A lonely wave in the ocean ?
should i just go to art school?
yea itll be the same loomis shit but I might meet cool people
As long as you are sexually fluid (and who that goes to art school isnt?), you should be fine.
>>3072867
got that uncensored famalam? I need it for research purposes (meme unintended)
>>3072862
>160k$ just to meet people
Maybe try being a naked model or something and meet the same people, crash art parties etc.
Usually when i draw all day, i get tired and unfocused in the end and just start playing games. Is there someway i can still train my skills, but still without being 100% focused all the time.
listen to music
go to /mu/ and keep trying until they stop making fun of your request and most likely shit music taste and they will eventually give good recs
fucking pussy

No.
>>3072558
cool
Anyway, music doesn't improve your concentration, but it has the potential to improve your endurance.
It's minor distraction, humans are bad at multitasking and any form of it will affect you somewhat, but if you can either draw one hour without music or two hours with it, you're better off throwing on some tunes. Especially for relatively mindless shit like rendering. Rendering gets fucking boring, and giving it 100% of my focus doesn't particularly improve the quality compared to giving it 90%.
basically - when you need optimal focus, no music. When you don't, music is fine.
Are his tutorials any good?

I just started up my twitter to gain a following for my art, and I plan on drawing a lot of cute girls.
The question is, which one? I need a patron queen that I draw a lot of, probably change it out for each month. Here's my top pick. What do you guys think?
Choose from something more recent. Gotta keep on top of the trends, lad.
>>3076308
Ooooooh, shit. Thanks a ton! You just reminded me of everyone's favorite.
Hi /ic/
I have received the inspiration to make a Gabriel Dropout fan manga for my friends.
I'm not the best artist but I'm having a lot of fun drawing anime girls and have been improving quickly. I'm wondering if anyone would be so kind as to look at my work and give me critique and show examples of techniques I should use?
My BIGGEST difficulty is legs, boobs, FACES and FEET. Especially faces and feet!
Here are some of my concept pictures I drew up this evening.
I hope to hear from you!
As you can see I have trouble giving Gab a good face and even gave her a bandaid because I tried to make her look annoyed and it didn't work out
This is Satania and I just tried to give her closed eyes. I messed up unspeakably bad on her legs. I have so much trouble getting that sort of fake 3d look on her feet, and the female form is hard for me to bring out. Notice my boob shadow technique? Any pointers?
I messed up on vignes hair really bad but again, how can I improve the emotion in my facial expressions? She looks dead..
what's the easiest way to make money off your art?
>>3076210
be good enough to make people hire you to draw them shit
>>3076210
Good God everything about that picture is so wrong and horrible
>>3076254

since most generals are for figure drawing, I dunno where to put this.
>>3076085
In the trash
>>3076085
The generals aren't just for figure drawing, go post in /beg/
What is it about the coloring and lighting that makes this so interesting?
Looks pretty normal to me.
>>3075918
Blue and yellow are opposite on the color wheel
>>3075918
not that interesting to me
Should I even bother making an account?
Or is this just another useless decaying art website.
>>3075909
The latter.
>>3075911

Very good. How do you practice?
If there is anyone here around the west coast and looking for options in the commercial arts (animation/illustration in particular) i would say stay away from San Jose State Universities Animation Illustration Bachelors of Fine Arts progarm.
I got my degree from the Animation/Illustration department there which was no easy task. As a student in the program, i fully respected the emphasis on drawing skills as a measure of skill and competence. Its been a few years so i assume this is still the status quo there.
There are a few things in this program there which might have changed since i left or might have not. As a recent graduate I remember somewhat of a turning point during the last few segments of my education there. The foul stink of some kind of corruption and subversion floating in the air became apparent, as my younger and less worldly contemporaries floated on and seemed not to notice.
I came to the realization that the program is nothing but a manufacturing plant for the likes of feature film companies such as Disney, Pixar, Dreamworks, and major network television networks like Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon. In a sense, the art program serves just to secure future employment in these companies.
As a video game emphasis with a background in more representational styles such as comic books I found out only after investing several years in the program that my emphasis was not valued or even represented in this program. By that time I was already nearing my final semesters. The faculty would

... push the students geared towards Disney, Dreamworks, ect, and everyone else was left hung out to dry.
The school gets grants from these elite Jewish owned companies and are expected to promote and produce skilled students for their companies as a result. Its not rocket science. Any student who fit that profile would get pushed by the program's leads. Adversely, anyone who wasn't in the animation mindset was not given adequate attention or support by the faculty. Just like politicians, they are appeasing their masters and doing favors for their chief beneficiaries.
And their prized animation artist Sheldon Bornstein is not only an extremely overrated instructor who has no place at a public institution, but he is also a fat pompous opportunistic rat jew of the most obscene character. He does nothing but talk about himself for the duration of his hours-long sessions. He rides the coattails of of Glen Vilppu, a greater artist he trained under, and presents himself as a master artist because he is able to jew rich mothers of teenage white girls in to paying for expensive drawing courses in his "academy" in the Los Angeles area.
I've honestly never had to endure a more pompous and annoying personality in one of my instructional drawing classes. Most great artist have a sense of humility and modesty which offsets even the most flamboyant artistic expression. But Sheldon does not posses any of this virtue. You can check out his videos for your self if you don't believe me. Sheldon is a major part of the SJSU animation/illustration program which is why i mention him and seek to give insight to his place in all of this.
In closing, do your research and pay for a college that will serve your art major.

>>3075574
are you drunk?
>>3075573
Couldn't get a job as an animator.
Complains that college sucks.
GTFO you shill. Why don't you make animations in your mom's basement, we'll see if you can make a living doing that.
Imma truuuu artist. Don need to work fo no company. Everyone else is talentless hack can only wrk for THE JEW!!
>go to art school
>experience absolutely ruined by pretentious art fags who think everything is "extremely moving" and "deep"
Why do people pretend to understand art? Why cant they just see it for what it is? Acknowledge its existence, realize the artists vision and move on? Why do they constantly look for things that aren't there?
Every now and then I think I see some detail that turns a key. An artist can plant false clues everywhere in order to disguise his or her tracks, but sometimes it's subtler than that.
>>3075193
"Red herrings" is the expression.
>>3075186
>take community college art class
>experience completely ruined by people who have no idea how hard it is to make it
>teacher gives them the same speech, I already know, about how hard you have to work every day
>never ends up giving any actual teaching
man, digital painting is BS.
fuck this shit.
guts deserves better
>>3073824
Yeah, "digital" painting is BS. It's all its fault.
>>3073858
