I'm thinking i wanna get my CC and grab a hand gun. i know at the end of the day it comes down to shooting a bunch and picking what i like best, but there's one i'm leaning to and i wanted opinions.

i know nothing about guns really, but i've shot both of these and i enjoyed them

Glock 19
>>30028318
i've shot a few glocks, dont know which ones they were exactly. i could settle for that if i had too
is this a common first gun people get
When I try to shoot quick, I still get a grouping but it's 6" low at 21'.
Trying not to jerk trigger, anticipate recoil or look over sights.
Any advice?

Yes keep practicing.
But more importantly, SLOW DOWN. You're trying to dash before you can run.

Just standing and aiming, I shoot at a level that I am very proud of. Standing, aiming at 75 feet I can get about a 5" group. It's not Miculek territory or anything but I'm checking off that competency as acquired.
There is no place handy to practice moving and shooting or shooting from different positions. That leaves shooting wrong handed and shooting quickly. I want to get shooting quickly under my belt next.
So, at 21', I can put the vast majority of shots into a 1" group. When I try to rapid fire, controlled rapid but still very quick that is, I get about a 4 or 5" grouping but it's 6" low. This is an improvement as I used to walk the bullets down further and further until I ran out of ammo. That was probably from recoil anticipation. This error, I'm guessing is from jerking the trigger but I don't know how not to while shooting that fast?
The US should go back to having a "Bomber Air Force" where there are more bombers than fighters. Sure they are more expensive, but they get more work done every time they are sent out. For example, the B-1B accounts for only 7% of sorties against ISIS but it has dropped more bombs on ISIS than any other aircraft.
http://www.airforcetimes.com/story/military/2016/03/24/air-force-f-16s-fly-most-sorties-against-isis-b-1s-drop-most-bombs/82212394/
Bombers are also the perfect platform for delivering CAS because of their amazing payload and loiter time.
http://foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/b-1b-bombers-are-the-aerial-weapon-of-choice-for-suppor-1750018432
Last but certainly not least, it is easier to make a stealth bomber than a stealth fighter. The B-2 has an RCS smaller than an insect and it is immune to all radar bands, making it practically undetectable at any range. Stealth fighters like the F-22 and F-35 are only resistant to the X-band.
>The B-2 has an RCS smaller than an insect and it is immune to all radar bands, making it practically undetectable at any range.
That's classified, we have no idea how stealthy the B-2 really is.

>Using a 2 billion dollaroos bomber to kill Ali the goatherder with khyber copy Einfield. Good gob there, economician.
Fuck yeah, we need to bring back 1000 bomber raids. Let's see how long ISIS wants to play cowboys and indians when the skies are regularly blacked with fortresses and liberators.
How would a soldier of antiquity fare against a modern one, if the modern soldier didn't have firearms? Would modern infantry training and tactics let a 11B beat a greek hoplite, assuming the hoplite was an average soldier of their day and armed with obsolete equipment?
>>30027915
I don't understand a word of what you're saying.
>if the modern soldier didn't have firearms
Actual soldiers of armies way back when were actual muscle. If you took soem 11b and gave him the same equipment as a hoplite he'd get wrecked.
>>30027993
weren't the average soldiers of the ancient times usually undersized? The average human height back then was like 4'6"

What does /k/ think of the j-comp? Good performance for the price or junk?
>>30027721
good for the price. i can tell a difference from the A2, but then again 556 is not crazy on recoil to begin with. There should be some in depth reviews online.
I'm thinking of getting 2, one for my AR with a 20 inch barrel, and my Ruger Gunsite Scout in 5.56.

http://www.nighthawkcustom.com/korth
Already known about the Sky Hawk, but the Super Sport and Mongoose look new (the latter looks gorgeous). Prices are what you'd expect from Korth.
>>30027608
To be honest, reaching up into that price range, I'd almost rather just have a S&W sent off to heirloom. In fact, I think I would...
>>30027608
I don't think there is a matte tactical black $3000 revolver market. At Korth price ranges I imagine the market will want gloss blue and wood grips.
>>30027736
I don't know, I like it, but I'm also not in a position to drop over three grand on one.

