First off, the takedown is a totally different receiver.
Second, going with a takedown defeats the purpose of any accurization. The wobble will always be there, even adjusting the collar every single time.
Pro Tip: EVERY 10/22 IS A TAKEDOWN

hi, my strong recommendation is a shotgun. you didn't really specify if you want something for defensive purposes, or for sporting recreation or hunting but.. a remington 870 is a very good choice among a strong field of contenders for all of the above stated purposes. they can be had for a very low price tag, and can be modified for many different use cases. you can grab additional barrels at various different lengths for hunting, recreation and defense. same with ammo, a wide variety is available everywhere at very low prices

Great bolt-actions. Honestly, the whole pre-1964 thing is bullshit IMO. When Winchester became a brand in 2006 they reintroduced the controlled feed mechanism back into the design. So there's literally no difference between pre-1964 and post-2006 Model 70s anymore except the year.

Even with our cuck firearms laws, enormous fuck around for licensing, and high prices for firearms (Australia), I am now officially has guns.
I put 35 rounds through it today for a rough zero at 100 yards. It was pretty windy so the windage isn't set right just yet. I'm pretty shit, but I'm hoping after maybe 500 rounds I'll be alright.
When I've put 1000 rounds through it I'll think about my second rifle (maybe .308 or 6.5CM).
Feels good man, for real :D

Currently weighing my options, which one should I pick up and a SHTF/regular shooter rifle? I hear the MR556 is the most reliable AR currently available on the civilian market, and out preforms literally everything else. However, I do like the SCAR, and I hear they're surprisingly reliable as well. Either way, I'm probably paying for a nametag, so which one should I pick?
Leaning towards the MR556 right now. I hear it's fucking amazingly accurate.
