Not op but...
Are you seriously trying to justify this?
Oh and it just also failed to update now and I ended up with restoring previous version of Windows
I try to su in Ubuntu.
Authentication failure.
I paste the password just to be sure.
Authentication failure.
I passwd and paste the same password.
Password unchanged.

And a rin tin tin to you, too.
So what do you think about this recent trend where every kid should learn to code?
>>55978442
Programming is no doubt a useful skill. It enables forms of expression and knowledge gathering that are not possible with only human languages and pure mathematics. Not every kid needs to become a C hacker, but it would be great for lots of people to have the skills (or at least not be afraid to learn how) to build their own tools.
It also has the added benefit of bringing down labour costs in the software industry.

Linux Dual Boot Masterrace General (LDBMG)
In this general we talk about dual booting any os with linux. Dual booting has it adventages because there's better driver support and you have more software. Dual booting with windows is easy.
Shrink the disk volume > Burn USB with your distro > Choose the option where you can install linux alongside windows.
Today I installed Ubuntu 16.04 with Windows 10

Nice dubs
Tumblr has nothing to do with dual booting. Stop trolling
If Linux is so good and free to use, why does Microsoft spend millions every year developing Windows instead of just using it?
Because it's actually shit and only used by neckbeards as desktop.
Everyone that isn't autistic uses it as server.
>>55978302
Linux is a clone of Unix
sadly MS couldn't just rip it off because patents and shit
>>55978302
Because they are basically being forced to just use it. They started offering it on their cloud platform. They now have a virtualization layer for Linux binaries on their desktop OS. Microsoft is contractually and strategically obligated to keep developing Windows even though it's a pile of shit.
>>55978327
It's fine for desktop usage.
I know static electricity is much less of a concern nowadays.
But is this shit in this image ok to do?
>>55978247
I wouldn't risk.

Hm, I would recommend putting the RAM in the right slots and adding a CPU, otherwise the setup in the picture won't even boot.
Aired in 2010 and these are recommended specs for a VN. I get not needing the power, but its still pretty far behind that years common system specs.

People in Japan are still using Macintosh Color Classics, so I hear.
I'll never understand why some people got obsessed with this Japan "tech lag" meme.
>>55978073
We're talking of VNs. If a pc is powerful enough to play hd movies, it's powerful enough for VNs.
Do you expect them to list unnecessarily high recommended specs for no reason?
Hi /g/, does it happen to you that you want to program but you don't come up with any idea? How can find something to program? What do you do?
>>55977980
Come up with an idea you uncreative shit.
>>55978022
So, how can i be creative?
I've got the opposite problem: I have two personal projects and a collaborative one, as well as ideas for another half a dozen of personal projects, but I need to code so much for uni and work that at the end of the day I just want to turn off my brain and watch braindead anime.

Linux is malware and should be removed from Windows already.
http://www.eweek.com/security/risk-from-linux-kernel-hidden-in-windows-10-exposed-at-black-hat.html
I think with the Linux subsystem you still have to download and install it separately. I'd be more worried about the malware that already exists for Winders personally.
Agreed remove linux from microshaft wangblows It's too much for wincucks to handle
And that's why you should dual boot, in case if you have virus in one, you can easily recover it using the other one
How do you fuck up a simple instant messaging program so bad?

FUCK THIS SHITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT
FUck ubuntu
I have Samsung 305u with 4gb ram and AMD APU E-350.
I was using ubuntu 15.04 over a year. I had full comfy system, it was not perfect, but it was comfy.
For some dumb reason I decided that I have free sunday so I will install ubuntu 16.04.
Works slower, some dumb errors like
When I want to connect to the wifi network using this toolbox in the right corner I have to type password in 15-20s max after pussing button with wifi name then connection is closed and I have to type password in Edit connections. Its small bug but probably annoying as fuck for new users.
but its not the worst part
I had windows 7 on hdd, I was using only ubuntu for last 16month so I decided to wipe win7 that had 60% of hdd.
Now after installing ubuntu I had this shitty lock, unable to connect while trying to do sudo apt-get update.
After reboot and sudo apt-get update & upgrade I was trying to install other soft.
but there was error and it said in termianl that I have to run
sudo dpkg --configure -a 16.04
after that nothing is working, it says there are graphic drivers but screen is 1024x768 and I cant change it.
ubuntu cant find any network devices ie. wifi or lan.
It cant find any usb device like pendrive.
Fuck this shit. I have some shit to do and I am wasting my time reinstalling this piece of fucking flying shit.
wtf

What is the max safe voltage I can run a 2500k on?
Currently I am able to get a stable overclock at 4.4. ghz at 1.34V Vcore.
20 minutes of stress testing with cpu-z gives a max recorded temperature of 64 degrees.
For some reason 4.5 ghz causes a bootloop, so I would probably need to up the voltage. I'm not sure if it's really worth it though for such a small bump.
Wrong pic, this is from my current overclock

The costs for scrapping my entire system for 20% performance improvement are not worth it IMO
