I want to get me a suppressor. I am 100% aware that I will be getting it for pure novelty, so the practicality of it is not too important. However I would still want a good quality suppressor that I can use on multiple firearms. I have narrowed it down to these two

>Dead Air Wolverine (PBS-1 copy)
>SilencerCo Hybrid

I have around 15 different AK's I could use the Dead Air on, however they are not as effective as other rifle systems to suppress. If I went with the SilenceCo I only have 1 AR and 1 MR762 rifle I could use it on, however I also have a pistol (Mark 23 with its special snowflake threads) and CZ Scorpion carbine I could use it on. They both cost in the $650-$750 range. Which of these two would /k/ get?

Anybody have experience with these? It may be the most comfortable gun I've ever held. Considering buying it.

HK VP9 if you didn't know.

I've heard some not so great things about that one, that it isn't as good as other HKs. I would get the P30SK instead
>>
>>33080091
I didn't try that one. Don't think the shop had it. But it's the same frame just not striker fired, right?

I'm not attached to HK at all, by the way. /k/ just told me that the VP9 is good for small hands and I found the grip and trigger exceptionally agreeable.

http://www.nextbigfuture.com/2017/02/f-35c-getting-redesigned-wing-tips-that.html?m=1

>The outer wings of 32 carrier-based F-35C-models need to be replaced to carry the Raytheon AIM-9X Sidewinder, the aircraft’s primary dogfighting weapon. The U.S. Navy variant experienced an undisclosed amount of oscillation or turbulence during flight trials with the AIM-9X in December 2015, and Lt. Gen. Christopher Bogdan says aircraft already delivered need to be retrofitted with strengthened wings. The outer, folding portion of the wing has inadequate structural strength to support the loads induced by pylons with AIM-9X missiles during maneuvers.

>Engineers have already produced an enhanced outer wing design, which is now undergoing flight testing. The issue has impacted the timeline for fielding AIM-9X, which is being rolled out for the Navy in Block 3F. Because of a seven-year schedule delay, the fifth-generation F-35 fighter will carry air superiority missiles that are one generation behind missiles on F-18s, which are already carrying the newest AIM-9X Block II and AIM-120D.

>The missile must be delivered in time to support initial operational test and evaluation and complete the 17-year F-35 system development and demonstration phase by May 2018. The Navy, in particular, must be cleared to fly and shoot the AIM-9X to declare combat-ready status with its first squadron of F-35C Block 3F aircraft in 2018. The F-35 team is adding a moving target capability, as reported by Aviation Week on Feb. 15. There are currently no plans to install weapons capable of hitting moving and maneuvering targets, such as an insurgent driving away in a pickup truck. The F-35’s laser designator cannot lead the target, its basic inventory of late-1990s guided bombs will fall short if that target moves briskly.

This aircraft is so poorly designed that it cannot even carry missiles properly.

Recently started using a Lardy Snickers sling moving from my old MS1. Not a bad sling...nothing revolutionary. Like that it's featherweight and really like how smooth yet solid the sliding mechanism is.

Also, getting close to finishing up this belt build. Any input/suggestions /gq/?

you should only buy super rare elite bakelites from ivan at (((nugget enterprises))). don't buy from overseas because that's not kewl

But that's dumb. Seriously though, all the US based sites are selling for $15-20 more than this, even with international shipping it's cheaper.

you're paying not to wait, pretty much.

i resell stuff. some items i import from overseas. not everyone wants to wait 2-3 weeks sometimes for stuff to come in.

The Millennium Falcon vs. the Enterprise (NCC 1701-A)

Who wins?

>>33085057
Well, the two vessels will close to engagement range, Han always shoots first so the Enterprise will probably lose 90% shields and X amount of redshirts, to which Kirk will want to ram the Falcon or some shit, and while Spock is calling it highly illogical, Scotty will be giving her all shes got captain, Chewie will lose his shit and hit the hyperdrive, Kirk will try and follow the Falcon but cant make the Kessel run in X distance measurement and the entire Enterprise will be destroyed yet magically be rebuilt by the next movie, by that time Han will be in a cantina boasting about taking out a federation ship whilst some dude walks the dinosaur

My friend was cleaning his pistol, a CZ, but then he had to answer a call on the phone.

I saw the pistol was empty and just for curiosity I pulled the trigger a couple of times.

Now my friend is telling me that his pistol was damaged because I fired with it empty.

But I don't think it could possibly damage. Just think, a pistol is made of steel and has to whitstand a huge pressure from the powder. If the pistol is empty, there should be no pressure thus the gun wouldn't be under stress.

Any experts on the subject?

>>33084362
I think it depends on the pistol famalam
>>
>>33084362
depends on the gun, rim fire pins can break or can peen on the chamber mouth and start cushioning against the hardened barrel, which prevents smooth function.

specifically the CZ-52 is known for a brittle firing pin that is very easy to break. so if he had that then yes there is a chance that you broke the firing pin, because hardened steel comes in varying hardnesses and tends to be brittle rather than ductile (soft).
