I was born "jewish" although I hate judaism and all other religions.
I believe there is no such thing as "god", and that we like Charles Darwin proved evolved from ape like ancestors through millions of years of evolution.
It has always boiled my blood to know what the germans did to us the so called "jews".
But I take solace in knowing that at least some german civilians got killed in the allied bombings of dresden and other german cities.
Rest in peace Marshal of the Royal Air Force Sir Arthur Travers Harris, 1st Baronet, GCB, OBE, AFC (13 April 1892 – 5 April 1984).
I admire and love you.
" The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw, and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind".

Good bait

And he also managed to work in a bit to piss off the general theist populace too, I'm mildly ...not impressed what's a word to describe mildly entertained? Contented? I'll go with that, this post makes me content.

What is the final solution to get rid of this poster?
From a Republican perspective, did Reagan or Bush Senior get the shit from the media that Trump and Bush Jr did?
ya
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_hD-Ien4r1I
>>3083613
Yes. Reagan in particular was treated almost identically. Lots of hysteria about how a 'celebrity' couldn't run the country. If certain senior democrats hadn't been practically in bed with the Soviets they would have even made looney claims about Russia.
>>3084297
Why do the democrats always do this?
>inb4 Obama got it this bad
He really didnt
What would you say related to Julius Caesar deserves the bigger spotlight of examination, his campaigns/battles or the politics surrounding and involving him?
>>3083544
I feel as though both are one in the same and cannot be viewed separately when analyzing the man
>>3083544
they need to do more examinations on population in Gaul and Britain during his campaigns, some historians claim he over exaggerates the numbers of soldiers he faced
but when you read Livy and Tacticus his numbers don't seem exaggerated at all
I honestly, sincerely don't get why he is so hyped together with Alexander the Great and Napoleon. Were the Gauls all that? Explain to me like I'm a retard.
What's the morality behind immigration? Should they be let in? Should they be kept out? Are open borders right or wrong?
>>3083448
having a shortage in labor would be immoral
>>3083448
also disclaimer: I'm not /pol/, I want to discuss the philosophical moralistic ramifications of each position.
>>3083452
This
You'd be shooting yourself in the foot if you didn't take in scientists/engineers/doctors which would be immoral for your people imo.
Be honest.
Regardless of how clever or wise you consider yourself to be. Do you think you'd be anywhere near that level had you been born in ancient times, and had never been exposed to the toughs of the great philosophers?
Well it's fairly common knowledge that even "stupid" people in today's time period are smarter than say Aristotle, or Galileo. In the sense that they'd score a higher score on a standardized test.
But that's only because of our exposure to stuff like that. So the answer to your question is an obvious no.
>>3083434
>you must suffer for your art, I mean philosophy
idk I try to be humble
I´ll be dragging myself through a thornbush witn no clothes on
"What if we gave the weird kid in class all the power of ancient Rome?"
Who the fuck thought this kid was fit to rule as Emperor? Who even was this guy?
Shit's fucking hilarious.
>married a Vestal Virgin
>forced Senators to watch while he danced at some altar
>offered vast sums of money to any doctor who could attach a vagina to him
>as a show or power, he had naked women pull his chariot, himself also being naked
>would have fucking lions just roll up into the dining room while people ate for his amusement
>he personally shaved the groins and pubic hair of his minions
>presented himself as a prostitute while he was emperor, like holy shit he went through with it too for fun
sounds like a mad bitch

