No. People who document history will never do it "perfectly". But it could be, while not perfectly recorded, much more acurately recorded as even confidential government information is being retrieved by hackers and could be impossible to hide at some point.

I understand why you would think so, but the age of the internet and freedom of publication for more people is so much worse for any sort of organized and objective "truth".

Several times over at this point. Lars even made a damage control video at some point (I think last year) admitted that he made up and misrepresented almost everything in his original video, but saying that it's not a big deal because it was just entertainment.

Like this dude says, there are several videos debunking pretty much every aspect of that video. From his lies about history to his use of trick arrows, low draw weight bow, and other forms of technical "cheats." To put the history part simply, Lars is a trick archer who uses a style heavily influenced by Asian horse archery. His style wasn't lost, and it wasn't the way people "really" did things in the ancient world. All of his claims about what things were "really" like, and what are supposed myths are either exaggerated or just wrong.

As a german I can say that its very hard to pull off songs in our language that sound good or melodic.
Its possible but needs more effort then english.

So either expect people to say, fuck krautspeak I sing/write more in my own language or worldentertainment would be consisting of much worse or heavily creoled songs and plays not as accesible to a global audience as it is with english.

Because it was more nationalistic and made them seem like a champion of the people. In the medieval ages you could be French but your king could be German but it wouldn't make a difference to you since all you care about is your own land. People were tied to land like France, instead of their fellow people, like French. Of the French implies he is the king of the French people who happen to inhabit territory, not territory that happens to have french people. It was also a nice reason to go to war in the name of freeing your fellow people who might be ""oppressed" by a bordering country and taking their land. It really took hold when nationalism was beginning to spread, with Germans wanting to live in a ""German""" state with fellow Germans ruled by a German king, rather than be ruled by the dutch.

After the revolution the idea of the social contract and nation was really cemented in public thought. So the king had to rule over the people of his country not the land to put it in the simplest terms.
