What plate carrier do you run /k/ommandos?
EI RRV w/ rear plate carrier is what I personally run but it's time for an upgrade.

$550 Block 2 upper with proper Colt SOCOM profile barrel.
Just got her in the mail, still cleaning the cosmo off.

Yes. AR's really are boring to shoot.
Hey /k/unts what are your thougts about Talon Grip Tape? Are They really worth 40 bucks?
>>33093693
Where the fuck are you getting $40 from?
You probably don't have a gun anyway so I wouldn't worry about it
>>33093693
Talon grip tape is less than $20 shipped. I have had it on my EDC G17 for 2+ years now and it's great. Also rubber > sand paper.
Ok one serious reply - thanks for that. In the third reich You have to Import them... but the 40 bucks are no Problem. Your Mother pays me good.
Also why the hell would a no fun guy ask such a question?
I want to get a pistol but am left handed and have small hands so I am pretty limited in choice. I don't want to really spend the money for a metal framed ambi DA/SA, so I am stuck with striker fired. I don't have any interest at all with polymer striker fired stuff so I would like to just get something of good quality that isn't ridiculously expensive and has some parts availability incase something breaks.
I've looked at the vp9 and it was nice, but I don't really want to have to wait around for months for one of the 3 mag/nightsight specials.
I haven't looked at a SD9VE in person, but it seems to have a lot going for it.
>Made in the US by a reputable manufacturer
>Mags are reasonably priced in the low $20's vs getting raped by $45 euro poor hk/fn/walther mags
>can be found for $260-$270 all day online
>2 mags included
>good record of reliability
I hear the trigger isn't great, but its not huge deal for me, worst case I could get the apex trigger spring kit.
Is there any reason not to buy one?
>>33093516
Basically you're a poorfag kike and don't ant to spend good money on a good product. If you're gonna go cheap, do it right.
Get a Polish P64 for like $200, spend the rest on ammo, mags, holsters, whatever. Easy to carry and it'll hold you over until you man up and buy something worth a shit.
>>33093516
I've shot the sd9 a few times, it gets a lot of hate but it is a decent pistol. The trigger has a lot of creep but I heard that spring kit fixes that. It's lightweight, and comfortable in your hand. It is a polymer striker fired gun so I don't know why you put you arn't looking for one.
>>33093516
SD9 is g2g, don't listen to poorfriends like >>33093614.
This guy is correct
>>33093671
Sping kit from apex makes a world of difference, but the pistol is fine without it.
>right now your guns are pointed at the wall or the ceiling and you don't intend to destroy any of them
Gun safety rules are all retarded except trigger discipline. Prove me wrong.
I guess being drop safe could be an issue you didn't mention.
Still I'd be uncomfortable with someone flagging me, good trigger discipline or not.
2/10, made me reply but I sage'd so fuck you.
>>33093422
The safety rules are designed so that so long as you follow a couple, no one should get hurt if an accident happens
>>33093422
>Always assume a firearm is loaded until you have physically and visually inspected it yourself
You have no idea how many times people bring their guns into work (work at a gun store), and there's a round in the chamber.

How did the AR-10 not get adopted as a service rifle by anyone? I understand it was too late to beat out the M14 for the US, but it was a great, revolutionary rifle. What went wrong?
A barrel.

The BATFE is, quite frankly, the worst federal entity. Not because they want to shit on my hobby either. No, they legitimately have one of the worst and most embarrassing track records of any law enforcement organization in US history.
How can ANYONE take them seriously after all of the bullshit failure?

Update on my DD5V1
>BHO doesn't work with Lancer 25rd
>FTF all over the place
>MKE ammo does not cycle at all
>Suppressed accuracy was poor
Got it back from DD today. Service was prompt and courteous. Gave me new bolt carrier and possibly bolt, and the L7 mag now locks open. Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet. Will report back.
Welcome to the ar-10 my friend
>>33092853
the issues that you had sound like an out of spec bolt. ZQI cycles well in just about everything so I would try again now.
Also the lancer mags look weird as fuck in 308.
My "gucci" disappointment story

Shooting little kittens that are saying "I <3 U" seems way more disturbed than shooting a blank silhouette.
Gotta make your targets look like niggers to enhance training realism

Why has the dailymail started reporting American news.
Is it because the UK has got tired of their farcical tabloids?
What does /k/ use in there guns? I only use G2 Research R.I.P. hollow points. Yeah its expensive, but my life is worth it, I only buy the best!
I use critical defense, but I'm going to be swapping to Federal HST shortly. For both 9mm and .380
>>33091996
Another vote for Critical Defense in 9mm.
Federal HST 230gr JHP in my USPs, getting the same for my 9mm P01.