Wow da absolud manman :DDDDDDDD

What concepts or actions were considered taboo in Ancient Greece?
Disrespecting a guest
>>3083231
Performing oral sex to a woman
>>3083238
Really? Prostitution was legal and tons and tons of erotic art was pumped out of Ancient Greece, I'm pretty sure there are artifacts to back it up.
Can we have a thread about Napoleon's Marshals? Who's the one that interest's you the most? The one you dislike the most? General discussion really
>Favorite is Berthier. Unassuming man who was always by Napoleon's side, and when he sided with the Bourbons, he killed himself when Napoleon returned
>Victor is definitely the most hated. The guy, unlike most marshal's after the Seventh Coalition, sucked the Bourbon dick hard. He hunted down Bonapartists and wanted Ney and other Marshal's dead. He didn't even attend Napoleon's reburial and when he died no one really cared.
>>3083220
WHERE IS GROUCHY?!
>>3083225
Almost directly under the eagle on the right.
>>3083220
Ney.
>come see how a marshal of France dies
Bad history sucks.
The myth that the French, should've (1) extended the Maginot Line to the Channel Coast or (2) used combined arms warfare, would have held in 1940 is bad history.
Myth number (1) France was using outdated tactics:
The French knew all about armoured warfare, their doctrine from the period, "Methodical Battle" it is combined arms. The theories proposed by Guderian etc. were examined thoroughly by the French, and German doctrine was examined in depth. Many French observers further saw the German use of coordinated infantry, artillery, tanks, aircraft and paratroopers in the breakthrough phase of the modern battle as so doctrinally similar to 'Methodical Battle' that they "would have passed muster at the Ecole Superieure de Guerre".
Looking at the French Army's DLM / DCR divisions, these are equivalent of the German Panzer Corps. In Gembloux, Belgium, The French conducted a classic combined arms manoeuvre warfare advance into Belgium. They fought the Germans to a draw here.
Myth number (2): the Germans just went around the Maginot Line:
(A) the terrain on the Franco-Belgian border was completely unsuited to defence and is largely open fields intersected by rivers making it difficult to fortify.
(B) The main industrial and population centres of France are in the northeast of the country. The French needed to move the battle into Belgium if they were to have any chance in holding until their allies could come to their aid, Germany had more population and industry.
(C) The French command was fully aware that any "line", attacked with enough strength, could be breached. Gamelin wrote “from 1915… whenever the necessary means were employed, one always broke a front.”
(D) Defending the border would be a longer front to defend than moving into Belgium. France was at a disadvantage in terms of manpower compared to the Germans. Besides a shorter front, the French needed the extra 22 divisions of the Belgian Army.
Not French, I am Australian.
>>3083207
I believe the Germans broke the the Maginot anyways.
That said, if I was the French leader I would have supported the Czecks with Sudentanland.
Of course, if I was made leader after that I would have just thrown the Poles under the Bus. Or maybe actually do the Saar offensive.
>Mythical horse riding supermen Aryans brought the Vedas in India

I know its a meme to hate modern art.
but I hate modern art
Daily reminder that modern art and contemporary art are two VERY different things and youre actually embarrassing yourself if you believe that all modern art is bad

Wow... so this is the power of eastern philosophy
>>3083195
eastern philosophy trends towards the collective at the sacrifice of the individual
For all the difference between Lao Tsu and Confucius, that was the one thing they had in common. The deletion of the self
Even Buddism and Hinduism has those thematic strains in them.
>>3083330
Taoism is about conforming to heaven, how is that equivalent to 'deletion of the self'?
>>3083330
Lao Tsu doesn't delete the self in the same sense as Buddhism, In fact you could argue ti takes a very skeptical and lackadaisical view of government and society as well
So how did this work? Were the other countries nominally independent and took orders from the Kremlin, or was it an almost super state that had members from each country as part of the Communist Party in Moscow? Was Russia the only part of the Soviet Union, or were countries like Poland and East Germany part of it as well? Or were they just client states that got told what to do?
>>3083176
The other countries were not independent and moscow was legally and politically above them in the hierarchy.
Poland and East germany were legally independent but politically Russia's bitches.
The Communist Parties of the 15 SSRs had about equal power to Autonomous Republics within the RSFSR, just with more rights (i.e. succession) written into their constitutions.
>>3083609

why does he win every single debate if atheism is true ?
>>3083142
Because winning a debate doesn't necessarily constitute truth for your side, it just implies that you had a better argument than the opposition, you retard (figure it out for yourself or get off this board).
