I've been told a lot of bs, but as far as I can tell it's down to officer discretion

Is that Trogdor?
You can carry your car keys. You have no right to self defense

I suggest you learn a martial art and work on your 500m sprint.

aim for its hydraulics reservoir. the faster it looses fluid and pressure the faster it will go down. so knowing this and the fact that steel will give way to high speed projectiles, i would imagine an good ballance between speed and size would take it down rather fast.
TL;DR a large rifle round moving at high speeds like a .308 with a decently hot load, possibly AP would be best.
friendly reminder tho that most hydraulic fluids are flame retardant so API would be useless for this purpose and ap would be better suited to maximize penetration.
It's my birthday, /k/. I have 30 minutes to decide!
Ruger LCP II or a Keltec P-3AT.
HELP! I like both. You guys decide. It's for summer carry.
(And I know pic related is a regular LCP.)
LCP-2

Ruger

Alright, so I need to get a nice and warm pair of work/hunting boots that I can also be fairly nimble in. I don't need hiking boots, and I don't want to look like a fudd. What do you guys wear? I've just been wearing an old pair of steel-toes, and it isn't cutting it with maneuverability and warmth. Pic related is the closest I could find to my current boots, albeit a newer version. I would ask this in /out/, but you guys have a closer mindset to what I'm looking for.
These Lowa boots are the style I am looking for, maybe you guys have these.

Redwings are more for work, but their hard toed (not steel) work boots are good and sexy to boot.
Next month I am taking a defensive shotgun class at a local range. The class requires ~600 shells and I am looking into the best way to carry a good chunk of it without resorting to constant trips back to the loading table. So far my two options are a roll up dump pouch or a chest rig like what soe puts out. I can see pros and cons for both and I was hoping /k/ could make my faggoty choice easier.
>SOE MicroRig
You'll be lucky if you get in 6 months from order. SOE is ran by a felon who puts customers on blast if they ask why its been taking months to get their order.
Take a bucket and set it next to you filled with shells
This is the SOE cop rig for half the price and no wait time

Can we all just agree the USSR was top dog in the tank world between when they rolled out the T-34 in 1940 and when they were finally dethroned by the M1 in 1980?
>>33138861
>No T-80UD
You doongoofed.
I reported you to the cyberpolice.
>>33138861
No, they had a lead with t-64, which they developed because the m60a1 scared the shit out of them, but they couldn't even mass produce those.
Up until that part they were on par with western designs.
>>33138861
Not realy.
1: The T-34 and the T-44 are medium tanks. The T-54/55 do posess all the characteristics of an MBT but in service, served allongside heavy tanks and was used as a medium tank and designated as one.
2: The T-54/55 wasnt the best tank in its day, it was the Centurion MBT.
3: The Soviets truly had the worlds best tanks starting with the T-64 and the T-72.
So your timeline would start at 1964. If you want to talk about "dethroning" by the Abrams i would wager that the T-** series was only dethroned when the M1A1 with the M256A1 120mm gun was introduced in 1986.
So an effective "reign" of 22 years instead of 40.
Can someone please elaborate why these fuckers are still around? Their main source of supply is by robbery/donations not production, their soldiers are under armed and under trained, they have no armor or air force, shit communications, no sense of logistics, an ideology that makes occupation almost impossible, a worldwide coalition against them, and their sense of strategy is befuddled in retarded propaganda and martyrdom. And yet they have managed to control the lives of 10 million at their peak and conquered large swaths of territory in Iraq and Syria. How did they manage to defeat more modern and well equipped forces such as the Iraqi Security Forces or the Syrian Government Forces? How are they still alive for six years? I just want to know what ISIS is doing right strategically. None of that political crap.
>>33138799
You underestimate the incompetence of the Iraqi and Syrian militaries.
>>33138799
Hey Abdullah.
Are we the baddies?
>>33138799
> None of that political crap.
99% of ISIS stuff is political shit
1% left is control ares of sand with nothing on it and nobody bother patrolling there and holding lines against now backed up forces
also coalition forces are not at full scale presence, it's only a few SF group and some CAS run, only russia is actually fully deployed with military base, soldiers, armored support and shit in syria.
if you want to know how ISIS started with that much territory it's simple, they were within teh FSA the whole time so they got huge backup form coalition ( without them knowing about it ) and that inclued training
*blocks your path*

How does /k/ store their funs? whats your take on hidden compartments vs actual safes, and how effective do you think they are?
>>33137828
typical "gun safe" is max 30 minutes to open with the correct tools, if you want more security you need to spend more $$
poke around this website, they sell safes for jewelers etc
http://www.amsecusa.com/burglary-ratings-explained/
I live in a small apartment with no kids or retards around so they're laying stacked against each other in a closet with all my waifus clothing.
Moving soon so I'll have my own gun room.

>typical "gun safe" is max 30 minutes to open with the correct tools
What kinda shitty safes do they sell in the US?
Taking my new rifle to shoot it for the first time. I have a nice Nightforce scope I am planning on mounting, but should I master the iron sights first? What's /k/'s opinion?
Do you already know how to use irons?
If so just zero them and move on. If not you already fucked up with a scope in the first place
>>33137476
Learning irons first instills good habits and gives you a firmer skillset as a shooter. It makes it easier to diagnose shooting issues when you have problems with optics, and it means you can pretty much pick up any firearm and be decent with it.
It's not hard to learn irons, and people who act like it's a Herculean task baffle me.
And here's a babby's first scoped shooting video for your Nightforce: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rLfYLM48Ms&t=1s

People think it's hard to shoot with irons?
AQ operative Abū al-Khayr al-Masrī has been killed in a drone strike today in Syria. He approved the JaN split from al-Qaeda.

Revive Intratec AB and start manufacturing guns for gangbangers
Buy from workers in gun factories or military armories and give them a cut to keep quiet.
Why would you want americuck guns?
Hey /k/,
Noguns here. Is this a good deal for someone who just wants a homedefense gun, which is reliable and has a certain iconic aesthetic?
A little expensive for a shitty AK but yeah, that should do the trick.
>>33136755
So is this polish version just as "reliable" as the Russian counterpart?
>>33136750
Seems like a solid deal desu
Okay so one of the biggest problems with piston ar's is bolt carrier tilt, so how about we use a lever to transfer the pistons movement to the bolt like in this pic?
>>33136250
Because you are not trying to push the bolt forward with the piston.
