So if I was a cartridge inventor and i decided to neck a 20 or 30 mm cannon round down to say a .22 What do you think would happen?
>>33146568
Better off as a flamethrower than a gun.
>>33146568
You'd be unoriginal

What?
>fap fap fap
>>33146553
Yes, that's why its called a "pistol". Next time, ask /akg/.
We had one of these a couple weeks ago, thought I'd bring it back.
Any LEO's on tonight?
I was cosindering applying to my local PD but was unsure of what the standard protocol is on service weapons.
Can you use your own pistol/service rifle?
>>33146535
I thought we talked about this. It is LEGO.

If you want to be a LEO its almost amazing the list of things you should be worried about before that.

this
Two gun wielding assailants just broke into your home! How fucked are you!?
>>33146395
not at all because I lie down on the floor and do what they say, instead of trying to unload my moisin into them and getting blasted like the average /k/ fag would
>>33146424
Fuck that, what if they're there to kill you?
Though, if it's the hollywood shootout guys in full gear, I'd probably be blown away, hopefully not. Highest caliber gun I have is a pump action 30-06, so I'd probably dump npap mags at them and hope for a headshot eventually. That or suppressive fire to keep them at the other end of my house out of the hallway until SWAT arrives.
About how long can 150 loaded rounds keep them suppressed for?
>>33146395
LOL not even closed to fucked..... I am sitting next to 9 loaded guns as we speak. Room mate has 3 in his room and the girlfriend caring as well.
> Buy a Shield
> Really like it but no single stack Glock
> lol Glock 43 too little too late too expensive
> End up swapping some shit for a G43
> Goddamnit, I love this pistol
> Fucking Glock
Sig P938 > Glock 43
Of those five listed in the pic, Glock takes 2nd place though. P238 pocket gun master race.
>>33146374
>carrying a single stack micro-compact 9mm
>even worse, it's a striker fired
>doesn't even have a rail to mount a light, so useless outside of sole cc purpose

What is the biggest meme cartridge? My vote is for the .45GAP
>>33146369
Anything that isn't 45 long Colt, 357 mag, or 45 ACP.
>>33146387
Oh god it's the .45 sperg again.
>>33146369
10mm. Stay mad faggots.
My pops is interested in getting his first semi-auto pistol and is seriously considering a modern Kimber as an option. How do I convince him that this is a bad idea? I've already brought up the questionable QC given the high price point, wouldn't a USP be a much better deal for the money?
Also, semi-auto thread! Post your handgats, Meatballs are also welcome!
>>33146235
USP is awesome
Source: I have one
>>33146244
I see you fell for the weapon light meme.
>>33146288
Dude, weapon lights are a must have. Don't want to step on my cat when I'm practicing clearing my house.
"The second exception, and the one that lands people in jail time and time again, crops up when the defender uses deadly force against an unarmed attacker, or even to fend off multiple unarmed attackers. This happens with surprising frequency, and more often than not, the defender ends up paying a high price legally. The issue involved is called “disparity of force,” and it is a critical one.
When a legitimate self-defense shooting ends up in court, many times the civil litigation or criminal prosecution hinges on the question of disparity of force. After all, if a prosecutor knows the attacker had a deadly weapon and was in fact attacking, he is likely not going to prosecute the self-defense shooter. But what happens when the defender is being stomped to death, choked to death, or oth- erwise believes a deadly force attack is imminent or underway? And, what if that defender shoots one or more of his assailants, but they claim that they were only beating him up, not trying to severely injure or kill him?
Legally speaking, likely it was lawful for the defender to use force in self defense, but in court the claim is made that he or she used excessive force."
So umm are you supposed to carry non-lethals with you for situations like this? What if someone just wants to beat your ass or break your kneecaps/nose with their bare hands? How do you discern these things?
>>33146080
Have a good lawyer and don't live in a blue state
>>33146111
But I'm poor, I live in Wisconsin that's red enough right? Should I get shooters insurance or whatever, do you guys have it? What about the NRA?
>>33146080
>What if someone just wants to beat your ass or break your kneecaps/nose with their bare hands?
>b-b-but we weren't trying to kill you!!
>we were only going to beat you up!
You're still going to get shot, and for good reason. People fucking die in fist fights all the goddamn time.
Why won't these pricks make a gun with a loading gate?
>>33145803
Why do you want a loading gate? Both have prongs and congs.
My bigboy carbine steel in .357 is not only beautiful but a strait shooter once I installed skinner peep sights. At least its murrican product and of goood quality also
>>33145834
>prongs and congs.
>>33145834
>Why do you want a loading gate?
Because tube mags are fucking retarded and annoying. I don't care how smooth and how nice of a brass they use. Even hickock45 thinks it's a major con
I've never owned a firearm. Never had one in the home growing up. But I've been spending several weekends at a pistol range, and I've found a favorite.
The grip is the foremost perk for me. I've tried lighter loads in 9mm from the .357 that felt like they kicked harder. for some reason, the fact that nothing edges back into my thumb makes it easier to fire heavier loads on a revolver.
Also, I liked that I can use .38's which hardly kick at all, makes it ideal not only for target shooting, but for budget as well. So, I'd like to know from people who have more experience, would I be wasting my money on this? I'm only interested in target shooting and home defense, wouldn't carry it around in public.
That's a great gun. Get it and have fun. If home defense, make sure to have a flashlight for target identification.
>>33145640
GP100's are pretty good. I've heard nothing but praise about them. Go for it.
>>33145640
It's great if you can afford to pay twice the $ on ammo vs 9mm, or if you wanna get into reloading.
.38 isn't any cheaper than .357, FYI
HOW THE FUCK DO I GET RID OF RECEIVER WOBBLE

Sell it and buy a decent rifle instead.
is there any battle scene that can surpass normandy beach in saving private ryan?
the special effects, the dialogue, the sound, the wardrobe, the acting.
best of all, it's based on real events.
>>33145551
I think that with modern technology that vidya if done right could a more realistic feeling and more immersive experience. Mostly because you for the most part are controlling everything that happens. I think the reason that there aren't cinematic WW2 Medal of Hour or Call of Duty type campaigns is because people are more worried about the competitive multiplayer aspect and modern tacticool gear.

Loosely. Omaha beach didn't look anything like that.
I was at the shooting rage today and this guy tapped me and asked if I would load his magazine with 7 live rounds and 1 snap cap in the middle somewhere random so he could test his "trigger discipline". I acted like I couldn't hear him and shook my head and he went to the next guy in the ports. Was I being a dick, is this even a safe practice. I ask all the veteran shooter out there for your opinion?
I don't know about testing "trigger discipline" but this does seem like a legitimate way to see if you have a flinch.
>>33145304
this is a common way to train malfunction drills or to diagnose a flinch
you're stupid
what he was asking for was legit. you didn't know better as I assume you're a newbie so I wouldn't feel bad about it.
