So my windows install finally died. Moved on to superior linux OS did I make the right choice? I don't care much for intricacies I got Ubuntu
Ubuntu is pretty good and probebly the best Linux distro
>>55977484
That distro isn't nearly autistic enough for /g/.

Have you boys tried out the Web Assembly demo? It runs Unity and doesn't even require the unity runtime or browser plugin. You just need Firefox Dev / Nightly or Chrome Canary. Fuck javascript or asm.js, WebAssembly is the future. Actually incredible.
https://webassembly.github.io/demo/
Downloading shady js code from every website wasn't enough, now we'll download shady binaries from every website.
>>55977393
You fucking degenerate
>>55977416
Lmao it's sandboxed better than javascript is you idiot, do you NOT want the web to be faster? Do you not want to be able to do clientside scripting in any language you choose?
I don't like webassembly.
We have a nice system where you can see source code of every piece of javascript your browser runs. Some devs obfuscate/minify their javascript, but the default is still raw plaintext.
They want to replace this with binary blobs. But of course not to worry! If the dev chooses, he can attach his source code to the binary blob! Ain't this magnificent?
>Serious security flaws that could give attackers complete access to a phone's data have been found in software used on tens of millions of Android devices.
>Qualcomm processors are found in about 900 million Android phones, the company said.

Bug in the LTE Chip. You cab get root rights with it

I don't even think software patches can effectively fix this issue.
Blenderfags, I need help.
I'm trying to edit a video but can't get the sound to output. I have the audio codec selected in Encoding tab, I've tried different codecs both video and audio but still there's no audio in the final video. There is a proper audio stream in the output file but it doesn't have any sound.
What's the problem?

>>/g/ is NOT your personal tech support team or personal consumer review site.
>>>/wsr/
>shooting blind
could you have muted it by any chance
anyway you should export with the default which is PNG
then encode with ffmpeg
audio is edited with audacity
>>55977318
Muted? From where, don't know how to edit audio at all in Blender
>audio is edited with Audacity
That's what I usually do but it would be much easier to have the proper audio when trimming and cutting in Blender than having to manually cut the audio at the right time and later combine it with the video.
>/g/ tells me there's no good Android browser because they all have weaknesses
>inclined to agree because there's a fatal flaw in every browser I use on Android

>it's basically Chromium optimized for Snapdragon with adblocking and it is actually actively maintained and is running v52
>I have never been so happy to finally get a browser that actually works well
Thank fuck. I dropped Lightning and now I'm content.
If you can relate, behold our new God browser.

Is VR already DOA?
>>55977237
Yes, we are far for ready for VR, it's just a big hype, try a VR game, they all suck.
>>55977237
Yes, and I'm glad it died. The amount of hype and push it got from major players in the tech industry is just great, anyone with half a brain knew it was doomed to fail.
Yup.
I understand that people get sick sitting stationary, but all the extra shit they added, like hand controllers, made it into one helluva an overpriced gimmick. It's basically super expensive waggling.

According to the movie you need to die and have a trap kiss you back to life.
If you didn't
>write an OS kernel
>write a compiler
>write some machine learning application (e.g. handwriting recognition) from scratch (i.e. without using anything like tensorflow)
>implement a distributed database system or equivalent
>write parallel software for a supercomputer
>learn functional and logic programming
then your CS degree was probably a meme
This is what I wish my CS degree was: practical shit like creating websites and working with databases and understanding your tools like the compiler and git. Instead I learned useless things like calculus and algorithms.
I'll be doing OS design, processor design, and compilers this year.
Not looking forward to it desu.

Make the best Spyware
New anti-adblocker can bypass even hosts files.
I, for on, welcome this improvement, because ti's advertising that makes possible for so many great websites to allow us to access their contents and services for free.
>The following is the announcement made to their subscribers via email:
>Dear PopAds Publisher,
>We have finally released our Anti-AdBlock Adcode which uses daily changed domains to avoid being blocked by any kind of AdBlock, uBlock or other similar extensions(or even hosts file). This allows you to monetize traffic that was not monetized at all before.
>Unfortunately, installation of the adcode is a bit more complex, however we offer three options depending on your needs and technical abilities:
> Normal JavaScript Adcode. It is perfect if you have very low technical skill or if you are using content platform like Blogspot or Tumblr. The downside is that you need to regenerate and reinstall the adcode every few days(not less than once per week).
> PHP AdCode Library. A simple PHP script that you need to include instead of the actual adcode. Simple to use and will work on vast majority of hostings.
> Adcode API - advanced feature that allows you to generate fresh Anti-AdBlock Adcode via our API service. This is ideal if you want to have your adcode automatically updated, but your website is not based on PHP. All these options are now available on the Code Generator page.
>This feature was tested for a while now and some of our publishers doubled their impressions. We hope to see your AdBlock traffic soon!
>Best regards, Tomasz Klekot PopAds.net

>rich, profitable company; one of the most successful in the world
>jew you out of storage on onedrive
If Microsoft had acquired YouTube, they'd have put restrictions on uploaded videos no doubt. 25 GB is nothing and they've put me down to 20 GB forcing me to delete files in order to continue uploading.
Their excuse was that people who had unlimited data were abusing the system.
Yes, I don't see how that's an explanation as to why you reduced all the other plans too. See if you can get the free year of Office they were offering to some people, OP.
>Willingly using Onedrive when greater alternatives exist
Honestly you've nobody to blame but yourself.

Also, if you really need so much space available, why not just rent a good VPS?
