I just got this yesterday, what optics would be decent for 300-500 Yards?
>>30227772
how much cash do you have for an optic?
>Lewd Edition
I can do that. About as simple as simple gets.

Not really useful in battle, but he's remarkably easy to fit into a magazine pouch.
So /k/, How good do you think the Estonian army?

>>30223235
I'd say about 9/10.
>>30223235
I like that camo pattern and their flag looks nice.
>>30223235
as a Finn, I like and respect the military of our "little brethren" down South. The fact that they have an active militia on top is also pretty badass.
The way how they've mixed old and new, Slavshit and Nato-toys, also gets my /k/ock hard.
tl;dr: 10/10, would remove Vodka with.
did I do good with my new EDC knife?
also, show yours ITT (please)
fantastic choice anon

Any good recoil-compensating flash-hiders for an AK-47?
DYEL Faggot
>>30294245
Not really. You're either going to have really good flashhiders or really good muzzle brakes
>>30294275
There's some good inbetweens, I forgot their names but they're out there.
As for OP, get a 74 brake if muzzle flash isn't a huge deal for you.
First time rifle buyer here.
Looking for US made AK variant. Please help me out, I don't wanna miss out now that our leaders have gone mental.
>>30293670
you don't want a us made one unless you're talking about a kit build. get a wasr or an amd
>>30293670
why the hell do you want a US made AK?
C39v2 is the only option if you want U.S made. If you want real quality, get an Arsenal 107.
Avoid RAS47 and NPAP
What is the role of a main battery on a modern frigate/destroyer/cruiser? Is it just there like how they have guns on fighter jets just in case?
Pretty sure they can engage all forms of targets to shore targets, aircraft, incoming missiles, light craft, and full size enemy vessels.
Pretty good backup if missiles and other counter measures fail.
>>30293334
Yeah, though a 25mm autocannon isnt going to do dick-diddly-squat against anything larger than a small frigate.
Also, it isnt going to engage missiles. If counter measures fail, you arent going to have enough time to bring the gun onto target, and it isnt going to be able to hit it even if you had that time.
It probably wouldnt have the ammo type or the targeting system integration, nor the traverse speed to engage aircraft. Maybe a heli if they aim it manually.
Shit will fuck up a rubber dingy though :D
It would be pretty embarassing if they ever had to fire a cruise missile at some third world nigger's raft in self defense. It's either that or running away.
They'd both make great title in the news.
The cannon is for those niche cases

>150,000 people want to take away guns from over one million people.
Well, they've done it before but I don't see it happening unless Clinton wins.

>>30293337
And unfortunately a big part of that 1 million is more than happy to give up their rights since terrorism is the higher priority.
Hey, found this in a pawn shop for $450.
The fuck is it, and is it worth it?
>>30293008
It's a pocket pistol and probably not. The timing is probably shit.
>>30293008
kinda looks like a Schofield. Kinda.
where the fuck is the trigger?
>>30293032
I'm fairly sure it's a Smith and Wesson, judging by the S&W on the upper part of the grips.
And the trigger is the little nub on the bottom of it. It's a break top revolver.
/k/ I'm looking into purchasing a Glock 17. I need a black semi-auto full-sized pistol that can take some abuse. Not looking to upgrade it like my other guns. I currently own some M&P's but one is my CCW gun and the other is FDE which is good for SHTF and home defense but isn't gonna fly right now.
I'm not a glock fanboy but I need a gun that I don't care much about that is reliable, able to take abuse, and is full sized in case I need it. So...hows the trigger? How are the sights? Is the grip angle significantly different than an M&P and will it make practicing harder? Any other options that meet my needs (besides a black M&P...I don't need another although I like them).
>>30292447
>So...hows the trigger?
Feels nicer than the pivot trigger on the M&P.
> How are the sights?
The stock ones are plastic and generally regarded as pretty shot
> Is the grip angle significantly different than an M&P and will it make practicing harder?
The glock feels more upright in my hand if that makes sense. Go to any gunshop because they will all have a glock 17
>Any other options that meet my needs
USP
P320
Steyr M9A1
The glock is a good choice but I have some essential upgrades (reversible) that I do to all of mine:
>Night sights
>3.5lb connector
>Extended slide release
>Extended mag release (on gen 3)
>+2 baseplates
Dont do anything dumb like porting the slide or stippling the grip.
>>30292494
Night sights are possible later as I have them on my other guns but I really don't plan on putting much into a gun I'm going to be abusing.
>>30292521
3.5lb connector, extended release and +2 baseplates is around $40
I live in California and want to buy an AR15. Any suggestions? I know the fact that I live in CA really screws me.
>>30292350
Get a CA compliant AR-15
Wood stock. Black color makes it illegal.
>>30292362
Do you have any suggestions as to which model/manufacturer would be good?
Has the US Navy ever lost a ship to an enemy navy?
>what is world war 2
>>30292323
most of the ships the Navy lost in WW2 were to enemy airpower
>>30292308
usn lost to a underwater mountain once
There used to be a comic / graphic novel type of picture floating around on here about AKs and long lasting survival. It was super hero comic style and had the story of an AK's life where it is used by soldiers and ultimately dug out of the mud and used by an african kid.
I can't find it to save my life via google, does anyone have this or know what I'm talking about?
It may have been related to "an unknown soldier in an unknown war" but I'm not sure. Style was definitely similar.
>>30291714
I know what you mean, but I can't remember it. It did feature the unknown soldier at the end of the comic
One more bump...
It may be "A brief history of the AK47" from #21 of Unknown Soldier. Wish I could find it to confirm.
