I hold a non-research graduate degree. For I-fucked-up-my-life reasons, I am strongly considering joining a branch of the US military. I hear from various friends who serve that my elite edumacation will make me an officer.
Which branch should I choose and why?
Which will be the most interesting?
Which will be the least miserable?
Which will be the best in hindsight when I have to go be a civilian again?
>Which branch should I choose and why?
Army because least amount of batshit retarded bullshit.
>Which will be the most interesting?
Navy or Air Force.
>Which will be the least miserable?
Coast guard but nobody really thinks of them as military.
>Which will be the best in hindsight when I have to go be a civilian again?
Not doing it at all.

You will washout.

So you're close to graduating high school huh? Congratulations bro. You don't even know what you want to do yet, so speak to a recruiter and figure it the fuck out.

Tell me about these bullets /k/
The smaller one is assumed tungsten carbide armor piercing
And the larger is copper 50 caliber.
Is all I know about them

"Collecting" in any form is just hoarding nice things.

I'm not taking my chances on a pistol stopping or not stopping a burglar. Recommend me a good shotgun for home defense.
Please don't waste my time and yours trying to convince me otherwise - I don't want to wait until I'm 21 to own a weapon and shotguns have always been my favorite.
Thank you

How do you feel about female Chinese soldiers?
>>33130874
You'll find American GIs will rape anything female and human during wartime if I'm- I mean they're desperate enough.

gonna be great fuck toys when we finally liberate

So are the techniques and tactics John Wick uses in his films practical or is it just shilling for the TACTICOOL community?

Yeah that's not my kit, I'll openly admit my kit is limited and I'm working slowly at getting it all together, I'm the guy with the Bob for me and my wife.
So really I'm just praying shit doesn't go down any time soon.
>>33126834
Dammit forgot the picture
I've broken an army of punches trying to get this fucking roll pin out of my 92S and now I have one stuck in. It can twist and wiggle so it has room but it will not fucking come out no matter what I try, not even with two people and a vise grip. Please send help, what the fuck do I do to defeat this pin?
>>33124681
I tried drilling it out from the other side and made shit worse, roll pins are fucking shit goddamnit
>>33124681
Put in vice or on armorer block and hit it with a heavy hammer, an axe will work too. Oh make sure you soak it in some penetrating oil.
>>33124693
Thanks brother, what I've attempted so far was locking it in with a vise then smashing down on the vise with a hammer but have had no luck. I kknow breakfree CLP doesn't work that well as a penetrating oil but it soaked in that overnight and didn't affect shit
ITT: Cartridges we like for no logical reason.
I'll start.
8mm Mauser makes me hard, and is the cartridge of choice for members of the patrician class.
6.5x55 Swedish is my fap material.
6.35mm
I like my little pocket Mauser

8mm Mauser is the best full-power rifle cartridge
Can you guys explain the main differences between all the H&K pistols. I sorta want to buy a USP .45
>>33118539
do it fgt
Get a HK45
>>33118539
Get an HK45 Its like a more modern USP. It will be easier to locate and aquire parts, accessories and shit like that. Not to mention they are very similar already.
Is it a waste to buy 2 IWB holsters for the same gun?
I already have a custom holster on order but there is a good deal on a holster and mag pouch. Is it a waste to buy 2 IWB holsters?
But as many mag holders as you can comfortably conceal
>>33141791
SORTA
>>33141940
I only want one since I am carrying a usp compact
I think I'm going to go ahead and get a hybrid along with the full kydex I have ordered since it comes with a free mag pouch (which I do not have)
Just seems a little wasteful buying two holsters before I even know what I like
So this has me pondering a bit:
At the turn of the 20th century, we historically see the militaries of the world turn from service revolvers to automatic pistols (off the top of my head, I think the Swiss were the first major nation to do so with the P.04 Luger).
Many countries were skeptical of this new technology and rightfully so, many early automatic pistols offered few advantages over the established service revolver, most notably, they were finicky, complex, had terrible ergonomics and were often chambered in a much weaker cartridge than a revolver of comparable size. Of course exceptions can be made, but on the whole, it's not until WWI where automatics began being adopted in number by nations that matter.
Most notably, the British were the most hesistant to replace revolvers with automatics (the Navy did adopt the Webley & Scott automatic in small numbers), and revolvers served well through the Korean war.
Regardless, by the mid-20th century, automatics were in mass scale production and adoption. Most models even served through combat.
Why is it, then, do we see the American law enforcement officer outright refuse to adopt automatics over revolvers? Colts and S&Ws were pretty much the go-to sidearm for LEOs well into (don't quote me on this) into the late 1970s and early 1980s.
The 1911, and many other automatics, had served through two world wars and countless other conflicts.
How is it that LEOs were so stubborn to adopt the automatic when the same concerns of reliability and power of automatics were quelled nearly 50 years prior?
I don't expect this to be a fast moving thread, so I'm going to play AoE2 and check in every now and then, but I'll be here.
Also, revolver thread, I guess.
>>33141683
Because niggers didn't want cops to have automatics. Even before that they didn't want police switching from .38s to .357.
>>33141683
It's not about stubbornness, it's about the fact that civilian law enforcement have many things to deal with before they even start thinking about shootouts. Police officers rarely do any "offensive" combat - the sidearm is for self-protection and to deter scumbags looking for an easy target. It's not for conducting armed raids against armed forces.
If they wanted to be real soldiers, they could have. Civilian LEOs just that, civilians.
>>33141756
>Police officers rarely do any "offensive" combat - the sidearm is for self-protection and to deter scumbags looking for an easy target. It's not for conducting armed raids against armed forces.
sorry, should have finished that thought before posting - the point of all this isn't that cops ~should~ have an inferior weapon, it's just that getting a better weapon is so far down the list of priorities for a civilian law enforcement officer.
Im getting ready to buy my first shotgun. I am trying out for my colleges local clays team and I wanted to get my own that i could be comfortable with. I was looking though the ATF form 4473 and everything checks out except for one thing in high school I smoked pot for a little bit. I'm done and don't plan on turning back but i was wondering does that disqualify me from the question 11e. I am not currently using and do not plan on going back. 1. Am I still disqualified? 2. If I answered yes what would be the reproductions (I am qualified on every other point does that mean that that one point will make me not allowed)? and 3. If i did say no is there any way to prove I had smoked pot if it was all out of my system and there is no court evidence i ever did?
I want to buy a gun but I don't want to serve jail time.
You'll be fine. As long as you aren't still using it you can buy a gun.
>>33141233
Thats good to hear. Its not that i don't trust you but is there anywhere where it says that in a legal code?
>>33141206
What you think it means:
>If you have EVER touched that there merry juan ah you are BANNED from owning weapons! We are the government! We can test you!
What it really means:
>Are you using it daily or at least right now? Even if you are, can you hide it reasonably well? Trick question, everybody thinks they can, this part is only here to add on your fine IF you get caught doing stupid shit with your gun.
Same deal with recruitment. Kids think the doctor will sniff out the weed on your urine from six years back.
Would it be legal in the united states to shoot a white kid for trespassing onto your property and let's say jumping into your garden and destroying some of your plants? Would it be worth the 10% chance of getting a very liberal judge and going to prison for 30 years?
>>33141203
No. killing whites is counter productive.
dafuq
>>33141203
Just go down the block and take your anger/homicidal tendencies out on a nigger kid like a normal person would.
