Enjoy your obsolete barrel treatment and shit accuracy you cave man
10/10 quality thread.
Before this gets buried is there a way to easily tell if a barrel is chrome lined? I got an l1a1 parts kit build and have no idea. All of my other rifles are lined because I hate cleaning barrels.
What is the absolute hands down best ammunition for self defense in 9mm?
Something that won't go through a wall and kill someone in their living room across the street. Yet will still obliterate an attacker's insides so they drop as quickly as biologically possible.

Americans, and their faggy cardboard houses.
Why cant you build houses from bricks & concrete like people in civilized, European countries?
the frick is she holding?
My understanding is that it's a M1 Carbine underneath all that shit. The SLA were mall ninjas before mall ninjas were even a thing. IIRC they also dropped fire control parts from M2 Carbines in them so they would run full auto.
Fun Fact: during the final shootout with the SLA, the police used a handful of MP-40s. Stumbled across the police report a few years back and wat'd pretty hard.
The mag is the give away that its a m-1.
Short-barreled M1 Carbine, almost certainly made by Universal.
I have seen a lot of times that the first shoot out of a suppressor is louder than the rest. Some say it is because there is oxygen in the can in the beginning.
Do you know any non specialty liquids that evaporates and pushes the oxygen out?
Only things I've ever heard of putting in a suppressor is water and wire pulling gel
>>33100071
use pic related
cleans the oxygen right out of your suppressor
hence the name
also makes a refreshing drink for long shooting sessions
Use argon.

>wants to "operate"
>doesn't want military training or experience
>assuming the military just sits people down the moment they recruit them for 3+ years to do nothing
You don't deserve to "operate" desu
All jokes aside, should dangerous game hunting be legal? Should society accept it?
>>33099863
why is it ok to kill hundreds of thousands of cows but it's bad to kill a single cape buffalo
>>33100001
Because cows are not endangered. Neither are Cape buffalo, but lions, hippos, rhinos, elephants, and leopards are.
>>33099863
People who bitch about it don't know what it implies.
Hunters are the biggest contributions to animal conservation bar none, especially in these poor shitholes where a hunting safari costs thousands of dollars.
>fighting war with soft points is illegal because it's "inhumane"
>hunting with FMJ is illegal in some jurisdictions and heavily discouraged everywhere because it's "inhumane"
Well which is it?
>>33099374
Hunting=killing
War=injuring
Basicly this
>>33099374
>you can only shoot an enemy with one bullet
>>33099400
Wait. So we're supposed to injure enemy soldiers but not kill them?
Welp, that's that.

The screws are tightened even further, not long till they simply outright remove the ability to get a license.
What the fucking hell? Why do these stupid cunts think they need to squeeze the laws even tighter?
Fuck this country.

Just a few days ago I e-mailed my federal MP (Liberal) saying that this whole Alder debarcle is a joke and the incremental destruction of firearms "privileges" in this country has no mandate, is pointless in the effort to reduce crime and does nothing for public safety. He responded by saying that he's also a shooter, "understands why I feel that way", that LAFO's shouldn't be punished for their hobby and he would bring it up with Turnbull in his next meeting.
I mean in all likelihood the response was written by a 19 yearold intern but it did feel gratifying to atleast pipe up and let the cunts know what you think. I'd encourage everyone here who thinks these ever tightening laws are fucked to do the same, e-mail your state and federal members. Most members will have a "contact me" button on their website so it does not take much effort at all.
Supporting the LDP, Shooters Union and FOU is good but they'll be written off as "fringe elements" unless we all get up and demonstrate that we care.

Wish I still had the email I sent about the same issue to my local representative (Labor).
In essence, it was 'yeah we hate Tony Abbott too but we feel that as technology updates so does the legislation.'
Deeply disappointing but I was really naive to get any other response.
Being a cheapfag I figure I'm gonna buy from a pawn shop for my next gun. Any tips or warnings when it comes to buying used guns?
>>33098584
What are you going to buy?
>>33098584
1. haggle
2. check condition
3. haggle more
4. double check condition
5. understand that some white trash or nigger likely pawned it in
6. haggle
7. buy
>>33098584
I bought my M48 from a pawn shop.
My advice would be to inspect as much as you can.
how many bows have y'all made?
wanna build a nice bow, need inspo
Made one in highschool but it snapped instantly idk why
>>33098003
My dad recently made 3 PVC bows.
One he had done but messed up while trying to get fancy with it.
He made a recurve one that has probably a 35lb draw weight in a day.
And he made a long bow one that is around 40lb draw.
Both the recurve and long bow shoot pretty well. After a few warm up shoots I was hitting the targets almost every time.
All that said he has no experience making bows and did several things wrong cause he didnt know better. If you do research and take your time, you should be able to make a reasonable bow easily enough.
>>33098003
If you know how, Godspeed. I have a Bear recurve that I like to shoot but I haven't the foggiest idea about actually making one.
Who else hyped?

Will they also be giving the kids dolls of German women and children to brutally rape to death to finish off the full Soviet Experience?

ITT. /k/ gets an aircraft carrier.
Roll singles, you are a crewman. Roll dubs, you are an officer. Roll trips and you are Admiral Nugget Nutbutter.
The carrier comes with two F15s to start, and we can eventually get better jets. We will also have an arsenal consisting of whatever you have in your gun locker right now. We can commandeer other ships.
>>33097268
I'm an aviation mechanic, only helicopters, can I just transfer to the f15s?
Don't forget the cooks.
>>33097288
With those dubs, yes.
Is nerf still /k/ approved? If so rate my CA/NY illegal blaster.

What's the minimum number of magazines one should own for a pistol?
How much is too much?
>>33096832
I say 5 for handguns. The reasonable amount and also minimum amount.
minimum 5, more if you are a high volume shooter.
>>33096832
