I've dreamt about being a Yugoslav partisan. Me and about twelve other partisans ambush a German patrol. We get the upper hand on them in the begging but we eventually get overrun. They tie me to a post to execute me and just before they shoot I wake up.


I've dreamt this about three times. Both of my grandfathers were in the partisans.

My question is not about that per se but I think it's interesting and relevant. I study with a guy from Guinea and he told us that French removed literally fucking everything including phone and electric wires upon leaving and Guinea still has fuckall for infrastructure since they had absolutely nothing after getting independence. How did other African countries fare after decolonization and do they develop their infrastructure now? I only know about Chinks building roads and all that, also I heard that former British colonies fared much better because British played fair most of the time.
