If you could give an Allied soldier one weapon from the 21st century, what would it be?
HARD MODE: It can't be an AR-15.

Hot damn those guns look beautiful but they seem way to pricey for a .356 wheelgun.
>>30043257
eddie eagle?
Wasn't there an alloy revolver awhile back being imported through someone that was made by them. .357 with mixed reviews about using that or .38special because of the frames strength?
Are there any military roles the get issued SBR's instead of M16 and M4?
The m4 is an sbr dumb ass
>>30043244
Okay, sorry.
Yeah I've seen Navy EOD with them. I know what you meant by SBR, way shorter than an M4
I don't know what they're saying but there is a ton of great flying footage going on here.

Is a coach gun viable for home defense?
>>30043048
yes, idk why you even have to ask
>>30043048
Better than no gun.
>>30043048
Viable? Yes. Preferred? No. 12 gauge anything is kick ass for home defense, so I'd still probably prefer that to a handgun, but you'd be much better off with a pump action or semi auto shotgun.
Sup /k/
I’ve got a Jianshe Arsenal /26\ SKS in Calgary
Problem
The gun wont chamber, if you look at the cartridge photo it will not fit past the bottle neck as the camber has become too small. It’s as if heat has made the chamber shrink.
At first I thought a ripped off casing head was stuck inside, no.
Then, that the bore/chamber/chrome-rifling-liner had shifted internally from the barrel, no, as that ring mark you see is thicker all the way around, not just one portion.
I’ve been trying to find not a stripping schematic, but rather a factory schematic of the barrel, to see what the portion of the chamber is directly in front of the doughnut/nut-hole that leads bullet tips in.
Background.
Gun is built in 1971.
Used brand new for the past 2 years, 4000 rounds.
We were having continuous shooting at a cinema range (ie it was getting really hot) the gun began to fail ejection a few times, then tight complete ejection jams (chamber shrinking??), and finally fail to chamber.

Take it to a gun smith, /k/ is incompetent when it comes to this kinda stuff.
This is me. Unequivocally me. No other operator can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This operator could not possibly be anymore me. It’s me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this operator is me. This operator is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this operator is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this operator side by side, you’d see no difference. I can safely look at this operator every day and say “Yup, that’s me”. I can practically see this operatorn every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this operator. I chuckle softly as I’m assured everyday this operator is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I’ve found my identity with this operator and I know my place in this world. It’s really quite funny how similar this operator is to me, it’s almost like we’re identical twins. When I first saw this operator, I had an existential crisis. What if this operator was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this operator actual became aware of my existence? Did this operator have the ability to become self aware itself?
>>30042735
My guess is that you significantly fatter than the operator, are in much worse shape, and would likely soil yourself several times in a gun fight.
But dream on /k/ommando, dream on.

You bring your family out deep into the forest, you establish a small house and farm.
After a few weeks a fucking witch starts fucking around with your shit.
She steals one of your babies, she curses your crops, etc etc.
How do you mount a defense ?
All you have is a musket, some powder, and a few knives and axes.
You, as the head of the family have to fight off this God damn witch.
Witch powers:
Takes the form of animals
Can fly
Can transform into a beautiful woman
Potential night vision
Tends to be more active at night and during twilight
>>30042662
Make Claymore like mines and set them off when witch comes near. Rub white ash on musket ball incase witch is a skinwalker.
>transform into a beautiful woman
Offer her threesomes to stop cursing us.
White ash, salted buckshot, crosses etc. And if that doesn't work, burn down the wilderness around her so no one can have it. That's right, I'm taking my ball and heading to Virginia where I can grow tobacco and fuck slaves
>interesting/unique firearms you own
A guy sold me this today, it's a Ithaca LSA-55, made by tikka. It's a O/U 12 gauge and .222 Remington.

It's in the guide rod of a p226 ...

>I am talking about laser that doesn't require rails
Alright since you type like a dyslexic nigger, I'll break it down for your simple mind. Still with me, nigger? The light has a laser and you can get a rail adapter for a P226. As a matter of fact, I have one on order for my German P226 to put a Surefire on it. The X400 has a laser.
You little stupid nigger.

Quality thread OP.
>wanting to pay more for the gun thanks to more expensive factory sights, when most people change them out for their favorite flavor anyways
no thanks op
keep the bucket sights if you want, they're fine
>>30042317
You don't need to change them out. They do work fine and won't break as long as you're not dropping your gun on rocks.
There are some guns where you really do need to change out the sights as soon as you buy it, though. The Walther PPQ, for example, has a rear sight notch which is both too shallow and too wide to use comfortably.
I'd like to pick up a revolver to play around in Stock Service Revolver. I've owned some in the past (LCR, j-frame) but never a full-size revolver. I'd like something with a 3-4" barrel, 357.
From low to high here are the pistols I'm considering
>EAA Windicator
>Rossi 357
>GP100 Wiley Clapp
>S&W 586
The EAA and Rossi are super cheap which makes me think they're junk. The S&W is more than I would really like to spend on a purchase like this, which makes me lean heavily towards the GP100. Any pro-tips on finding a full size revolver would be appreciated.
I vote 586
>>30042254
ruger security six nigger
>>30042254
The EAAs are actually pretty okay. Not amazing by any means, but definitely usable. They are much better than Rossi in my experience, though I have never shot a Rossi for a great many rounds.
The EAA is made by Weihrauch of Germany, who makes Beeman air guns for the US market.
That said, the Ruger and S&W are still much better guns. I would buy a S&W over a Ruger for a recreational status symbol, though for hunting (my use for revolvers) I prefer a Ruger due to cost.
Why hasn't anyone made a good 9mm bullpup carbine yet?
For whatever reason the firearms community is obsessed with super compact PCCs right now. Make one with sleek looks, ambi controls, and a $1200 msrp and people will fall over each other trying to get hold of it.
>>30042153
No one wants to shoot an anemic round.