Okay, which one of you faggots is responsible for this shit? The zombie meme needs to die.
>>30027118
kys
Post yfw you fell for the zombie meme
>>30027118
Hornady marketing committee. They tried to come in on the zombie shit, but they were too late. Fad ended and the rounds didn't sell. So now you can buy them real cheap.
just bought my first glock brand glock today and need to know what you recommend i upgrade.
also can someone hook me up with a link to cheap magazines currently own 3 -10rd and 2 - 15rd mags and i own the G26
currently on my shopping cart
>3.5 trigger kit
>truglo night sights
>extended mag release
>Glock perfection
>I'm gonna make it better
>>30027094
>3.5 trigger kit
I guess
>truglo
get trijicon
>extended mag release
completely unnecessary but ok
buy 3 or 4 more mags and a bunch of ammo
>>30027124
i reload all my own ammo so not a problem currently sitting on about 3500 rounds of loaded ammo and still got 2 5gal buckets of brass to clean, deprime and load.
should i avoid cheap mags?
Hey there, I'm interested in buying a gun. A longbarreled rifle if possible, no automatics. Something like this. Anyone know where in Texas I could buy one?
>>30027004
literally anywhere.
>>30027004
Don't buy a last ditch Arisaka unless you really want one.
>>30027031
I wasn't meaning an Arisaka, I was meaning one of a similar type. My uncle owns a 98k that his dad used in the war, and it got me thinking about owning a bolt action too.
Looking for a rifle
Looking for something to take a deer down
Looking for most bang my buck
What am I looking at?
>>30026933
Mosin Nagant
>>30026933
Savage 11
Savage axis or Mossberg Patriot if you can spend a little more.
Sup guys, I'm deciding on purchasing a firearm for the first time. Can only purchase a long gun at the moment. Furthermore, 5 rounds per clip is the legal limit. Any Suggestions?
>>30026910
maybe something like a Savage MK II.
Also, what country are you from?
>>30026955
This. Where the fuck you at?
Im interested in buying a double barrel shotgun under 300 dollars, any advice?
>>30026812
go browse local pawnshops for somethin
>>30026812
Give up unless you want a rusty piece of shit
You can get a brand new Stoeger for only a little bit more than that.
Heya /k/. Newgunz here. I've been looking for a good innawoods gun that eats cheap ammo. I tried looking for an SKS, but my lgs hasn't seen one in a while and all the private sales I've looked at are blatant rip-offs that only literal retards could fall for.
Is there a good alternative to the SKS that isn't expensive, or should I just save up for something nice?
Also innawoods thread.
Basic Ruger 10/22 is cheap as can be and decent. If you're looking for something with 'muh stopping power' for big game you could probably afford a shotgun aswell.
>SKS's are not a hair under $400 here, unless they're missing bayonet and rusty as all fuck.
>Some pleb always buys it first and puts some $60 plastic stock on it and tries to sell it for $500+
>They've also usually ruined something on it, and there's no converting it back.
> Ruger 10/22 ~$250-280 Single break-action shotty $75-140
>Pump shotty $200+
>Semi-auto shotty $240+
>Nugget meme gun supreme ~$240 with no accessories
>Ak's starting $400 and up to $800
>>30026686
Gun Broker is your friend. I scored and got my hands on a '54 Tula SKS.
Alternatively, Classic Firearms has unissued Yugo M59/66s for $425, and J&G Sales and Southern Ohio Gun have some nice Norinco Type 56s still in stock.
>>30028258
This. I feel so bad for my Yugo SKS because of the bubba who laid his hands on her before I got her.
>Tapco handguard
>Stock from a Norinco
>He cut the grenade sights off with a goddamn grinder.
>The button behind the trigger guard has been replaced with a Phillips head screw.
>The sling mounts have been removed (even the one on the gas block).
I mean I got the damn thing for $150 but still. At least the bore didn't look like a sewer pipe.
I'm fresh out. Watched everything in the catalog and it's still raining outside. I need some good shootouts. I need some operating. Please show me something new.
