Why
I don't understand why the Muhrines feel the need to have the most useless form of a fighter jet
>>30034239
What's useless about it?
>>30034256
At least it's good at sparking edgy faggots to make attention whoring posts
>>30034256
It can do something muh F-22 can't. Ergo, it's shit.
Speed, /k/, ever since I was little playing Smugglers Run I've been fascinated with speed on the battlefield.
This particular example is a nitro boosted armoured Camero driven by a Dutchman who decided that the Balkan Wars were no excuse to stop delivering medical supplies.
The man himself with the bullet he took to the head somewhere around Vukovar
>>30034089
nitro is a meme and is replaceable by a [super/turbo]charger but fast things are cool so its ok
Then there was the 9th Infantry Division of the US Army equipped with TOW-armed fast attack vehicles intended to make the best use of terrain to ambush Soviet mechanised forces.
Bought a 12 gauge pic related in rough condition for $40. Also came with a brand new blank stock. So what's the coolest thing to do with a single shot?
Shoot it
Cut the barrel down to 18 inches.
It's a gun. It does one thing. Figure it out.
Which is the bigger paper tiger and why?

India is a logistics cluster fuck, at least China is doing much better in that regard.
India
They speak 70 languages over there.
At least in China they don't have slavery, they do have a working education system, and they have more running water.
India is the worst democracy to live in.
In a shooting war, China would steamroll over them.

Doesn't exactly inspire confidence.
‘Underwater Great Wall’: Chinese firm proposes building network of submarine detectors to boost nation’s defence
http://www.scmp.com/news/china/diplomacy-defence/article/1947212/underwater-great-wall-chinese-firm-proposes-building
>The “Underwater Great Wall” is the construction of a network of ship and subsurface sensors that could significantly erode the undersea warfare advantage held by US and Russian submarines and contribute greatly to future Chinese ability to control the South China Sea, the report said.
>The corporation is proposing an improved Chinese version of the Sound Surveillance System that for a time gave the US a significant advantage in countering Soviet submarines during the cold war, the article said.
How feasible is this? Is Sound Surveillance still as effective as it was in the Cold War? What would the US/Russian response be?
Looks like tapping missions are back on the menu boys
>>30033824
>What would the US/Russian response be?
Probably turn their systems back on.
Must be really annoying for the Chinese, they can't build anything remotely barrier-related without it being dubbed "the Great *fill in blank* Wall of China".
I want to nig up my Glock a little bit with some extended controls and maybe replace some of the plastic parts with metal ones.
Does anybody have experience with these aluminum magazine releases for Gen 4 Glocks? Do they fix the mushy feel of the mag release at all, or is it just a placebo? I'm also curious if the metal mag catch rubbing against the plastic of the magazine body tends to abrade the magazine body at all.

Another thing I'm wondering is, how do the different "3.5 lb" connectors reduce the trigger pull weight and which one is best? Do they just reduce friction against the trigger bar, or is the trigger disconnecting safety feature of the gun compromised somehow?
3.5lbs connectors drop the trigger pull weight slightly but they also add a little bit of creep.
I have have that mag release on my Glock 20 and I like it but it's a 3rd gen. I also have the 3 1/2 lb diamond connector on my 3rd gen Glock 29 and am not really sure how it works. I didn't even notice it that much. What I really noticed was doing the "10 cent trigger job" YouTube vids you see that you just polish everything with Flitz. Never noticed any creep either.
>>30033893
Pull the trigger slowly with both index fingers, you'll feel some creep
They're not "SBRs" because thats not a "buttstock".
All hail the wisdom of the glorious ATF
>>30033603
>>30033603
What the fuck did you just fucking say about me, you little bitch? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in the ATF, and I've been involved in numerous secret raids on kennels, and I have over 300 confirmed doggie kills. I am trained in k-9 warfare and I'm the top doggo killer in the entire BATFE. You are nothing to me but just another dog owner. I will wipe you the fuck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with saying that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your dog. You're fucking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill your dog in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the ATF and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable dog off the face of the continent, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little "clever" comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fucking tongue. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now your dog is paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will shit fury all over you and your dog will drown in it. You're fucking dead, doggo.

