for me, if a girl can use it, you have good UI
If you have to take features out to make it usable by women, it's not good UI.
I don't even understand why you would want to do that.
>>55987591
Women aren't high end users.
If women and old people can use it without having to ask questions/ be afraid of a feature not explained so they understand, and if all of the options are presented in an easy to locate/select manner I'd say it's good. It's all about minimizing the amount of clicks/touches they have to use, because god knows they need to focus more on the road.
Is this worth it?
I found this flash drive while I was on staples, looking for some back to school supplies?
The only flash drive I got is a 4gb staples flash drive I got 5 years ago and I need a new one
Should I get this or a better flash drive?

Why the fuck do you need 128gb of removable storage?
I'm wanting to fiddle with Go or Rust for fun but I can't seem to pick which one due to their benefits/drawbacks. Has anyone used both and could outline their perspective on these languages? Note: I'm specifically asking about Go and Rust because I want to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of C to develop my repertoire. Which would be more beneficial from your point of view?
>>55987405
>I'm specifically asking about Go and Rust because I want to better understand the strengths and weaknesses of C
What? You might be better off asking about C if you want to know about C.
>>55987405
Rust is a meme. Go is a meme but you can get paid to use it.
>>55987405
They have completely different use cases. Go is for writing network services, like the backend of a web app. Rust is for doing high speed low level work where you have to talk to the OS or the hardware directly.

I'm trying to get into this myself, I'm quite amazed at some people on flippa posting results within 1.5 months and it's only about 10 posts, I assume these are luck but the idea is since hosting and domains are cheap, you can take over 30 chances with $100

Get a custom built computer? Or. Build a computer? - Or more technically. - Get a custom built computer if it's cheaper? Or. Build a computer even if it's expensive?
I'm planning on getting a new computer. Very soon. Hopefully. - I'm torn apart between ordering all the parts and putting it together myself or getting something else to do it - if they can do it at a price that is lower than ordering all the parts and assembling it myself.
I wouldn't mind ordering all the parts and putting it together myself. It's more so a money issue. However I can't help but feel like I'm cheated out of the experience a little bit. I mean saying "well I got it for a cheaper price but I could've done it myself" or even "I'll just disassemble it and then re-assemble it myself" seems different. That and basically my plan is to ask manufacturers if they can assemble it like $500 or at least $100 less than ordering the parts and doing it myself. It's almost like I'm worried I can actually get it for $less. So don't have a reason to spend more on parts and put it together. - Also buying anonymously vs. being in a file. - I may never get another chance for this. Indefinitely.
However I am poorfag so saving money is also important. Even a little bit. I know that doesn't seem like a big deal. But. Keeps adding up. I am poor.
I had an old computer from like 2002 and didn't replace that with a little laptop thing until like 2012. I thought that technology had advanced enough that it really would be more than I need - like a lot were saying. But it really wasn't enough. I still think if I got a quad core - or more - if it existed - laptop that I'd probably be alright. But already thought I'd be alright when I got my laptop. I can't afford to experiment anymore. So I decided to go for the best real computer i could get. So.
I have decided to give up the laptop form factor in favor of getting a real computer for more power. I'm coming home.
I'm coming home.
tl;dr I'm planning on getting a new computer.
I'd like some advice and discussion.
A simple vote for making it myself or having something else do it is fine.
But I wanted the discussion to potentially be deeper than a poll. So I omitted it.
So yeah. Put it together for more? Have something else put it together for less? Go for a quad-core laptop or something? Something else?
Just asking.
- Also here's a picture of a Koala. It is the runner-up to the question mark for the decided opening post. Which would be better? You decide.

>buying parts and paying someone to build it/having someone else buy parts and build it
>somehow cheaper than just buying parts and building it yourself
how exactly do you come to the conclusion that paying extra for the service of having someone build you a computer is cheaper than building a computer sans said service, that's not how it works
>"I'll just disassemble it and then re-assemble it myself"
>basically my plan is to ask manufacturers if they can assemble it like $500 or at least $100 less than ordering the parts and doing it myself
you're so silly, anon, it's cute
you can't just call up dell and ask them to build you a computer as if you were ordering a pizza
there might be some manufacturers that do something -kind of- like that, or maybe some places that offer a custom build service, but you can absolutely expect to spend extra for something like that
to answer your question:
a large part of the reason why people build their own PCs is that it's almost often always cheaper than buying a prebuilt of any sort
furthermore, if you want to go really nig-tier you have the option to buy used parts and cheapo xeons and shit
you do the math

i never said you can just call up dell and ask them to build you a computer as if you were ordering a pizza, you came up with that on your own.
there are manufacturers that do something like that, manufacturing "custom build service" same thing, but you can absolutely expect to spend less for something like that

No. Wages are about to fall off a cliff, between H1Bs and offshoring, talent glut, and job consolidation. And corporate America hates IT, culturally. Go comp sci, or MBA, or become a plumber.
After reviewing the extensive list of things you like and hate, I can tell you'd be perfect for a career as a system admin

Fucking google is a piece of shit and won't give me answers.
I have this problem with my phone, it's an LG L973 or some stupid shit, and it works fine until I put the sim card in. At that point, the screen refuses to display anything and only works when i smash the power/lock/unlock button half a fucking million times. Then there's a one in 40 chance that the screen will actually come on so I can see fucking shit.
Anyone have any ideas? Fuck this fucking phone, and fuck LG.
Seeing as I'm on the topic of fucking shit LG phones, I'm only using this turd goblin because my G3 decided to fuck itself dead. Battery drains rather fast, reboots at the slightest provocation and ends up in an infinite boot until I plug it in. Been like it for about a week and then today it fucked itself even harder and now my sim won't work in it.

>>55986778
also forgot the biggest thing
theres an autism mode in CM called performance which is supposed to save battery by throtling the CPU
and the battery still drained
meanwhile stock HTC rom has just the developer mode menus and its stock battery options has a "saver" mode that lets you select thigns, one of them is "exclusive exceessive cpu usage" and theres also a feature to disable background cpu/data usage
all of that and more is in the CM menus yet didnt do shit, just made the phone run like shit when on "battery saver mode"
Just werks on my device been running nightly cm 13 on my s5 with no issues
>>55986778
Running CM 13 on a 1st gen Moto /g/, works really great.
