What's the real life version of the Fallout 3 .32 cal hunting rifle?
https://youtu.be/nic8_gfURJY
No such thing. I mean, its a Winchester 70, but they dont make them in .32.
>>34993969
OP here
There's a handful of rifles that shoot 32
Acp, s&w, etc etc
>>34993828
A always thought it akin to the CZ527 in 7.62x39, a carbine length barrel but still a full length stock.
The short bolt throw of the 7.62x39 allows a decently fast rate of fire.
Also 7.62x39 is very similar to 32acp.
Who here does Muzzleloader hunting and why?
One of my coworkers wants us to get these for hunting this season along with rifle.
Id prefer bow.
What benefits is there with the ML hunt and how fun are they to practice with?
I have that exact rifle, but with a scope (pic related). It's a lot of fun to shoot, but requires more work and caution than a modern rifle. It'll teach you a lot about shooting - especially about how to be patient and careful. All in all, I really like mine.

Hmm, out here in WA its iron sights only so going after Elk at Mt St Helens seems like quite the challenge with that.

Man, the biggest fudds on planet earth were baby boomer black powder mountain man wannabes out west. They gave y'all some of the dumbest, most arbitrary bp hunting laws I have ever heard of.

Should I buy for HD /k/ ?
Want to do an AR build with some bros. However, they're a bit skittish about people who aren't gunsmiths using parts from different manufacturers to build a device that houses explosions.
What's the worst that could happen if a person were to throw together an AR:
1. Mating a Pre-Made upper to a pre-made lower?
2. Mating a Pre-Made upper to a self-assembled lower?
3. Assembling the Upper and Lower from parts?
Alternatively:
TL;DR - Want to build an AR, what could possibly go wrong?

>Want to build an AR, what could possibly go wrong?
You'll have to get new friends

Are your friends retarded?

you try to shoot back but your gun doesnt work then the atf shoots you

What's the general consensus on this show? They make some pretty neat weapons and it's cool to see them forge their blades.
>>34992719
Binge watched it on an RV trip recently
Other than the usual 1-weeb-per-episode rule, seemed pretty neat. Learned some basic history of different blades and styles. Getting to see them hit really hot metal with other metal is also fun to watch.
>>34992719
This show is superior.
I only have two options:
1. A bolt action .22lr rifle
2. A single shot rifle chambered in either 7.62x39 or .308
Keep in mind that i would use it to rarely shoot targets at 100yards and i can get relatively cheap steel ammo in case of .308 (50 cents per round or 30 for 7.62x39)
It would also be great if the rifle could serve for self defense
>>34992700
Those are some shit options why only one or the other?
Single shot 7.62
Also where the fuck do you live where these are your only options?

I get brass cased German MEN 308 at 48cpr. Learn to buy online.
>1918+33
>Not adopting a 9mm or 45ACP pistol
Why?
>>34992458
Doctrine sees pistols as a sign of rank and therefore should be unobtrusive and easily stowed. No subgun chambered in 9x19. Reliable blowback easy to teach allies to build. Fmj 9x19 and 9x18 are basically the same in older loadings
Inb4 fudd meme. It can chamber and shoot 9x19
>>34992526
>It can chamber and shoot 9x19
Uh, no it can't.
9mm mak is larger diameter and has a shorter case than 9mm luger

Realistically, how could we defend ourselves from an extrasolar Alien threat?
Would our military be able to fight against it?

The common cold
Any civilization advanced enough to travel around the galaxy isn't going to be stopped by anything we have.
Honestly, if a species traveled thousands of light years to our planet for the sole purpose to invade, we will probably get wrecked. No if, ands, or buts about it.
The Half Life series is the one that got it right.
Is he legit or a pseud with lots of opinions?

He's been wrong a few times, but he generally does his research.

Either wiki-tier or pseud, literally the only worthwhile thing he has is contacts who let him field strip rare stuff before auctions
Hello /k/
Now this maybe a really dumb question, but what's the process of buying a gun. Do I need papers of some sort,do I need papers if I'm at a gun show. I've been planning to buy my father a rifle or shotgun, because he's an ex marine ands been without shooting for along time, also I live in "comieforina"
>>34992427
>comieforina
you need id, (like a drivers license) proof of residency, and to take a safety test
no felonies no domestic violence
its going to be much easier to give your dad money and tell him to buy his own gift
your plan to buy one then simply hand it to him isnt legal
You need a firearms safety card, which any FFL should be able to administer. It takes like 10 minutes to fill it out, the questions are no-brainers.
You need to bring proof of California Residence and a form of ID. A driver's license with your current address on it is enough to satisfy both requirements. If the address isn't current you need a DMV printout that states your current address.
If it's a handgun you need 1 more document verifying your residence, could be a utility bill, or voter registration form, or jury duty summons.
You can't just give him the gun, you need to make it an official transfer, it's the same process as buying a gun, you both need the things mentioned above. Except of course he doesn't pay you anything. It's a ~25$ fee for the transfer though.
You're better off giving him money to buy his own gun or giving him a non-gun gift.
California marines are massive fudds anyway.
What is the best knife for batoning?
A baton?

axes are too heavy and bulky. why carry one when you can just bring a knife?
Pakistan is allied to both China and the US, so if a Sino-American war were to break out, on which side are they more likely to fight on?
>>34992369
>Pakistan allies with US
Kek don't make me laugh. Those bhenchodes are spineless.
>>34992369
neither
>>34992369
Neither, they'll continue doing the same thing as now and saying "yes yes no problem" all the time whilst doing whatever they feel like, which is often the direct opposite of what they just promised to do/help with.
That's assuming of course India isn't in any way involved in the wider conflict, if they are it sould be considered a given that Pakistan will do whatever it takes to be on the opposite side.
