It's done, /k/! A few people asked me to post details once I had it done and running well. .308 AR, shoots 1" with dodgy ammo at 100 yards without a proper rest, cycles and functions well now that it's broken in (took about 30 rounds and some very aggressive oiling). Cost $800, including shipping and FFL fee, then about $120 in tools. Scope and rings are ones I had lying around. Mags not included.
>>30022825
That looks gorgeous.
>>30022825
Looks like a thing. Parts?
>>30022825
Uses SR-25 mags. Had to grind them a little to get them to fit; just took some material off the back of the magwell. Break in was a bitch, as the barrel and bolt are from different manufacturers, and the lockup was so tight it took some wearing in. Headspaced fine. Parts list, including shipping and FFL fee where appropriate:

It seems like we're past due for this technology unless there are some major drawbacks?
>>30022730
> major drawbacks
80 tons with small surface area for feet, will sink into earth pretty much anyware. also if it falls, how the fuck do you get it back up

In that case, would a smaller human sized version work?
you are a shia in the middle of isis controlled territory
you are at 500km from irak army controlled zone
you are carrying a 2 litres bottle of water, a knife, a pistol and arabic clothes
how do you manage to go to scape?
>>30022695
By the will of Allah.
Just walk out of ISIL territory.
Use the water and metal from the knife to start a fusion reactor, start it with the koffman system.
Use the unlimited power to turn sand into microchips and achieve unlimited computatonal power.
Use barrel of the gun to focus on the communication sattellites, hack into the global internet and troll slavboos until ISIS collapses.
just to fuck with you guys i made this ;)

Without any of this information, the only thing you're doing here is wasting our time. Fuck off or post more, faggot.

Will there be a cruise missile spam in a serious shooting war (no nukes) considering a single missile costs $2 mil a pop for just 300kg of explosives?
Yes, particularly in the Pacific.
The US is quite fond of using tomahawks and it's pretty much China's main strategy in the outbreak of a war.
>>30022399
Actually they're about $1 mil each.
Over 100 cruise missiles were fired at Libya in a single night

This has happened to me before and I was still functional for another 6 hours. I just couldn't hear anything until the next day. I didn't lay on the ground crying like I was having a fucking heat stroke.
Reminder that fat produce estrogen and release a chemical that converts testosterone to estrogen.
Remember this when encountering a pear/apple shaped male. Realize this explains their behavior.

Source? I'm study brain chemistry and this sounds familiar.

Let's say you have a militia/small PMC, what would be the main
rifle/sidearm/plate carrier/camo issue?
Considering you have a very good amount of money.
AR-15/Glock 17/don't care use whatever is reasonably affordable and good quality/multicam

Any submariners on here? More specifically people on boomers. My dad was on a fast attack and he tells me it sucked the whole time. What is life as part of a boomer crew like?
>>30021904
Being on a submarine sucks. It's cramped, they fuck with the air, and you get locked in a torpedo tube if you're the newest guy.
>>30021927
>the fuck with the air
How so?
>>30021964
They keep Oxygen at 19% to reduce the risk of fires, I never really got used to it so was always tired.
Allies Will Not Play a Role in B-21 Development, Unlike F-35
>“As we develop future systems and aircraft, [a joint approach] will be one that we look at to see if we can do that,” Bunch said at the Norwegian-American Defense Conference. “I do not believe in any way shape or form it will be a thing we look at on the B-21.”
http://www.defensenews.com/story/defense/air-space/2016/05/19/allies-not-play-role-b-21-development-unlike-f-35/84586498/
Is it secrecy or attempt to avoid issues seen with the F-35?
Do other countries use the B-1 or B-52? Strategic bombers have never been an international product.
>>30021883
If allies were to be involved in the development of a bomber then that would imply they intend to export them to said allies. That would be a REALLY bad signal to send to Russia and China.
Bit of both I'd say. As >>30021905 said we don't exactly share strategic bombers because of MAD and such. That said, it might also be NG learning that too many chefs in the kitchen make a shitty meal.. or plane.
Does anyone else feel like this would be an awkward knife to own having never served in the USMC?
I would feel unworthy to have a knaifu that says USMC on it because I never served.
>>30021849
yeah you'd basically be a huge faggot
>>30021849
I collect cool military surplus. I've got an old USN ka-bar from the 70's. I wouldn't go out of my way to get a modern one though.
I'd like them more if they had a full tang.
Does .45 ever make sense for a ccw? Or is it just unnecessarily fat/expensive?
Used to carry my 1911 with no problem
>>30021825
It works fine. Especially if you use Speer's 200 grain "flying ashtray" +p load.
Other calibers offer better capacity, of course, but if you choose to carry a single stack pistol, or live in a state with restrictions on magazine capacity, then why not?
Eh, not sure.
9mm is alright, bare minimum.
Personally I would like a 357.mag with high capacity.
I carry a 9mm CM9. No extra mag. I live in a duty to retreat state. The glock 36 looks tasty.
Has anyone here shot or held this? If so, what was you experience? What did you like? Dislike?
>also German weapons thread
did the germans actually use this in WWII against the french?
