How would a welrod fare for home defense?
>>33105124
It would be extremely quiet

shitty, how are you going to magdump into jamal and his buddies with a single shot pistol? Where is your weapon mounted light going to go?

can anyone confirm or deny whether the p83 wanad has a trigger actuated hammer block like a makarov?
>>33104978
I think its just a hammer disconnect like the P-64
>>33106302
so i shouldn't carry it with one in the chamber?
>>33106341
no, i do it on my p-64 which has no hammer drop safety and its not a problem
Post your ww1/ww2 firearms! I'll start with this ww1 colt 1911 I just received. Made in 1913, it will fit in well with my collection.
hey /k/
Cool gun. 1911's legit.

Since the /k/tard posted this in the wrong board, lets turn this thread into a WW1\WW2 weapon pic thread, and discuss best systems to run a WW1\WW2 game.
I actually ran a WW2 game using a modified d20 (gutted spycraft) with no leveling and a very very thin point buy - it was also hyper-lethal, had rules for cover to nullify attacks, rules for suppressing fire that weren't retarded, and made things like grenades into insta-gibs if someone was in the radius, and damage if they were out-but-close.
It worked relatively well, I even implemented a rule mechanic from Twilight 2013 that gave players bonuses to rolls and saves-vs-suppression and fear if the squad was acting together and following orders (and bonuses to single PC's if they decided to go maverick\or the squad orders were retarded)
Most interesting point in the game was one of the PC's getting a sucking chest wound from a 98k rifle shot, and the other PC's rolling aid to try and help him (because medics were elsewhere), while one PC with a captured StG44 was trying desperately to suppress a panzergrenadier push so it didn't overrun their little farmshed cover position
Could you hit a six inch target at a hundred yards with your nugget while slav squatting on the back of a moving ATV?
>>33104477
No because I don't own that shit rifle.
Step it up to a 12" target, and ensure there aren't any bumps for the atv to hit, and I feel like I could do it.
>>33104477
that's nothing, one time I shot my atv at a 3 inch target at 50 yards while slav squatting on a nugget
Can you legally own a torpedo?
Without the explosive in it I'm sure you could
>>33104300
Duh, you buy them from sex stores.
Tax stamp+BAFTE fuckery=enjoy your destructive device.
You could probably get a nuke in this country if not for the sad reality that nobody who owns/produces nukes would never be stupid enough to sell to private interests.
So /k/, I was at the gun show and was wanting to get something fun to shoot at longer distances, so ends up I took a leap and bought the ruger American predator in 6mm Creedmoor. How bad did I fuck up? I should have held out and gotten a different cartridge because it's near impossible to find this round anywhere, should I deal with it? Try to trade or sell it for something else? Or become anhero?
>>33104261
I assume you mean 6.5mm Creedmoor. It's not a bad round just know youll be buying ammo mostly online unless you reload. Honestly it's a fine gun and caliber, it can reach some pretty long ranges. I wouldnt be mad.
creednoor is (not memeing here) the best long range round you could get. it's just so fucking good. read up on creedmoor and youll see why.
yes in pricey
and yes it can be hard to find but its worth it
>>33104389
>>33104601
No, 6mm creedmoor. It exists, but hard to find

He basically highlights out of context that Texaco and Ford supplied goods and oil to Spanish fascists and the Germans during the Spanish revolution.

Gun spinning.
Gay as fuck or impressive skill?
Has there ever been any footage of somebody doing tricks with a semi auto pistol and not revolvers?
>stick finger in trigger guard
>spin gun around
??
how could that go wrong

I believe there was a girl named Annie Oakley. She could shoot stuff ten yards away with her shouldering it behind her back.

Single action revolvers retard.
Momentum is mass x velocity
Kinetic energy is ½mass x velocity squared
This is why while 5.56x45 has almost as much energy as 7.62x39 it has about half of the Russian rounds recoil.
So how about we reduce the bullet weight even further from the 4g of the 5.56x45 and increase powder load? Same amount of recoil but more power.
>>33103927
Energy isn't an exact translation into terminal ballistics.
>>33103943
This. It's important, but it's not everything
>inb4 that one fag finds this thread
>>33103943
While that is true, 5.56 is pretty damn good at dumping energy and i see no reason why a bit lighter and faster bullet couldn't do the same.
So /k/, I want to get into the topic of .22 magnum as a viable self defense round. I am of the opinion that the cartridge IS in fact viable for self defense. While this would not be a viable round to take into a military action type of situation, carrying for self defense is a completely different scenario.
The .22 magnum packs a lot of kinetic energy when fired, averaging speeds of over 2000 FPS and over 300 ft-lbs (over 400 j) of energy. This makes even a 38 grain HP load very deadly.
I know this round is not as good as saw a 9mm, .45 ACP, or even a .380 round, but it still will work when needing to defend yourself from an attacker. Let's consider that most self defense shootings occur at very close range (less than 7 yards) most within point blank range. A .22 magnum round will do more than enough to stop an attacker when fired center mass (not to mention a head shot, can you say dead mugger?). I have tested both .22 LR and .22 mag on a variety of targets at close range, and the .22 Mag definitely packs a punch. While even I would rather have a 9mm or my .40 S&W, I wouldn't feel unsafe or unarmed if all I had on me was my .22 Magnum revolver.
Where do you all fall on this topic /k/?
>>33103085
Always wanted a pmr30.
>>33103097
I have a Heritage Rough Rider revolver that does both .22 LR and .22 Mag, which is what I used in testing. I fired at some 2 liter bottles filled with water, and while the .22 LR just punched holes, the .22 Mag destroyed the entire top half of it's bottle with one round. Popping an empty Java monster can produces similar results. The exit wound on the back of the can was massive.
>>33103085
Why is VX and other similar agents banned, but nukes somehow are still legal?
Cuz nukes go boom and vs gas doesn't
>>33102983
B/c a nuke will kill before the person has tme to react, and gas allows for a slow and painful death.
>>33102983
Because it's harder to make nukes, so the powers at be can keep other countries out of their club
You guys realize there's no point in "prepping" if you don't train your body too right?
You need to get used to living without food water or sleep.
The first week of the month live on 1 liter of water for 3 days, the second week live on 400 calories a day for 3 days, the third week of the month don't sleep for 3 days, then a week of recovery and repeat.
This is assuming youre already in shape, if you're not in shape at the very least then what the fuck are you doing? It's really not that hard to run. Yes the first few times you try to run you will probably only be able to go a couple minutes before you get winded, but if you keep it up and run regularly you will be able to run longer before you hit the wall, and eventually you will learn to get passed the wall. Stop spending half your paychecks on fast food and get yourself ready to be better than the rest of the people around you.
Fuck that
>wanting to become a zombie-skeleton

hmm this guy is right im better reading this
>the second week live on 400 calories a day
what the fuck are you talking about? What the point in getting shape if you let your muscles go away by starving yourself
>>33102917
Because if you seriously think you can go innawoods and still be able to maintain your comfy 4000 calories a day you will be in for a dangerous rude awakening
