Could a MBT sink a modern aircraft carrier? Or is the superstructure too thick/tough for the round to penetrate?
Ignore the fact that a mbt would never get within firing range or that it would get aniliated by aircraft before the carrier drifted that close to shore.
>>30031231
>Could a MBT sink a modern aircraft carrier?
If it had unlimited ammunition and unlimited time, yes.
>>30031238
Develop your hypothesis
>>30031231
Depends on how fast the MBT is moving when it hits the carrier.
Hey k, long time nogunz lurker here, turning twenty one in August, I'm looking for some suggestions on my first handgun, for conceal carry. I'm pretty much set on a ten millimeter, because Missouri has lots of meth heads and
>stopping powah
Anyway, I was thinking I just wanted a glock because they're supposed to be reliable, but I'm open to suggestions. What is the best 10 millimeter for conceal carry? Oh, and I'd like to spend less than 1600 buckaroos.
Pic unrelated
Glock 10 mm all the way. I want to get a 20 for cc to upgrade my 17.
Have you seen the price of 10MM? Nevermind the fact that 9MM has been killing Jews and gypsies fine for a long time, but 9MM is a he'll of a lot cheaper. This equates to more practice time, and thus proficiency. Putting rounds on the target and in vital areas is more important than "I GOT A BYG DICK" one round takedown which you will probably miss in the heat of the moment anyways.
Also, form factor is another good point. The best gun to carry is one you will carry every day. If you got this full sized gun you eventually get tired of having this weight strapped to your side, unless you are a ham planet. I'd rather have a .380 pocket gun ill carry every day rather than a full sized gun I won't / can't carry every day. Crime doesn't take a brake when you decide you don't feel like carrying.
Cpt Daniel Glenn of the US navy has finished a monumental task - a half marathon in full EOD gear (that is, 38.5kg worth of bulky clothing).
Damn...
>>30031133
How long did it take?
wow
so amazing
So this is what peacetime military is up to. Whatever can pass the time, right?
Lloyd Scott ran the full 26 mile london marathon in nearly 100lbs of plate armour, while towing a 200lb sculture of a dragon behind him.
and raised 1.8 million pounds / 2.6 million dollars for charity in doing so.
Hi /k/. I don't mean this in a fedora way, but I'm not sure if I like semi autos. The reason I make this thread is because I'm really curious to see if anybody else feels the same way.
I can pull the trigger repeatedly on a semi auto, but it just isn't that fun. I'm starting to figure out about myself that my main draw to shooting itself, is the processes involved...that explains why I like single shots and bolt actions so much. I'm thinking I'd like BP shooting if I tried it, cos of all the work involved with that.
Who else feels this way?
>>30031096
You like the mechanical action of shooting. I like shooting in general
>>30031096
I do feel that way too but to a lesser extent. I love my semi-autos to bits but I prefer my bolt actions. I kinda want to get a lever action for the same reason.
>>30031096
Are you just blasting away ammo? That gets old quick.
I got a shot timer and some 12x20 plates and its alot of fun doing different drills, sidearm stuff too
I always have my backpack on me, in my car, or at my desk at work... I'm pretty much always within 100 feet of it

Is it really worth the extra $1,000, /k/? I really want one, but I'm finding it hard to justify the price. I just got a bonus but it's still a lot of money.
>>30030422
Just get a USP 45. If it was good enough for Vincent it's good enough for you too.
>>30030427
But Solid Snake had a Mk23. And just the overall cool factor. I wanted to get a new gun with my bonus but this would be the most I've ever spent on a handgun.
>>30030452
See if you can hold or try both out at a range first. See of its worth the extra for the MK 23 after that.
Thread got derailed last night...
Pump action or SA for a HD shotgun?

Pump action or Single action shotgun?
Who the hell would want to use a single action shotgun?
You already have a disadvantage with low ammo capacity with most shotguns, why on earth would you limit yourself further with a single shot? Is it because you want to be special? Are you worried the criminal might judge you to be uncool?
This wont pull them out of bankruptcy, but it's good to see colt doing something different. Now all the y need to do is make the python again...

Honestly amazed they were able to recognize the widespread demand for retro ARs considering how absolutely inept they've been in keeping up with the wants and needs of the civilian market
>looking at you, 1908 Hammerless 'reproduction'
We'll see how close they keep to the original.
>>30030212
Looks like they're doing a good job so far.
>>30030225
It's usually the little things, like the firing selector and dust cover. The FH appears to be a three-prong (maybe it's just the meh-quality pic), which should be a cage hider, but it's not like that isn't hard to replace. Again, we'll see.
Is a bayonet a good idea for a home defend?
Yes, you can stab and shoot from a difference
>>30029769
Distance
No, makes the weapon longer then it would have to be.
Right.
Lets face it, every one of us got something we can't afford. Be it a gun, mortgage or hit on THE president.
So dream on. what would you get or do if you had unlimited funds/ power.
If you have gained your dreams, please do post them and feel no shame.
Whatever you post, there will be some massively jelly person wishing he could have your papermache shiv in order to escape the reality.
>>30029747
as op, if you missed the obvious I kinda want few boxes of 9×39mm merely to see if there is any magic on the caliber.
>>30029747
>what would you get or do if you had unlimited funds/ power
>set up a micronation devoted to small arms production
>churn out slavshit clones until the market implodes
>start producing civilian models of Korobov's beautiful abominations
>have the Ruskies and Chinese funnel their arms to us so we can rebrand and sell them, effectively circumventing the import bans
I wouldn't do anything major, that's for sure.
>>30029805
You missed chechenia by a decade or so, but if you get some funding, we shall have fun.
Why?

What kind of knife do you carry, /k/?
I've been really looking into what I want to take with me on a daily basis, but I've found that I'm quite picky. I don't want anything too thick to be in my pocket all the time, otherwise I've been looking at the Skeletool CX or the Swiss Trekker knife.
Recently I've taken to looking at the Buck Vantage, seems like a nice looking knife for an affordable price.
You guys got any opinions?
>Tfw I fell for the al Mar meme
Still a good knife
Samefagging yes but vantage is fine, watch nutnfancys video on it if you've got a high autism tolerance and 45 minutes to spare
I carry a Gerber Suspension multi-tool
Done great by me for 10 years
How are you going to defend against gun confiscation, /k/? What's your plan. The government has JETS and TANKS. What are you going to do against a JET or a TANK when they come to take your guns?
shit in my hand and throw it at the intake while screaming shall not be etc
>>30029501
But they have TANKS
>>30029532
climb inside the TANK and smear feces on all the controls, thus grossing out everyone inside, preventing them from operating the TANK.
