I can't get any satisfaction with my AR even after dumping hundreds of dollars into it.
>>33084801
I sold mine a few months ago. Boring to shoot, clunky and uncomfortable, controls are retarded... I don't get why they're so popular. Cheap and easy to build and feed, but that's about all it has going for it.

traded in a m1903 from 1908 for a wasr cause i bought into the low serial meme. was a really nice rifle but .06 is expensive and it was my first rifle.
I've never shot a .22

Why is Canada's military shit-tier?
>>33069809
where did you hear that?
>>33069809
Because 30 millions people can hardly have the same funds as 300 millions.
And because they don't have to be good : who is ever going to invade them ?
If the USA decide to invade, Canada has no chance of victory anyway.
And if anybody else tries to invade, USA will step in to help.
So let's the burgers pay for Canada's defense with their tax dollars.
Because as far as I'm aware, it consists of a bunch of bearded men in plaid jackets running out of the woods with axes.
why is .223 wylde a thing when 5.56 barrels can fire both safely?
also are hollowpoint commercial 5.56 loads a thing?
>>33066461
.223 wylde is not just about using both rounds, it is about using more kinds of round with better accuracy. Higher grain bullets, etc.
>>33066461
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.223_Wylde_chamber
>>33066461
Dimensions inbetween .223 rem and 5.56nato chambers. So basically better precision potential of a .223 rem chamber , but can dafely fire 5.56.
And no there is no NATO hollow point ammo

I'd like to know where to get pants and boots like these though.
Going to take the Illinois CCW class this weekend with my dad! Saturday & Sunday 9am-5pm.
What can I expect? What is the turnaround time when I get my permit?
and general Illinois thread.
>we have the most dangerous city in the world in our state, lets make carrying a firearm only for the middle-upper to upper class
Half a G just to be able to protect myself?
Fuck Illinois.
>>33100717
I live in IL, an I just carry anyway.
Waiting for Trump to pass nation wide CCW so I can get an out of state permit so i don't have to give IL my money and time.
>>33100717
$10 FOID + $200 class + $150 fee to Ilinois = $360
I'm guessing it's one of the most expensive shall issue states
Is that a comeback I see on the horizon?

Everytime I see New Jersey's two boxes on the side of its conning tower I think of sideways breasts.
I probably put a gun to my head once a week. Just to know I have my own life in my hands, to feel in control. Sometimes its the only time I do feel in control. I don't know if I could ever pull the trigger, but there are days I feel like its the best choice I could make.
If this is just trolling it's not funny in the least.
If this is serious, all's I can say is you definitely aren't fit to own a firearm and you need serious help
>>33097276
I think about it sometimes but I care too much about my fellow /k/ommandos and guns in general to use a gun for it.
Truth is there's still a shred of hope in me that I might be able to square my life away and raise a family like I've always dreamed of

Tbh I have no idea how I fucking lost it. I field stripped at the spot I was at to give it a quick cleaning and let everything cool off because it started snowing heavy and we needed to get out quick. Everything went back together fine, I get home to give it a better cleaning and boom no retainer. It's probably not even at the shooting spot, it's probably in my house somewhere but for the life of me I can't find it
I'll probably find it now that I have a new one, knowing my luck
>>33091463
Cool. Well at least you're back in action now.
Can we have a thread for Arizonafags? I had a few questions about gun ownership here, and a general discussion thread would be cool.
I'm about to be a new gun owner and from my research I'm pretty sure I don't need any kind of permits to have a gun right? I'm 25 years old so I'm above the age requirements for both OC and CC. I checked the NRA website for state by state laws and as far as I could tell I didn't need anything unless I was going to take my gun out of state (in which case it falls under the jurisdiction of the state I enter, correct?)
Also, where do I go if I want to shoot inna-desert?

Correct

Correct
>Also, where do I go if I want to shoot inna-desert?
Easiest bet is to find BLM land near you but anywhere far enough to not be heard is usually fine.
Stay of the Indian Reservations unless you want to end up killing a res cop.
You live in possibly the best state for gun laws. You don't need a permit, you just have to be able to pass a background check if you want a gun from a gun store. Private sales just require you to both be residents of the same state. Go to a gun store where you can try lots of guns out. Find one you like, buy it and a shit ton of ammo and practice practice practice
>>33083336
>Go to a gun store where you can try lots of guns out.
I'm actually about to put in an order for an M&P sport to be sent to a local gun store, but before I do, do you know of any in the Phoenix area that might price match an online price (or at least price match + the FFL fee) ? if I can get it today I'd be extra happy. I'm not sure if that's really a thing among gun stores though.
>>33083331
>Easiest bet is to find BLM land near you but anywhere far enough to not be heard is usually fine.
Yeah I saw the BLM website says it's cool as long as I practice the right safety procedures (have a berm, etc) but I was wondering if anyone was aware of any spots specifically near Phoenix
Is it woth it?
Yes.
Just be smart and don't get ripped off.
>>33081632
Yes, absolutely.
It's not even that expensive.
>>33081632
No. Not trying to shit on HK, they're my favorite manufacturer, but that is probably one of the more overrated guns I can think of
>inb4 /k/ just hates on shit it can't afford
I've heard from several owners that it's the favorite gun. I've handled one, it just wasn't for me. I'm sure it's the best polymer gun out there, but personally I don't see anything jaw dropping about it to boast a grand price tag
If I was going to get a polymer gun I'd get one of those steyrs.
Well, lets fix that. Post em' boys and gals
>>33062842
Daily reminder that if you're shooting trap and have a semi-auto gun, pls make sure your ejection trajectory isn't directly into the bloke next to you. Shit is irritating to have to dodge a flying object right as you're about to take your turn.

Has anyone ever had problems with their glass fogging up as soon as you walk outside in humid weather? I want an MRO with some good BUIS, but with my experience so far my glass has always fogged up immediately. That isn't too good for SHTF, have you /k/ommandos ever had a problem with this as well?
>>33100005
Never had this problem, be careful what you use to clean your optics. Always use a proper lens cloth, anything harsher will murder the anti-fog coating.
>>33100213
I'm assuming I must have done something like that to my old optic then, For context the old optic was a Strike Eagle. I didn't know if the anti-fog thing was strictly the gas purging for the internal or if it was external as well.
>>33100246
when it says sealed and gas purged it means the inside of the sight has been filled with nitrogen and permanently sealed
This keeps fog from forming up on the internals of the optic, which would be particularly bad.
Anti fog coating keeps fog from forming up on the outside surfaces of the lenses.
