how does a day of research in the life of a philsosopher look like ? Can't it be said that most egalitarian principles that many people(including most atheists) hold dear today mostly originated or developed from Christian/Jewish ideologies? The concept that all humans are equally valuable because they were created in God's image paved the way for many societal revolutions and inveitibling the idea of basic "human rights." It was completely on thought of in many pagan societies that all people, whether or not they were men, women, poor, or rich deserved to be treated with dignity/respect never even crossed their minds. As far as they were concerned, some people were just superior to others and that's how it always was: might is always right.
With that said, is it not hypocritical for most modern egalitarians to react so dismissive towards Christianity as a whole?

Nice try but no, because history doesn't work in discrete little modules where Christianity levels up into humanism in the 17th century. Just because certain thinkers developed egalitarian philosophies based on Christian principles doesn't they owe Christianity some kind of debt

CV had Portugal, the Canary Islands, Azores and Madeira all advocate for their admission into the EU. As a lusophone mixed race majority with the longest history of European cultural infusion of any colony on earth it seems like a good fit. Geographically being Macronesian I'd say its reasonable as well.

Asking here and not on /pol/ for obvious reasons: Why are Jews overrepresented in the upper classes (business, finance, media, politics) in North America and Europe? How long have they had disproportionate presence here?

Not an expert, but I'd imagine it's because Jewish culture is very similar to first generation immigrant culture because of the way they don't fully integrate into Christian society while accepting its virtues. Plus they were allowed to do all the unsavoury money-related jobs that Christians weren't after the fall of the Roman Empire, which may have helped to set up a culture used to managing money.

Jewish comedian often joke about overbearing mothers, but it probably means that they're parents help them focus.
Parents are involved in their childrens lives, and have high ambitions/expectations of them.
