Why do so many anime girls read SICP?
Is SICP used in universities anymore, even by MIT? What is the reason for this if the book is so good
>>56357493
>>56357311
It's a meme book. MIT doesn't even use SICP for intro to computer science, they use Python now.
>>56357529
>It's a meme book
The funniest thing is I don't even use SICP but I've written long posts advocating it knowing someone would fall for the meme

Usually when I want something I just buy it but I think this is too opulent for me.
Jelly of anyone that buys this, would make a hell of a comfy bed station
>>56357291
why would anybody want a laptop with SLI?
also...
who the fuck thought that a curved display would be a good idea on a laptop?

holy fuck i dont think i could even pick up this ``laptop``
>I like dynamic linking
>I enjoy DLL hell
>I enjoy ABI instability
>I enjoy sluggishness
>I enjoy dependency resolver issues
>I enjoy preload attacks
Seriously, why does Linux STILL use dynamic linking? It's like distribution developers WANT to make a shitty OS!
Static linking causes huge binaries
>>56357196
Only if you're using very bad libraries (and using them erroneously too) to begin with.
Also, lots of things cause huge binaries, but we do them anyway. We can afford lots of RAM and disk space these days.
>>56357196
It doesn't.
Because unlike dynamic linking the compiler can eliminate all unnecessary code.
Apart from some bistros hard core every nontrivial software requires its own version of a linked library anyway, so in the end dynamic linking causes more bloat, in particular in RAM where it matters.
Sale on of parts at Amazon. Recommendations on a computer case would be much appreciated

How do you organize your shitposting folders /g/?
Folder per board, images inside with a copypasta folder containing text files and other folders for multiple copypasta+image sets.

Should I upgrade from this to a RX 480?
It's still alive but I never overclocked it because I'm a pussy
>>56357017
A 480 would be a good upgrade. Or a Nitro Fury if you can find it at $300.
>>56357042
I doub't it, I buy tech stuff in a neighbour country cuz mine has a shit economy
I'll probably wait until December, but the 480 it's my goal
>AMD
just get a used 970 if you're on 1080p or a 1060. 480 is DOA. if you really want AMD then the 470 is a better value and isn't crippled by the terrible reference 480 design.

Alright guys, let's help all the privacy conscious brothers out, how does one create an email server?
Is a Raspberry Pi enough?
Do most isps block port 25?
How does one make sure that it is secured each step of the way?
Please help a beginner out
>>56356763
>Is a Raspberry Pi enough?
Sure.
>Do most isps block port 25?
Sure. Even if yours doesn't, residential IP blocks are going to be blacklisted by pretty much every major mail provider.
>>56356782
Is it worth it to buy a domain name or should you keep it local?
>>56356824
That question doesn't really make any sense. Do you know what a domain name is? Or what an email server is for?
So /g/ I have a little problem. I've been trying to find a way to use my bluetooth headset with my xbox one. After a lot of Google searching I can't find a way.
Xbox one doesn't have Bluetooth. You can't do it. Google should have told (((you))) this.
