What exactly did this add that was significant? Google's basically doing what Mozilla did with Firefox numbering system.
This is basically 5.2. What justifies a whole other number? 2.0>3.0>4.0>5.0 were huge jumps. This is just incremental.

I've heard that some models sold online are like QC rejects, and that theres a huge difference in their performance and reliability.
You can get a signed 1000hz mouse driver for MLT04 mice
http://www.overclock.net/t/1597441/digitally-signed-sweetlow-1000hz-mouse-driver
no need insecure mode, etc.

And /g/ thinks Linustechtips is bad...
Can we please talk about this joker for a second, I feel like I could dedicate an entire blog just for pointing out this guys bullshit.
He's unapologetically pleb he's not fronting like Linus
Also he is entirely too gay and a 'hand model' so I can't take anything he says seriously. I only watch it sometimes so I know what women/ Normie's like and are interested in

For literally over a year. I've tried almost all distros with KDE flavor; every single one of them ended up with KWIN crashing every 5 minutes or worse.
When will the devs admit it KDE 5 was a mistake and move back to improve on KDE 4 instead, which is a highly useable, stable desktop environment? I tire of this bullshit.
>>56346688
I fucking hate how things scale on the taskbar. If KDE is about choice, then let me choose the size of icons and fonts in the taskbar. Perhaps I'm too used to the Windows aesthetic, but it really looks like shit when the icons in the tray are larger than the icons for open windows. As the taskbar gets taller, the clock scales as well, taking up more and more horizontal space and looking like shit because the font size is so inconsistent from everything else.
Little issues like these plague every single GNU/Linux desktop environment and it makes them all unusable for me. I seriously use a window manager because it's the only thing that gives me the level of control and polish that I want.
Just werked™ on opensuse for me
manjaro went to shit though had to reinstall it
>>56346688
Works on my arch install just fine. I think you are the problem OP.
Yes if someone else is paying it
it's $10 a month. yes. there's some good stuff on it, but the good stuff only makes up about 10% of the content. 90% of the stuff on it is shit. it's worth it just for that.
>>56346579
Depends? Are you a freetard? Do you value reasonable movie selection in the US/saved hard drive space over your wallet/privacy?
It's hardly essential, but it's a nice thing to have for some movies and shows, especially if you don't pay for it.
What is the best chair for long extended use?
Do you guys just use the time bomb office depot/staples chairs?

a fucking leaning chair
>>56346268
Everyone's going to scream "Aeron, Aeron!" but I can't justify a grand on a chair, with the amount of money I make even the 400 craigslisters are iffy.
Allow me to hijack this thread. What would you guys reccomend in the 150 - 200 range?

>>56346217

>>56346360
Too bad. How do you deal with your emails ending up in the spam folder?
Why doesn't this have any apps?
Is there a future for these devices?
>>56346150
I really like the winblows phones, nice UI, very professional, not autistic like android. but the models sold with them are shit and there are no apps for them, at that point its literally just a flip phone with a camera because the apps are nonexistent.
Pretty big shame, I loved the UI and the highly refined user experience, but its just not worth it.
>>56346150
It's got a lot of the apps I like to use, my issue is that there are like two services that my friends love using that I can't get, like hangouts and Snapchat
The second one is a sad thing though, we had a Snapchat solution but then Snapchat sent a cease and desist to the guy and he took it down
>>56346150
MS should have bought android desu
They really memed themselves out of every technology that's going somewhere
Bought a pair of 6970s when they were new because of fermi housefires, but now I wish I'd gone with nvidia instead.
Why couldn't they at least provide updates for crossfire profiles? How difficult is that? Fucking AMD.
Anyways, is 1080 sli overkill? Should I go for 1070 sli instead? I'm planning to upgrade to 1440p when I get my new cards.
>>56345771
>nvidia
>supporting "old" cards
choose one
>>56345771
Pascal is just a peaceholder for.volta
If you don't want to wait just get a single 1070 wich is plenty for 1440p
As soon as volta hits, sell your card and go for a 1170 if they get to make them dx12 and HBM right it will be a killer card
>>56347133
I was forgetting
If you prefer to buy an amd card, say the rx 480, be sure to ger an aftermarket model with an 8pin
6pin is just garbage
Yes, we know everything already is from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on Gearbest, AliExpress, eBay and similar sites.

sorry, my bad
Contactless is rolling out all over Europe, and America still hasn't fully adopted chip&pin yet
I've been to the states a few times in the last couple of years and they still use swipe & sign in most places (plus tip). Embarrassing.

When I was on vacation in the Netherlands it was really nice how you can pay almost everything with credit card
People would probably laugh at you here in Germany if you tried to pay the baker with debit card
I don't have a credit card to try contactless though and I haven't found a bank that offers contactless Maestro or something like that
