I've been thinking up a form of government and I want to know what /his/ thinks about it.
I don't have to whole thing planned but it is not a majority rules everything type of thing and not a minority rules everything type of thing. Democracy is tyranny by the ignorant majority. Communism makes you a slave to the system the same way Capitalism makes you a slave to wages. The only law of the land would be a kind of constitutional law that would limit the rights of the government instead of the people. Only major population centers like cities and towns that pay taxes to be would be policed and have rule of law. Instead of states that would have their own governments there would be territories with no law instead of in cities and the laws would be made by what the city or town council decides on as long as the laws do not infringe on the constitutional law or whatever you want to call it. Basically if you don't want to pay taxes and be ruled by the law of a city council just live in a town that polices themselves or innawoods. Council members would be voted in democratically but for laws only the council would vote on them. Like let's say there is a problem. Someone will bring it to the council and the council will decide what to do about it. If a council infringes on constitutional law the council will be deemed illegitimate government and the territorial army or militia would remove the council of the city and return the rule to the people but if the citizens agree with what the council wants the city or town would be allowed to leave the country. I am not sure how the council structure would be. It would probably depend on the town or population. There is still allot more that needs to be thought up but these are the basic principles.
What would this be called? If this is already a form of government what is it?

You are of course going to run into the problem that most of the local governments will ignore constitutional norms once there is no longer anything forcing them to abide by them.

A revolution would obviously have to occur to establish this system so the old local state governments would be no more. Unless you are talking about the new local governments. In that case the territorial army and citizens (if they believe in the constitutional law) would be there to make sure the council abides by the constitution. The reason there would no longer be state governments is because one state should not be more or less free than another. That doesn't sound like "land of the free" to me.

What are people's opinions on Stoicism? Stoicism is a philosophy which believes that the only things we can control is is our reaction to things and the rest are external(Money,friends,situations,material things) which are outside are control and therefore should be indifferent to.
I think it's a very practical philosophy to dealing with the hardships of life but it's very sad that there's only about 3 major texts about it left, namely Marcus Aurelius' meditations, Epictetus' Discourses and Seneca's letters from a stoic.

What if nobody existed but Tongans? Let's say all ancestors of humans emigrated to Tonga, and those who didn't just vanished out of thin air. The only humans in the world to discover fire, invent the wheel and further develop were Tongans. A major constraint would be their limited material availability due to the fact Tonga's tiny as well as the surrounding islands, and thus a lack of population growth. Perhaps there would be adapted technologies like proto vertical farms to support population growth?
When would they start settling on other Polynesian islands? On Melanesian ones, then New Zealand, Asia and the Americas? Proportionally speaking newfound lands would be fucking massive compared to what they know. That'd be goddamn exiting.
Would these migrations somehow cause genetic diversity as settlers may get exposed to different physiological treatment in food, climate etc and may lose connection with home if bureaucratic disorder occurs? Would the world eventually balkanise into many states? What are some realistic scenarios, because there are many possibilities

Who are the best historians who deal with these subjects? What are the best books to read? I am specifically interested in the European theatre and mostly with the German perspective but I am open to any suggestions of books and/or historians regardless of their focus. I am also interested in partisans for some odd reason.
What should I even be looking for? I've always been interested in WWII and I know a bit about WWI from the internet and documentaries but I've never really delved into literature. Should I be looking for broader works that cover the entire war? I suppose this is dependent on my interests. I guess I am asking what you think a newbie should read.

What was the relation between Satyrs and Nymphos in Greek Mythology? From what I read, the appearance of a Satyr is supposed to represent half man and half beast, or a symbol of being subjected to a beastly lifestyle as a man. Satyrs were poets that mainly roamed in the woods and mountains. They are also often depicted with an erect penis which could mean that the man is a slave to his bestial, sexual desires. Nymphos are the same, but yet from what I read it seems that nymphos never actually engaged in sexual activities with the Satyr, but only to tease him and mess with his head.
Is Satyr a symbol of the beta man?

They're both magical beings but beyond that they have no clear relationship. The Satyrs are mostly associated with the god Pan while nymphs are a very broad class of being that includes minor deities (like Calypso) and simple nature spirits (like the Dryads), although iirc both Satyrs and a class of nymphs called Maenads where found among the followers of the god Dionysos, where they both represent the animalistic nature of drunkeness.

Everyone was treated the same. Had the union lasted for 50 more years, I believe that Armenian, Georgian and Azerbaijani would have been taught in cyrillic.
Thing is, however the USSR was a good thing for asian republics, that didn't have much going on for them.
