Personally I think the US should place all chips on India. It's a much bigger country with much more potential, it is yet to go through its industrialization. Having a history of culture and achievements helps its reputation too. Pakistan on the other hand gives safe haven to terrorist groups and trusts China much more than the US despite us giving Pakistan many billions of dollars in aid. That's just my opinion though.
