. The one in braintree has a Pistol and Rifle club too. What part of Mass?
Arlington.

Blood for the blood God. Skulls for the skull throne.
It's stated in Berserk fhat no man could wield the Dragonslayer bc of it's weight. I have a theory that if the Dragonslayer was made of a lighter metal, it could be wielded irl.
Agree/disagree?
>>29770550
Uhhhhhhhhhh, yeah?
If it's lighter some people would wield it?
????
I don't know, if it was made of a different metal it wouldn't be Dragonslayer.
Wait, why am I even talking about...fuck it.
No. Nobody could wield it.
>>29770550
The real question is, could the loli wield Guts's dick?
hey /k/ sometime in the future I plan to make a sweet mosin pistol that can send anyone on an express trip to hell on the 7.62 express what's your thoughts should I make one?
I doubt you'll be able to saw it as smoothly.
Also, I'm not a huge fan of the pistol grip.
But hey- it's your mosin.

i see no reason not to make a mosin pistola

Building my first AR, looking at this assembly. With the metric fucktons of info on ARs out there I'm not sure what constitutes good or bad. Reviews seem to be positive, but have any of you ever had personal experience with this? Are there any better products in the <$400 range?
One thing I think people get lost in these days of complete market saturation for different gun related parts and accessories, and in fact guns themselves is that sometimes, there literally is no difference.
I am not directing this specifically at you OP, but for the people who will assuredly ask ITT about differences between two mil spec lowers that are the same price, or two pancake holsters that are both of the same quality and same price etc.
Take my local holster manufacturer, KRounds for example. They make, IMO very nice Kydex holsters. Nothing particularly special about them, but they are made just down I5 from me, I like the employees I have interacted with, and the holsters are good quality. However, the difference between a standard KRounds IWB with belt loops and something like the Bladetech Nano, at least, an older one before they moved to their new injection molding plastics (now, whether you want to debate the merits of that vs kydex is another matter) but the price is the same, both are local companies, and both holsters are literally the exact same.
Whos do you want? Like I said, I like KRounds for pretty subjective reasons. Maybe you like Bladetechs duty holsters that KRounds doesn't make. Or maybe you like your local Kydex maker who's bread and butter looks exactly like a Blade tech nano, or Krounds IWB and sells for the same price.
Generally, the common tagline you will hear with PSA is to get the CHF stuff, and stay away from PTAC. Freedom is someplace in between. You can find completed uppers at the same price point (at least when it isn't on sale) all over the place with the same barrel profiles, probably even nitrided as well. etc.
For 319 dollars, I don't think you can go wrong. PSA has a lifetime warranty on all firearms sold by them, and while an upper isn't a firearm, it stands to reason they aren't going to fuck you if you have a problem. They are a reputable company.

>>29770426
TLDR at some point in the world of holsters, sub $800 AR's, ~$150 night sights all using Trijicon lamps, etc. literally a case of eenie meenie miney mo if it is a manufacturer name you have heard of or trust their warranty/customer service etc.

Early this morning g I had a fever-induced waking dream in which I frantically thrashed around my bed because I forgot what round I was chambered in. I was only able to restful sleep once I remembered that I hold 20 rounds of 7.62x39 internally, fed from stripper clips. What round are you chambered in, /k/?
>>29770171
I'm chambered in 6.5x55. Thank you for asking, and I hope you all continue to respect my wishes to operate at ranges exceeding 500 yards.
Please put trigger warnings on anything with 300 win mag.

How many men with AR-15 would be required to take and hold Area 51 for long enough to determine its secrets? I think as few as 15 guys could do it.
>>29770137
They'd probably delight in the opportunity to try out their freaky and weird new weapons on you and your band of militiamen.
Well they use it for testing of experimental aircraft, so you'd have to deal with fighter jets and other stuff coming after you
If the Second Amendment is about revolution, shouldn't there be a corollary that limits the weaponry the government is allowed to have? I would propose a law banning police from wearing body armor. That would make them think twice before trying to take away our freedom.
>>29770132
It isn't about revolution. It's about fundamental, inalienable rights of the people to keep and bear arms.
>>29770132
>>29770814
It's actually about having a distributed defense force that can protect the country from invasion or put down rebellions, and if necessary prevent government tyranny.
The idea with the militia was that officers would be appointed by the government and taken from wherever, but the enlisted men that made up the bulk of troops would be local and therefore wouldn't follow orders to commit atrocities on their own friends and neighbors.
Part of why trying to understand the 2A is such a fucked up situation is that there wasn't really supposed to be a national standing military, and the bulk of America's fighting force was supposed to be made up of armed citizens who'd be called up in a time of need. If you read the relevant Federalist Papers, the whole thing sounds a lot like the Swiss militia system or something.