What was your favorite World War 2 tank /k/?
My personal favorite was the Tiger I
Easy Eight
Panzer 4, the one Germany should have stuck with.
>>30034176
E-series would have been tight.
Of course, development should have started in 1941 at the absolute latest.
I'm planning to join the military when I get out of high school.
Should I join the Marines or the Army?
>>30033437
just gtfo
>>30033465
why ?
I'm asking a genuine question.
>>30033437
Join the Airforce and get a job you can do something with when the military is done with you

Just watched some russian propaganda and now im wondering.
Are western special forces really that salty about not having one of pic related
The VSS/VKS are pointless niche filling rifles that are only known in the west because of videogames
>>30033394
We could have something similar. We just need to pick a bullpup DMR and put a can on it. Although I'm jealous of that fuckhuge can.
I want to get a Mark 23 and buy the absolute fucking biggest suppressor I can find for it so when I got to the range it looks like I'm firing a pistol through a 55 gal drum.
>>30033394
What can it do better that a normal suppressed sniper rifle can't do?
Kinda /k/ related. How would you go about mapping a wooded area? Tried to improve a google map, but it´s not ideal. Are there any gps devices that can track undergrounds too?
>>30033269
Contour lines!, notable rocks, cliffs, paths. Use different, simple colour distinctions. Thickness of forest / brush maybe as well, depending on how large the area is.
Are you sure there aren't any real maps on the area?
https://www.trails.com/maps.aspx
>>30033269
First, get a simple black and white copy map of whatever area it is you're trying to map. Your local city, county or state should have base maps that show the most common things like roads and property boundaries.
Take map into field and establish a few key landmarks that you can reliably transfer their ground location to the map.
Do this with as many things of interest as you can.
Next, use a good compass and a cruisers hip chain, measuring wheel or rangefinder you can measure direction and distance between your landmarks and the other features and points of interest.
Then, using an engineers scale and your compass, scale these features onto your map with your measured bearing and distances
I got ripped off. I went to a store to buy a knife. Two greek guys were working there. 'hello young man would you like to buy a switch blade' He pulled it out and sprung it into action. I told him 'no, I'm not interested, I'd like to buy a cold steel folding knife'. I pointed out the one I wanted. At the store the price tag said 149.99. Anyway, before I bought it the other store owner tried to distract me. He asked me if I wanted to buy a soviet flask. The flask's soviet emblem was broken off and he was selling it for 40 bucks. I refused but I didn't point out the defect. He then asked the other guy at the register 'what's the total'. The guy at the register responded '250'. I bought it with while a little confused. They kept trying to distract me. The cashier said 'Oh, you see the other guy, he's very ugly don't you think?'. I said 'he looks fine'.
As I was walking out of the store i realized I was ripped off. They didn't even give me a receipt. I took out the knife and he ripped off the price tag sticker. Only a little bit of the red sticker was left on the package. I was too scared to go back in to confront them. I just went home.
Should I go back and confront them?
you're an idiot.
>>30033122
You're a pussy for not saying anything about the magical 100 price increase on the spot, and dumb as fuck for paying for it.
You aren't getting your money back. You have no receipt and no price tag. You fucked yourself.
Maybe in the future don't be so quick to fork out your cash, especially when you know the price isn't right.
I've seen this before.
picked this up today at the fun show, don't know too much about garands. any tips/things I should know
>>30033090
Congrats! Manufacturer? Year?
Watch your thumb (practice loading with snap caps to get used to the whole enbloc thing) and use 150 grain ammo and nothing higher if it doesn't have one of those self-regulating or adjustable gas plugs.
Look up how to properly lube AND grease the rifle.
Treat it well and it willtreat you well, etc.
The 1897.
Tried to shoot it yesterday but the mag tube is releasing when I try to work the action and it throws the extractor and the bolt all out of wack and I don't know what the deal is.
Get a good quality sling and learn how to use it as support while shooting.
A Garand Gear gas plug is a very good idea, will let you shoot any .30-06 you have.
Strip it once to clean and grease, but avoid removing the stock frequently. Stock fit is important to a Garand, and removing it frequently will loosen it.
My Garand is probably my favorite rifle, keep it in good shape and you'll have a fantastic heirloom for your son someday.
I've just figured out these exist and i wanted to know if anyone here owned one or at least shot it.
It seems like it'd make a great alternative to the LCP. only slightly bigger but it's chambered in 9x19 instead of .380
>>30033069
They do make the LCP in 9mm
>>30033095
When did they do this? unless my googlefu is horrendous i only see it in .380
is it under a different model name?
>>30033124
No idea, not too big on Ruger's pistols. It's the LC9 but it is a thing
look at the Kahr PM9 if you're really in the need of a small 9mm
