Top kek.
AMD can't win at anything.

nice photoshop job bro
has anyone tried the new version of the noppoo choc mini, listed here:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/REALKEY-Technology-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01AHI0GY4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1470697176&sr=8-2&keywords=noppoo+choc+mini
i want to try it out, but if it's shit like the rest, there's not much point.
>>55986016
>but if it's shit like the rest,
the rest of what?
>>55986043
the keyboard in reference, i've had 3 of these in past, but they were not the best in terms of quality control.
>>55986131
I ordered one a couple months back and it wasn't that great. Had multiple keycaps missing letters/numbers and it didn't even look like the keyboard pictured on amazon. Ended up returning it.
>have 4GB VRAM
>it's not enough for the shitty games I play + mods
>probably have to go for 8GB VRAM (Jesus Christ)
Is the R9 480 my best option? It's the cheapest modern 8GB card I can find.
>r9 480
>r9
Why not just get a 6GB card like the GTX 1060 Founder's Edition. Or a refurbished GTX 980 Ti.
Surely would want to play that game the way it's meant to be played, not suffering through bad drivers and 1000 watts of extra heat from an AMD video card solution!
>>55986055
Because what I need is VRAM, and 8GB > 6GB.
Hi /g/. I know this might not be the place to ask but, what are you thoughts on a gaming laptop? I'm on the go 24/7 and I simply can't play games on my rig anymore. I am a business man who travels pretty much every day to new locations, so I really don't get time to go home and game anymore. Are there any decently powered laptops that can play most games? I'm looking at any laptops that have a GTX 980m within a price range of 1500-1800. Any suggestions would help.
>>55985965
They're all pretty shit. You spend $2k on one that performs like a $500 desktop. The only ones worth a crap are the ones with the 980 desktop chip that they somehow fit on a mobile card (not the 980m). But then you're paying like $3k+
Plus, the graphics card normally die within 2-4 years and are super expensive to replace.
You could get a decent laptop with thunderbolt 3.0 and then get one of those new external GPU enclosures that take advantage of the thunderbolt 3.0 bandwidth, but that's not the most portable option, still have to have a place to plug it in to the wall.
>>55985965
What kinds of games do you play?
Get a portable workstation with Thunderbolt 3 and an eGPU if you can.
Otherwise this http://www.logicalincrements.com/laptop which you could have found if you read the fucking sticky. There's a few 980Ms under 1800 if I remember right.

Why can't the industry use superior languages like C#?
Just because you have to to
>mcs Program.cs && mono Program.exe
instead of
>phyton Program.py
Really?
BTW, there is also CScript/Roslyin etc, for

Is SSD a meme?
Should I replace my malfunctioning HD with a SanDisk Plus SSD?
>>55985930
You won't regret it. Just did another SSD replacement for a customer today and they were stoked.
>>55985930

SSD's are some of the best things to happen to computers. Dual-booting is nice as fuck now because booting is almost instant.
And yes you should replace it.
Thoughts /g/?

Do you fucking autists just meme your installation image into existing? This is the most fucking retarded distro in the GNU/Linux universe.

How do I stop peerblock from being annoying?
Peerblock has no reason to be blocking any of the shit I regularly use (Steam/MMORPGs). I'm only blocking anti-p2p institutions, universities/government/adware/advertising agencies/Microsoft IPs
What the fuck. It blocks literally everything and I'm stuck guessing which IPs are good and which ones are bad.
These are my lists. What is blocking the good stuff? I can't find any of the stuff I use in any of the lists yet it's all being blocked.
Is PeerBlock no longer considered a placebo?
>>55986020
It's working against microsoft's Windows 10 bullshit
How long until something that requires 33% of a high-end consumer processor to function is down to 1%? I figure with VR I could have a sweet 3D desktop and who knows what from there. But as I sit now, I'm doing so many things at once and I'm not even and surrounded and immersed. My multi-tasking needs seem to have outpaced computers. A true annoyance, I assure you.
>>55985780
Surround yourself with monitors, problem solved.

What exactly is going on in that image?
>How long until something that requires 33% of a high-end consumer processor to function is down to 1%?
If we keep up this trend of using Python and Javascript to do as much as possible, even when they're completely ill-suited to the task... never.

How safe is this?
99.9% safe
What ? Using windows ?
Pretty not.
I've done it a few times, on W10 here. It's fine. Not sure if it actually helps keep my system operating well or not, but it's just a part of my monthly maintenance routine (along with compressed airing out my case, cleaning my dust filters, and running a bunch of utilities) for upkeep.

Yes, it's real, you actually can't replace parts on your MacBook
