Before this gets buried is there a way to easily tell if a barrel is chrome lined? I got an l1a1 parts kit build and have no idea. All of my other rifles are lined because I hate cleaning barrels.

My understanding is that it's a M1 Carbine underneath all that shit. The SLA were mall ninjas before mall ninjas were even a thing. IIRC they also dropped fire control parts from M2 Carbines in them so they would run full auto.

Fun Fact: during the final shootout with the SLA, the police used a handful of MP-40s. Stumbled across the police report a few years back and wat'd pretty hard.

Just a few days ago I e-mailed my federal MP (Liberal) saying that this whole Alder debarcle is a joke and the incremental destruction of firearms "privileges" in this country has no mandate, is pointless in the effort to reduce crime and does nothing for public safety. He responded by saying that he's also a shooter, "understands why I feel that way", that LAFO's shouldn't be punished for their hobby and he would bring it up with Turnbull in his next meeting.

I mean in all likelihood the response was written by a 19 yearold intern but it did feel gratifying to atleast pipe up and let the cunts know what you think. I'd encourage everyone here who thinks these ever tightening laws are fucked to do the same, e-mail your state and federal members. Most members will have a "contact me" button on their website so it does not take much effort at all.

My dad recently made 3 PVC bows.
One he had done but messed up while trying to get fancy with it.
He made a recurve one that has probably a 35lb draw weight in a day.
And he made a long bow one that is around 40lb draw.
Both the recurve and long bow shoot pretty well. After a few warm up shoots I was hitting the targets almost every time.
All that said he has no experience making bows and did several things wrong cause he didnt know better. If you do research and take your time, you should be able to make a reasonable bow easily enough.
