How do I prepare for combat without ever having been in the military or law enforcement? I'm in good shape, and I'm a pretty decent marksman. However, I hate my life. I've come very close to killing myself. One person told me exactly what I needed to hear: that I'm a pussy for taking the easy way out, and that if I really want to die I should just go to Syria and die for a cause.
So that's what I'm going to do. I'm trying to get in contact with the Lions of Rojava (YPG group). Once I figure out how to get over there and everything, I'll be off. I have no family or friends, I won't be missed.
What are some tips before I head off? How do I prepare myself for war? I like to think I'll be able to hack it, but what if I just freeze up when (if) I actually get into combat?
Any tips would be helpful. I'm already planning on keeping a small revolver or something handy in case I'm in danger of capture. I won't be featured on one of ISIS's home movies.

The military has recruited you to design a field ration for whatever country you come from. As long as it's feasible (no baked alaska, etc.) he will figure out how to mass produce it, but you have to design the contents of the ration itself.

They sold it to Colt, who lawyered all over it and made questionable design changes.
If a good company like say, Ruger or Smith & Wesson were to make one, it would have the original good trigger, and it wouldn't have the same horrid durability and accuracy issues.

I think it's super neat. Everyone talks about the Stgw 90 when "AR AK hybrids" come up but the FNC is really good too. Sure the SIG is better but come on it costs twice as much to make and is a lot heavier.

Why couldn't a pistol cartridge be made with a bullet weight around 40-60 grains, propelled at a high enough speed to fragment and cause devastating damage to targets? Basically, why couldn't you make the pistol equivalent of 5.56?

the RFID chip is just for cataloguing. Same idea as those datamatrix barcode stickers that people put on their guns to make it look like they have government property.

Hey /k/, could we have a compact weapons thread? I have a goruck GR1 (which leaves about 18" OAL to play with) and I'd like to see any ideas on some cool stuff you can put in there or any backpack.
