Guys this seems relevant, is the mag-7 shotgun any good?
Why is this happening?
>stock won't fit buffer tube.
I bought a .308 magpul PRS and a rifle length buffer tube.
I know I'm not putting it on right because I don't have the lpk yet, but that doesn't explain why the stock is stopping short of going all the way to the lower...
Can somebody help me understand?
>>30026510
Mil spec vs Commercial spec?
Just a shot in the dark.
>>30026510
>buying magpul
you brought this on yourself
>>30026510
How far threaded is the buffer tube for one, is it actually over the buffer retainer pin ~1/3 of the way like it should be?
Also, who manufactures the buffer tube
Are there any good centerfire rounds similar to .22 that are good for cheap shooting?
Or if such a round doesn't exist yet, would there be the possibility of making a round like that for a gun?
How are rounds like .25 ACP or .22 Hornet?
Just to have a lighter round for like youth rifles and plinking stuff that works on a centerfire design and is still affordable.
>>30026495
.223
9mm is the cheapest center fire there is.
It costs about half as much as .223
>>30026643
Is there really nothing cheaper than 9mm?
Would that be a round suited to a cheap plinking carbine or a line of youth rifles do you think?
I really want to build something like pic related from a 20inch upper, but not sure if I will regret it down the road. This would probably be my only AR for a while.
Should I just go for the 20inch A2, and be done with it? I live in a suburb, and mainly shoot at the range.
>>30026491
modularity. one lower many uppers.
At least get a flat top upper.
>>30026491
this rifle is as you see it plus a M4 16" upper.
Anyone else a zombie Hunter? 22 MAGNUM. So small but still powerful enough to rip the back of a zombies head off.
>>30026403
>.22 mag

good joke OP
Perfectly balanced for upside down shots. Will come in handy for my ninja flips
Bump
Once the novelty wears off, what's the best way to mod these? I know nothing about modified firearms.
Not sure why my phone decided to flip the image. Im thinking something like this.
>>30026353
they don't make those kits anymore. haven't for some time.
FBI/ATF probable cause BAIT thread.
Hey /K/ I am a kinda new gun fan. I know a bit about the big name guns and I own a couple shotguns and pistols but I have yet to get anything expensive. So I ask you /K/ what do you think of the Rhino. I really want a revolver and I like the unique look of the rhino but I haven't heard much about the performance. Does anyone here own it and hohow do you like it.
is this a meme
I guess if the image amuses you. IDK just asking for thoughts.
>>30026245
Don't buy the rhino if you're new to guns
It's an alloy gun and a revolver, read up on how to use them
You'll blow your thumb off if you hold it like a semiautomatic
Other than that, I love mine
Ask about em, show em off, etc, regardless of whether you're a Glocksucker, a Kochfag, a Czechnologist, a wheelgunner, or you love fuddy five or 9 or 357manglem or 10mememeter.
Pic related, my single stacks. Picked up the M8 this week for 1500. Box, manual, tools, fired case, extra mag and original grips too.
Nice M8, m8. Took my P7 out today
>>30026164
Where are those gorgeous grips from?
>>30026304
Eagle grips.

i wanna hear your guy's opinion on swiss army knives. Never see /k/ talking about them.
They are okay tier. Was good enough to go out into the woods as a kid but nothing really else.

Good gift for 7th birthday.

They're pretty meh as far as multitools go. Still have my super tinker my grandfather gave me when I was a kid
so, I've been thinking about this for awhile. I know that the Army National Guard and Reserves have a shit ton of M16A2's still in service and I've been thinking of how to make them still usable but for less than the cost of buying a new upper or complete rifle.
the biggest thing that I can think of is removing the solid stock and replacing it with a 4 or 6 position collapsible stock(helps immensely when wearing body armor). second would be to install a rail on the bottom of the hand guard through the holes that are already there( there are some units that currently do this), this would be used for a VFG. third would be to install a rail mount through the front sight post in order to mount IR laser aiming devices. Most units already have red dots (aimpoints) and the necessary goosenecks to mount them securely. I had though of changing the flash hider but the average cost for effective flash hiders would tip the scale for the budget IMO. I am trying to think of what suitable scope to use in place of a ACOG or M145. something that has around a 4x-6x that can be mounted onto the carrying handle but won't sit as high. particularly from someone that the DOD already has contracts with(discounts and ease of logistics).
what do you guys think?
A brand new m4 cost the government something like $400. It's probably cheaper to just buy new carbines.
All the NG/AR units that do use m16a2 are not line units and could get away with using muskets from the revolutionary war.
t. guardsman
>>30025972
You do not realize how cheap the Army buys M4's and the manpower involved in modifying existing weapons, there is a reason older weapons are given away/sold to "allied" groups rather than upgrading them.
>>30025972
if you are issued an a2 and have to use it, somebody fucked up
if a ANG or reserves unit deploys, they almost always get brand new M4s anyway
Have any of you actually had to use your CCW?
It seems like there is not a single komando with real life experience here.
How long you been here, sport?
>>30025870
Theres quite a few stories, most are dubious at best like that guy that used a 20mm in home defense.
Here is the only person I know of to tell all about it in detail.

Guys can you tell me why no nation wants to attempt some sort of psyops operation where they attempt an offensive with native WW2 vehicles/aircraft?
Imagine if you were fighting Ivans and all of a sudden they deploy T-34s in exactly the right situation. If it worked, it would completely demoralize enemy troops.

So .... exactly how high are you?
