How do I prepare for combat without ever having been in the military or law enforcement? I'm in good shape, and I'm a pretty decent marksman. However, I hate my life. I've come very close to killing myself. One person told me exactly what I needed to hear: that I'm a pussy for taking the easy way out, and that if I really want to die I should just go to Syria and die for a cause.
So that's what I'm going to do. I'm trying to get in contact with the Lions of Rojava (YPG group). Once I figure out how to get over there and everything, I'll be off. I have no family or friends, I won't be missed.
What are some tips before I head off? How do I prepare myself for war? I like to think I'll be able to hack it, but what if I just freeze up when (if) I actually get into combat?
Any tips would be helpful. I'm already planning on keeping a small revolver or something handy in case I'm in danger of capture. I won't be featured on one of ISIS's home movies.

Better hurry.
Also I have heard it is minimum of $10K just to get across the border.
YPG will either train you, or use you behind the lines. My guess would be the latter.
>>33141942
If you go to Syria with the intent to engage in war you will have your US citizenship revoked.
People who want to die make terrible soldiers

So like a one-day nuggetfest with no traps, with an entry fee, but it actually happens according to plan?
>>33142223
Yes.
The military has recruited you to design a field ration for whatever country you come from. As long as it's feasible (no baked alaska, etc.) he will figure out how to mass produce it, but you have to design the contents of the ration itself.
What do you pack into your proposed ration?
I would issue a gelatin paste that contains every nutrient and macronutrient your body needs, vanilla flavor, with bubblegum to make sure your jaw muscles don't atrophy

Why the fuck does the military need gormet meals or some shit. Just feed them whatever it takes to get the job done
COFFEE, PASTRIES, COFFEE FLAVORED PASTRIES
>>33141734
Beer (PBR or High Life), club crackers, and canned chili.
Most popular meal by a landslide.
why are they so based
is this the new Remington?
They're better than Nu-S&W and Remington, at least.
I don't want to like them but I can't stand the S&W Hillary Hole or Remington, Chiappa, and Taurus' total lack of QC. I have three Rugers and I wish I had none but they're appearently the best option.
Because they actually care about developing guns. Plenty of gun companies are owned by holding corporations like freedom group that don't give a single shit and just want to squeeze as much money out of a brand name as possible before it dies.

Because when they figure out that they could be doing largely the same job in a branch that treats its personnel better they get mad.

>>33141036
They sold it to Colt, who lawyered all over it and made questionable design changes.
If a good company like say, Ruger or Smith & Wesson were to make one, it would have the original good trigger, and it wouldn't have the same horrid durability and accuracy issues.
Alright /k/ why did the britbongs put a ramp on her
>>33141028
Something about being gay.
>>33141028
Same reson they didnt go for nuclear.
Cost.
Getting two carriers with ramps and conventional power was a better deal than ending up like France with one carrier that had a catapult and a reactor.

What is that monstrosity blocking the catobar near the front of the ship?
What is this ship....gay?
So anons, what meme round do you shoot?
Me? I fell for the 35 Remington meme. Couldn't find the Core Lokts for literally 6 years. This fall some started showing up and I purchased every single box I saw. Pic related

Hey /k/ I found this on the street today
How much does it cost, if it does cost anything?
I'd buy that for a dollar.
Does this help?
what's the most over rated gun of all time and the most under rated gun of all time and why ?
>over
AR15.
Not saying it's bad. Not even saying it isn't good. It's just not so good everyone everywhere should use it forever no matter what.
>under
FNC.
I think it's super neat. Everyone talks about the Stgw 90 when "AR AK hybrids" come up but the FNC is really good too. Sure the SIG is better but come on it costs twice as much to make and is a lot heavier.

Why couldn't a pistol cartridge be made with a bullet weight around 40-60 grains, propelled at a high enough speed to fragment and cause devastating damage to targets? Basically, why couldn't you make the pistol equivalent of 5.56?
>>33140300
Certain 5.7x28mm loads claim to do this, but it may only reliably work out of longer barrels.
>>33140334
My thought was that using something like 9x25 or even just 9mm would allow you to propel a bullet of ideal weight (compared to the puny 5.7) at 5.7 speeds.

So yeah. Those Classic Firearms H&K USP Compact LEMS that some anon thought might have RFID chips in them.
Well, they have RFID chips in them.
I don't really mind, I think it's a neat conversation, and it scares people that don't understand technology.
>>33140195
Anyone know of a reader/writer for the RFID tag that I can get commercially?
>>33140195
So, hold on.
As a fucktard, what's okay about having electronics in firearms?
I mean, Remington tried and Chiapas tried and all the guns that have had them have been kinda meh but that aside why do we not want them and is all the fear justified?
>>33140226
the RFID chip is just for cataloguing. Same idea as those datamatrix barcode stickers that people put on their guns to make it look like they have government property.
Hey /k/, could we have a compact weapons thread? I have a goruck GR1 (which leaves about 18" OAL to play with) and I'd like to see any ideas on some cool stuff you can put in there or any backpack. I'm obviously not an operator, I'm just autistic and have a thing for compact weapons. Pic related is from b&t, only 400 imported. Any compact rifle/subgun ideas would be appreciated!
Some I can think of right off the bat are the Kriss vector, mp5 or mp5k clones, scorpion evo and other sub guns. Forgot to mention I can fit my SADF chest rig and my mk18 mod 0 clone in there but I'd really like something I don't have to put together.
Not many people have them considering they're rather silly in semi auto but if the HA got repealed I'd want to get my hands on one of these babies.
