What's your most effective way of ceasing arguments with anti's /k/? May personal favourite is:
>Look, I know you hate gun violence. Everybody does, me included. But I think our real issue here is merely a difference of opinion on how to reduce it, and what common sense control really is. I'm willing to agree to disagree because who knows who'll turn out to be right. But attacking me won't solve anything, despite the fact that I own guns, I'm on your side.
>mfw I'm not at all I'm just sick of the conversation and now they're going to cut me some slack for sure.

Local gunshop is suggesting tapping the rear sight with a brass punch but they have a rep for being screwups. Is that the right move or do I need to find someone with that Glock rear sight adjustment tool?
>>30038871
what do you think about sighting in the pistol all by yourself?
>>30038894
I had a friend shoot it as well and at 10 yards both of us were 3-4 inches left of target, so it's not just me fucking it up.
>>30038871
Using a a punch is fine, I'd recommend a nylon punch over brass especially if you are going to be buying one anyway. If you already have a brass punch, just use it. The rear sight tools are really only helpful with sights that don't have a square profile.

Cali-cucks buckle up because you guys are about to be felons- 90% of you. Here's why (legislation below) :
>AB 0156: Restrictions on ammunition purchases, creates a DOJ database of ammunition owners.
>AB 0857: Requires serial numbers to be placed on all home-built firearms, as well as curio and relic handguns dating back to 1899.
>AB 1135: Bans common and constitutionally protected firearms that have magazine locking devices, such as “bullet buttons”.
>AB 1511: Criminalizes loaning of firearms between personally known, law-abiding adults, including sportsmen and hunters.
>SB 0894: Victimizes victims by criminalizing the failure to report lost and stolen firearms within a short time frame.
>SB 1006: University of California taxpayer funding for gun control research.
>SB 1446: Retroactively bans possession of lawfully acquired, standard capacity magazines that can hold over 10 rounds.
Its already passed house and senate of California and its on the governors desk for tomorrow. One signature and all you have-guns in California browsing right now are felons.
Do we know whether it's expected to be signed or vetoed?
>>30038865
Brown might veto those so as not to hurt his reputation, because he knows Newsom is likely going to be the next governor, and Newsom will rubber stamp that shit.
You forgot the most important one
ALL SEMI AUTO RIFLES WITH DETACHABLE MAGAZINES ARE NOW CLASSIFIED AS
***ASSAULT RIFLES****
(that includes the 10/22 lol)
I won't have the money to buy full fun anything in the near future, but I love LMGs. I want a gun with a nice heavy barrel that takes large drums or belts that hand handle somewhat sustained fire. I want a gun that is somewhat impractically large that scream I am overcompensating for something. What's the best way to get there without shelling out more than $1500? Pic related: my dream.

What is that thing? I mean I know it's an AR upper, but beyond that...
I'm making a summer reading list and this year I'm super interested in war memoirs after watching Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Restrepo, and Korengal.
I'm really interested in what I think you'd call "soldier narratives". The thoughts, feelings, and reflections of those who were involved with combat. I'm not looking for books full of military history, tactics, or strategy.
I'm open to any conflict, but I'm thinking specifically about WW1 to the present. I'd love it if anyone knew of good translations of memoirs from the Japanese in WW2 or the VC and NVA in Vietnam.
Here are a few that seem pretty darn good to get us started:
With the Old Breed at Peleliu and Okinawa by E.B. Sledge
Helmet For My Pillow by Robert Leckie
If I Die in a Combat Zone, Box Me Up and Ship Me Home by Tim O'Brien
five years to freedom
>>30038055
Brazen Chariots (Desert Rat in a Stuart).
Baa Baa Black Sheep (Flying Tigers to Pacific to POW camp).
My War: Killing Time in Iraq (Iraqi War from POV of the first really famous milblogger).
Up Front (Europe WW2 written by cartoonist for Stars & Stripes).
Those are some of my all time favorites. Not so much blood and guts as some of the others, but thoroughly personal accounts with all the small, funny, weird stuff that never seems to make it into the history books.
Pic related -- I have an autographed copy of his book. And I am here to tell you Pappy Boyington had big giant fucking hands.
Just play Metal Gear OP. If you can look past the anime silliness it is actually a decent look at the complexities of conflict and being a soldier.
It's 1916
You can give germany 2 different types of weapons, 500,000 each (totaling 1,000,000 total) plus 50,000,000 rounds of ammo
MP40, the guys already have a fuck ton of 9mm pistol ammo
RPG-7, fuck the shit out of British tanks
Congrats, Germany now wins ww1.
I'm going to assume you meant small arms.
Real talk, I'd probably give them Nambus and FP45 liberators, because I'm not an unpatriotic fuck and I want to do my part to defeat the Hun.
If I wanted them to win, probably mortars and rocket propelled grenades.

I know it is an advert for a game but it has some parts that give detail to the vehicle. especially the part where they say Afghanit and not Afghanistan (towelfags BTFO).
Also what is the difference between AESA and APAR (Active Phased Array Radar)?
Also really ugly turret.

Hey /k/, first time gun buyer here. I'm from California, trying to start a collection while the gettin's good. I'm from /pol/ so I have faith in the future of the 2nd. I read the sticky, and I'm pretty sure the Marlin Model 60 is the one I want. But I hear a lot about the Ruger 10/22. Thoughts? I'm trying not to fall for any memes here, and I don't have a lot of cash
What are you looking to do with your gun? And what is your budget?
>>30037925
Both are going to be fine. That said, a tube Model 60 doesn't have a detachable magazine, which is something that may be hard to find more of if people get into a gun panic.
>>30037946
Budget is, eh, $300 at the most. My first gun, as I've read on here, is for practicing marksmanship (my brother is a marine so he can help me there), and .22s have cheap and plentiful ammuntion if I've read correctly. So plinking pretty much. I'll get "cool" guns later after a handgun which is next.
My friends, I have heard vastly different things online about the WASR rifle. I find it enjoyable to shoot, but how does it really stack up in terms of AK rifles? I mean in terms of accuracy, rugedness, and reliability most of all. Does it really do the Kalashnikov design justice, and what are its closest competitors?
Pic related
They're all rugged, pretty accurate, and reliable. They can have questionable fit and finish compared to new-manufacturer rifles.
It's a pretty loved rifle for poorfags
Drop the trip. It's a fine and dandy rifle for the price. If you want something similar buy a zastava. If you want something better pay 200 more and get a ddi or 400 more for an arsenal.
Learn to fucking google senpai, it ain't hard.
>>30037815
>I have autism
FTFY
>>30037777
They're solid rifles for the price, used to be a better bargain when you could snag em for about 450 but they're still good. I'd probably just pay the extra little bit and get a DDI though like anon said, I'd avoid Zastava simply because of proprietary furniture and get something a little more universal AKM. Arsenal makes good rifles too though I guess recently they had a bad batch, wouldn't let it stop me from getting one though.
TL;DR
It's fine, hope you enjoy it.
is a .40 really a meme calibur? I'm on the fence between 9mm and .45, thought about the middle ground but i hear they're hard to get.

>>30037667
There's very little difference between the terminal ballistics of the big three pistol calibers. I prefer 9mm for capacity but do you bruh.
After taking this picture, I realized I should've bought a Jeep or a motorcycle instead.

If barrels weren't so hard to come by nowadays, I would love to do an 86 kit. I would've preferred to do an 86 kit over my SLR107UR, but 7.62x39 is fun, and I knew they hadn't been imported in a long time and jumped on one.
