It isn't, stop posting these stupid threads.
North Korea isn't worth the hassle, at most China will slap them down a peg, oust the incumbent fat fuck and put in someone more pliable and less antagostic.
Simple.

Why are ramps on aircraft carriers so looked down upon?
139 posts and 25 images submitted.
>>
Mostly a /k/ meme.

The retarded believe they somehow limit the aircraft when they do the opposite. The ramps only boost the aircraft.

And because people don't understand what requirements are. Like the reasons why you would want lower maintenance and higher availability option.

Because they're the budget thus inferior option.

They limit the payload and wight of the plane that can be launched. They also put more stress on the plane during take off meaning the weight has to be watched or landing gear has to be beefed up.

>You can see that standing still is very nearly suicide, with a 85% hit rate, matching the 90% rate discussed from the active shooter study above very closely. Don’t stand still. Moving and shooting with no cover resulted in roughly a 50% reduction in hits and 40% reduction in torso hits. Learn to move and shoot. Lastly, using cover resulted in a 26% hit rate, roughly 1/3 the standing rate, and a 6% torso hit rate. USE COVER. These numbers are much more palatable, especially considering that these were trained adversaries. Pro tip, most criminals aren’t marksman.
>I also learned that shooting one handed, exposing as little as possible around cover, drastically decreased my chances of being shot in the torso. I had previously thought that leaning my torso out and maintaining a two handed grip wouldn’t increase my chances of being hit significantly. Boy was I wrong. Maintaining cover and backing off of it enough to maximize your vision and your physical coverage is key. By the end of the course, nearly all the officers had figured this out, which caused our matches to increase from roughly 30 sec in length to several minutes. Basically we were trying to shoot each other within that 6% area.

That second quote is obvious to anyone that has every played paintball or any other irl force on force simulation. The 1st quote doesn't bring into the light that what cover you use matter a lot as well. Lost of cover is shit against most pistol rounds.

A new type of fuze added to the w76 100kt warheads allows a higher degree of kill reducing the amount of warheads per target.
http://thebulletin.org/how-us-nuclear-force-modernization-undermining-strategic-stability-burst-height-compensating-super10578
Essentially it allows subs to kill silos better than land based ICBMs.
That frees up the 2-4 warheads in each Trident of a possible 5 to attack other targets nearby or perform a literal scorched Earth to destroy mobile launchers.

The article also explains that that the other land based ICBMs could raise the certainty of a command center bunker kill using the same tech.
No wonder the Russians were making mobile launchers and devising that 100MT torpedo/uuv.

Does anybody know about this thing, its specs, how it handled? Why was the F-22 prototype chosen over it, when it was supposedly stealthier? Was the F-22 just a better plane overall in maneuverability, payload, or fighting characteristics?
11 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
The general consensus seems to be centered around the YF-22 being more agile, more conventional, and having fewer structural concerns.

The YF-23's biggest long-term problem was the layout of the weapons bays, which left a large longitudinal space in the fuselage that would have been the cause of structural problems over the lifetime of the aircraft.

this claims to fit all sigs. i dont see why it shouldnt be replaceable with the right mount

I'm pretty sure that replaces the rear right. This RX one is mounted on a milled slot, but I'm not sure if it's removable, or if it is, if it's standardized.
>>
>>33801785
why would they bother covering up the rear sight on a already milled slide? most guns that are premilled come with plates for different optics. it makes sense sig wouldnt since they are selling their own but nothing stopping another company selling a piece of metal

Hello /k/, I'm a young person with a fascination for firearms, I know quite a bit about them, actually. Though not much in comparison to most of you. Though my main reason for this post is to ask you lovely people where I might start when it comes to learning firearm anatomy, terminology and assembly. I know the basics of how a firearm functions and how other things like safety and magazine releases work, but I'd like to learn about all the internal parts.

If anyone could provide a link and source to where I might learn about this aside from Wikipedia, I'd be very grateful.
(I'd learn about it on Wikipedia by myself, however I don't know where to begin with the terminology and all that. Pic is also somewhat related).

Thank you for those of you that respond seriously. :)
